Hello ladies and gentlemen, today I want to present you This is Madness DayZ :) which is an exclusive mod (not available for the public / no public servers). TiMz has been world's first on crafting and weapon attachments and features about 200+ weapons which are customizeable. Furthermore we got other features like base building, more than 20 skins, highly balanced loottables and the best possible environment for REAL DayZ players as well as many new vehicles. Another prologue: There are many servers out there which claim to be hardcore but have 3rd person enabled. There are also many servers out there which say that they offer an authentic DayZ experience. Furthermore there are servers who say that they are balanced but have LAVs and automatic grenade launcher Strykers in their release. Most of them servers out there lack of proper performance and have hacking issues. We compromise all these topics - promise on that. We're looking for players who miss DayZ the way it was before it got messed up by people putting 800 vehicles to the map and making it rather Wasteland with zombies than a Survival PvP mod. We love DayZ the way it is and make it better at points we feel have to be improved. All our features in a nutshell: AI spawn events for vehicles: Special vehicles which are the strongest in our environment have events at their spawn. AI is guarding them and you will have a hard time trying to grab a armed Vodnik (our Vodnik got nerfed big time so that it's certainly not OP).In general our AI is hand-scripted and therefore very challenging. You will most certainly - if you have never played ACE events with headless clients - meet a better and more realistic enemy in facing an AI.We got superior performance: Between regular ArmA (empty map) performance and our mod there are barely 8 FPS difference. If you measure this yourself you won't believe this number. We got new vehicles: M240 humvee, Mi17 modified, Vodnik or Jackal - you name em' With everything we introduce we do a lot of testing to make sure it definitely fits our gameplay style and is not overpowered to take down.Want a new dress? We have more than 20 custom and vanilla ArmA skins implemented which you can find in all kinds of loot buildings. Industrials drop authentic skins as well as a crashsite might drop something more special for you!Balanced gameplay is a big topic for us. We really really take care of stuff being put in and taken out as well as always keeping track of the loottable. When we feel like crafting is too hard (like very much too hard), we nerf it quickly. If a vehicle is like indestructable we take away some armor to make it more realistic (Mi17 is a perfect example: This thing is almost not possible to take down on Retail servers).Whitelisting: People we have knowledge of being hackers or bad people in general stay out - from the beginning. We got many obstacles in a way of hackers and other bad people (more about that later) but the first step is writing an application which describes you / and your team. We decide by taking a loot at this if you fit for our environment. Don't get scared: Most people do but from some people we can just expect to see bad behaviour and so we put an end to this right from the start.Anti-Hacking: We have different types of surveillance. Log based (self-coded), manual admin cameras, self-acting cameras (self-coded) and more. This makes it very hard for hackers to stay like "under the radar" for a longer period. We cannot say that we're 100% at any time of the day but we can say for sure that you won't encounter less hackers anywhere else ;) If some kid makes his way through our barriers and mass damage is inflicted we recover the database and your gear will be back in seconds!Base Building: Yep, you can construct whole bases consisting of concrete walls, wells, sandbags, bunkers, booby traps and more. Like 99% of our features this is also self-coded or rather modified in a larger scale (original credits to Daimyo). We don't take chances by implementing many 3rd party scripts.Advanced crafting: You can craft backpacks, bandages, and other survival gear. Combine some leather and linen shreds to upgrade your Czech Backpack to an Alice Backpack. Just like that. We plan on implementing many more recipies you can craft.Large Weapon Variety: With over 200 weapons from more than 4 weapon packs we have definitely more weapons than you can ever carry ;)Weapon Attachments: This goes together with the last point. By having over 200+ weapons you can customize nearly any weapon the way you want to. Found an ACOG scope in the baracks? Well, put it to your M14 and get a M14 ACOG. Put a sniper scope to the M16 and you will get a Mk12 SPR. You can nearly do anything you want with the attachment system of TiMz.Another huge benefit of our mod is - as mentioned in the beginning of this post- that it's exclusive. Noone else than my team will ever host a TiMz server. We don't want anybody to ruin our quality standards or run a server on slacky hardware. Our mod is meant to be the paradise for dayz players searching for an authentic experience :) And this already leads me to my last points. Is TiMz the right mod for me? It definitely is if... you search for an environment where you / and your team can play without all these bullshit rules like "Don't shoot friendlies" - our rules tell you how to behave on a communication basis, they don't tell you what to do ingameyou want to play in a hostile environment where only the best teams and singleplayers stand a chance: Many teams coming to us keep crying about getting smashed by highly tactical manouvers and teams specialized on taking you out - soon later they themselves become much better teams because TiMz is frikkin challengingyou want exciting sidelining features besides everyday shooting business: Crafting and base building give you many things to do when your mates are offline or the daytime is quite unusual for being online :)you're tired of all these Wasteland like, laggy bullshit servers where hackers smash the shit out of you and your teamyou're tired of servers where you are forbidden to shoot somebody in the face because of crappy stuff like "safezones" where "traders" stand around like it's honey moon in the middle of a zombie apocalypseyou love being a bandit and you're not always looking for friendly Bambis giving you some ingame aid (of course we're not a bunch of aggresive hyperactive retards and friendly actions also exist on TiMz, they are rare though)you want to point your middlefinger in the face of corpses you just shot (yeah that's really possible ;) )If you think this might be the right mod for you, give us a shot. It won't cost you checking it out and if you're the kind of player we're looking for you will love it immediately. Last but not least we're always looking for creative people. If you have any ideas which can make TiMz a better place for you to be, share them! We're always open and friendly towards people discussing in the forums about eventual changes. This is actually your chance to actually influence a mods' development. Visit us at: http://www.hello.tim-dayz.eu/ Note: We don't want to insult any other server by the statements above. We just don't like how DayZ is being mistreated. We don't name any mods so don't feel like being spoken bad about :)

