I've started up my own little stream. It's mostly DayZ and other zombie titles. I'll be streaming all night and probably tomorrow morning, so come by and catch some action. So I saw someone else make a wallpaper for their computer, and it inspired me to try making one for myself. After a little messing around, and searching for some larger images, I came up with this. Let me know if you guys like it. If you do, maybe I'll make a few more.

Sometimes it works and sometimes the hive deletes all of your tents. Shit happens, I guess. One of the first rules of Dayz is don't become attached to your stuff. Seriously, it's a crapshoot as to whether or not a tent will keep your items safe.

Randomly spawning back at the shore with gear

Am I the only one who finds spawning on shore fully geared annoying as hell? I'd much rather end up out in the debug areas and book it into the north of the map instead of through some death gauntlet. -
I believe that is DayZ purgatory. Enjoy your stay, you'll be there awhile.

It was battle dcing, regardless of bullets having been fired. In fact, this is battle dcing at its most flagrantly abusive. Good on ya for filling him with lead. The puss had it coming.

I'm noticing a lot more zombies spawning than normal. To test this, I went out into the wilderness until I came across a hunting stand. Within twenty minutes, there were well over 25 zombies sprawled out in the field overlooked by the hunter stand. Prior to this update, I have never seen so many zombies spawn in one location, and they don't seem to be stopping.

I'm always the one who gets shot first. :) But I, too, have received benefits from not shooting first. I had one long team up with a random survivor who had spotted my in the military camp outside Balota. We had quite the time raid cherno together. Last night I got hunted by a couple guys who, at the end, gave me a silenced rifle and sent me on my way. Talk about a friendly experience, right? -

As a mac user, it was well worth spending an entire day figuring out how to set up bootcamp and installing Windows 8. This game is awesome. -

Me, too. And I have to say, the best experience in this game so far has been when I encountered a friendly and we teamed up to resupply in cherno. Also, I have some antibiotics and a bloodbag. Another also, I saw you wanted people without the default face. So you know, mine is one that has camouflage face and arm paint. -

I'm having problems hunting. Animals larger than a rabbit (no problems with rabbit/chicken) when gutted produce no meat. Is this a new bug with the latest patch, or am I doing it wrong? This problem for me is affecting boars, sheep, goat and cows.

Ok, this makes sense, because I'm noticing about a 50/50 chance of looting the meat off the body right away. I won't sit around an animal carcass for a minute, all out in the open and defenseless. -
I know its a new feature (and usually quite useful to those who spawn in the debug lands. Twice today have I loaded up my game to start on the coastline again (fully geared still). I was almost to the NWAS both times. I guess I'll try somewhere else, but I'm sure as hell getting off the coast. Again.

Mine happened just last night. I was crossing a field NE of Cherno (Maybe N). I heard the faintest voice over the in game chat followed by a few shots going off. Unsure if these bullets were intended for me, I hightail it into the heavy bushes and sparse tree cover there is, attempting to hide from whoever has started firing shots into the countryside. Suddenly, I hear "Thortimer, Thortimer, don't do anything stupid... That's a nice Coyote Backpack you have there... Need a better gun?" Whoever it was that hunted me down and found my hiding spot just wanted to send me off packing a silenced rifle. Simultaneously the most terrifying, intense and pleasurable moment in DayZ. A little reward for not dcing in the middle of a possible fight.

When you're in game, it can be hard to coordinate two people looking at one target. What if there was a way for one player to focus another's attention on a location. For example, two players are approaching the firestation together. One has taken cover up across the street and notices another survivor hiding in some foliage. He presses a button starting an animation that is just your character pointing where his eyes are focused. The second player notices this animation and focuses on player one. A "Focus at Point" option comes up from the wheel menu. Clicking on it instantly focuses the second player's vision to the tree line where the third survivor is hidden. This is also beneficial for the third survivor. Were he to be noticing, he would see that another survivor has pointed directly at him and there can be no doubt that he has been spotted. Better bugger out.

Yeah, I guess if you can't look where someone is pointing, it's your own fault. I just really like the idea of integrated silent communication within the game. -
Whoever got you to pay $30 for DayZ is a genius, perhaps Rocket ought to sue them for royalties on his game.

I can confirm this is happening. When it happened to me, there were six offenders who remained in the server while all others were booted. They are, as follows: Owner Eric *ADMIN* Rednek13 Ziggy Nick Brendan I'm really sad because it's such a fast server. I actually got on and looted a building before they noticed and kicked me the first time.

Pointing Animation And Focus at Point

Perhaps an insta-aim would be unrealistic, but metagaming to me is far less realistic. Maybe focusing on the point should only place your vision in the general area of focus, like how someone would attempt to get your attention silently. What I'd like to see more of is increased ingame communication without voice. Maybe even a set of silent tactical gestures.
