Or you could just do it like it got done to me my first time in DayZ and just drag their broken legged soon-to-be corpse out into the street and toss a smoke grenade on them. Same effect, right?

Just like in ArmA 2, though I guess its possible uses in DayZ are all the more sinister.

My second attempt was much better. Again in Cherno. I found an M1911. As I wander around I hear a ricochet (which I learned latter was a hatchet) and I get injured. Some guy came running up behind me with an axe. I turn around to shoot, but haven't actually loaded the pistol yet. I comfortably outrun him as his flails his hatchet at me. Finally I empty my entire clip into his face. I get ambushed by a hoard of zombies as I inspect the body (trying to get his alice pack). I make it to a ladder, but get knocked unconscious before I can climb all the way. When I come to, I fall from the ladder and to my death. Boy was my heart racing.

I think it is. But seriously, I wish instead of getting an Enfield to the back of the head, this happened more often. It'd be so much easier to hop back on and play again, knowing I just got the shit trolled out of me in a manner I can appreciate. I hope you find me one day. -
Hmm... I have a similar set up, except an early 2011 MBP. How much ram do you have (mine has been upgrade to 8gb)? I do need to have all the settings to their lowest, but I can get 88% 3d resolution at 1280x800. It runs fluidly. What kind of video situation do you have going on in there?

When I was having this problem, I figured out I hadn't installed the last patch to Arma II (it's a 1.6 patch, but it isn't the beta patch). My version of Arma 2 would only auto update to 1.57.something and that was what caused the problems logging onto servers and using the mod at all. Performance on MacBook Pro retina

I have an early 2011 (just before the retina display) running Windows 8 Preview with a 2.3 Intel i5, Intel HD 3000 graphics and 8gb ram. It runs the game at mid to low settings just great. I actually installed Windows on my Mac specifically to play DayZ on my computer (so my gf can join me). That setup will run just fine. -
Temperature system either broken or pointless

Just had that problem. Boxes of medical supplies. No antibiotics to be found anywhere. It took me an hour of searching hospitals. The weird thing was that I started with low temp (37*) and got infected right of the bat. -
Playing with two players under the same connection

If you're talking about having two computers using the same service off one router, then it should work just fine. Me and my girlfriend just got done playing, and we play off laptops sharing the same wifi. -

If it helps my girlfriend and I both play on our laptops and the game runs well with mid to low graphics on both machines. Hers is an Acer with an Intel i3 2.1 ghz core and Intel HD 3000 video 124mb L3 video cache . Mine is a MacBook Pro running Windows 8 on Bootcamp with an Intel 2.3ghz i5 and Intel 3000 HD 356mb L3 cache. Hope this helps. -

When you start up Arma II by without DayZ, what version is it at the bottom right corner. Mine kept only updating to 1.57 or something. Once it was updated to 1.60, everything worked fine. -

So I was at the airstrip just off the coast and stumbled across a pair of bodies laying unconscious just outside the hangars. They both had camo snipers and alice packs and there were about four civilian outfit packs laid about. I watched the two for at least ten minutes. After that time, I put a bullet in both their heads and geared up. They both had five mags for their snipers, maps, compasses, watches, entrenchments and toolboxes. They also had an AK5 (AKS-74U) on the ground that I picked up also. The odd thing was that after I killed the two of them, I had neither bandit kills nor murders. What happened last night?

I might be remembering the gun wrong. There was a 5 in the name and AK. But I stopped playing after I went and broke my leg falling off a deer stand all by my lonesome, not even a zombie around to try to do me off. EDIT: Just checked, it's an AKS-74U.

What I don't understand most is the civilian clothing packs. What are those? Can you even get them in DayZ? They weren't dressed differently.