http://hello.tim-dayz.eu/ would be another mod (: I could write an description if it's qualified for listing. We surely got a lot of unique features for it -
Hello fellas, I hope this is the right subforum for stuff like this :) This is about us seeking you! We're looking for reinforcements in our moderator / admin team. So here are the quickfacts about us: More than 7300 members registredIn our prime we had 3 full servers hosted with 50 people eachWe have quite an active community teamWe got some really friendly mods / adminsWe're the only choice for some people since our start (about year back)Most of our admin / mod team is from Germany but we also got Scandinavian people and in our community there's everything from a Russian to an American dudeOur main target audience is Europe although we're not against expandingThis is strictly private mod which will never go out to the public (so it's unique)We've accomplished some things that noone else did... (I don't know about the status now) but we were the first to implement weapon modding (attach sights, take of suppressors etc.) and we were the first ones to introduce crafting (create backpacks from linen and leather shreds etc.). So that's basically it about us We're quite proud about our project... but there's one problem. We need more people to do stuff in different sections. So here is what we seek: Coders (SQF) - btw. I'm head admin / dev of this projectAnimators / Moviemakers - basically needed once to twice a month for marketing channelsModerators / Supporters - help people install our mod, answer questions about ingame stuff, whitelist people etc.Web Devs - push our web program forward (we got quite some nice server management which is all self coded and we also were one of the first servers to provide people with handmade stats, rankings etc.)Community Voices / Orgas - write announcements, organise events (you will get all the assets you need for this) etc.So what do we expect from you? Well... we definitely do not feature starters on their topic. We all require some sort of professionality (which means you got some experience in the shit you do). Here are the quick facts: Be at least 18+ of ageSpeak English fluently (German is a good optional)Have something to show / tell us about you and your workBe a DayZ fanaticHave some spare time (about 1 hour each day should be possible - and no... we don't kick / throw you out of the team if you don't make it to Teamspeak in a week or so... This is just saying: Be kinda active)Have the willing to push one of the most unique DayZ mods further and make it betterFriendly tone and good with team communicationsAnd... well this might be questioned, too. What we can offer you: A very friendly and thankful communityA very friendly admin / moderator teamThe possiblity to get great videos, more experience in coding or simply to have fun being part of this project The thankfulness of our team for supporting thisIf you're interested pls just send me a private message and I will ask you to come to our Teamspeak for some smalltalk We're really looking forward to your application / message! Cheers to everyone, Y0shi

