I would usually agree with you that guns aren't that easy to find, but a few days ago I came across 6 m4's in a trip up the West Coast, though I only found 4 magazines between 2 of us. I do prefer the idea of rare ammunition like you said, it would definitely be more realistic. I mean once the zombies have overrun the army, guns would be everywhere but most of the ammo would have been used or taken by the surviving soldiers. I think it'd be painfully great to only find 3 bullets at a time. So you either really have to make those shots count or use something else!

I was taught some valuable lessons yesterday that I really should have already known. A friend and I were at Balota airfield, him with scoped mosin, and me with a shotgun, a sawn off, an FNX, and a magnum. We entered the western jail/barracks and all the doors were closed, and somebody began talking to us from the upstairs room. We spoke for awhile and I edged up the stairs, and he opened fire, luckily hitting the handrail. We told him we'd leave, and carried on to the control tower. My friend really wanted to kill this guy after he tried to shoot me, so he sat in the tower watching the door to the jail/barracks, while I watched the stairs of the tower. A few minutes later we hear a a shotgun reload, confused, we think somebody must be outside. Suddenly, the guy from before steps out from under the stairs and blows me away with his shotgun. I was so annoyed with myself. We should have left along time ago, or at least realised the reload noise was somebody logging in. Also, dirty ghosting b*stards!

A lot of people saying the shotguns don't work, but I was killed yesterday with 1 blast from about 2m away. So i disagree!

Or maybe the 2nd bandit executed the 1st off the edge of the roof? :o

I was wondering the same thing! It took me many attempts before I found a server time that was accurate! But thanks, DayZCommander is still excellent

You used to start with a pistol, but I believe it led to new players having too much instant power and pvp consuming the coast! Now you just have to look around until you find one! The military base is a good place to look

Just wondering.. have you made sure your resolution setting matches the 3D resolution setting?