Whitelisting really takes no time ;) - admin speaking here... If we're online and see it instantly it takes like 1-10 minutes max. If you applicate somewhere around 5 am in the morning, well... you may have to wait untill noon but still, this is no time :) I bet you guys will enjoy playing on TiM DayZ because we have unique features, we had many features before they came to other private hives or even the retail and we deliver great support to all our players because we love our community! Join us - you won't regret it -
Hello there! I'm here to tell you about our private hive server. First of all I have to say that this isn't a normal private hive server. We have a lot of modifications going on and our main goals are: Involving the community in decisions Bringing the best possible gameplay experience to our community Keep the server hackfree So what is so special about our server? We run our own DayZ version which we call TiMz (This is Madness DayZ) This means we have patched out the .50cals, We have also patched out the thermal sight weapon (L85A2 LWS) And we removed the senseless nightvision FN FAL We have replaced that by our own weapons like Mk16, G36, M40A3 Camo and XM8 Sharpshooter We have a lot more fun to offer and since we actively involve our community in submitting ideas and making decisions for the next TiMz release, you can actively be a part of what your DayZ experience will become! Another thing we have is a detailed statics page where we award the best players and teams every month... so it's all about competition on TiMz! So just take a look at our forums at www.tim-dayz.eu (the server is located in Frankfurt, DE) and write an application if you want to join ;) Currently we offer some slots but we try to avoid server queue. I'm open for any questions, just write in this topic and I will check back ;) Cheers, see you on TiMz Cherno soon!

Thanks for the kind words ;) Join us! You'll like it - just to note: We implement stuff that DayZ won't probably have before the standalone. Of course we honor Rocket's work but still there are some additions to make. Check out our changelogs and you'll be astonished! -

The zombies will become stronger with the next patch. We don't want more zombies because that get's EVERY SERVER lagging like hell. Same as those 1000 vehicle servers which just ruin the game. We are about a survival experience, not something you could also experience in Call of Duty ;) It's really about realism on our server! -

Hello guys :) I'm founder of a community who is running a quite successful private hive server - successful means everybody on the server is happy about the way things go ;) - and we're trying to improve the game quality of our server! We wan't to remove AS50s, M107s and L85A2 LWSs since they are overpowered - I think everbody may agree with that. We also want to replace them by other weapons like non 50cal sniper rifles and for example a G36. Where do I need to start? Decompiling the DayZ code with e.g. cPBO? We're running DayZ Private (Bliss) - https://github.com/ayan4m1/DayZ-Private. Do I need to start there maybe? So basically we wan't to replace every occurance of those weapons with new ones. I'm not a complete noob at programming since I'm a web-developer for quite some time now so I really know what programming means. I just don't have any clue about that in DayZ. Any help is very much appreciated :) Thanks & Cheers everybody!

DISCLAIMER: We really hope we don't mess with any forum guidelines by advertising for our private server. Since it's still DayZ and since it's still the work of Rocket, we really hope we can post this without getting it deleted or our accounts banned in any way. We really appreciate the work of the DayZ team and what DayZ means to us. Therefore we have no offensive attitude towards the real hive servers. COME TO OUR SERVER - YOU'LL ENJOY IT! Hello everybody! I'm here to present you (to advertise) a server you may not have seen before. if you played DayZ for quite a while and you're getting mad with hackers porting you into the Thunderdome or hijacking cars you repaired with hours of work, this may be the right topic for you! Our DayZ community - This is Madness - has rent a high-end server machine to setup its own servers. We run different servers, until recently also a regular hive server. The reason for us to shut it down was simple and was already mentioned above. There's no sence in playing if everything you do get's simply fucked out the way by some punk-ass 14 year old hacker bitch. Period. On our server there run's something called TiM Bliss which is a private hive server. It's password protected and so only the people we allow to can play on the server. This has the advantage of closing out un-friendly / un-pleasant people. People of who we think they are friendly and fit into our community get a password and may then play on the server. The server is basically quite regular. Everything is like you know it from the regular DayZ hive gameplay, besides there are no hackers or script kiddies. We also prefer teams who come to us and register for the server since they can provide a much higher requirement of tactical gameplay and therefore raise the intensity of DayZ itself. Of course we can't keep cheaters out completely. But we had 2 issues where hackers were spotted, a video posted and they were banned in less than 4 hours. So you can be sure that you always have someone hearing you when you think something isn't quite right. We're a very close community and almost everybody knows everyone. That's the essence of playing DayZ for us. Knowing people, having fun and enjoying the extremely nice gameplay of DayZ. That's pretty much it already. So if you're generally interested come and visit us at www.tim-dayz.eu! You can find the direct TiM Bliss applications forums by following this link: http://www.tim-dayz....s-phive-server/ We're looking forward to your application. Cheers!

A world without hackers: TiM Bliss
Y0shi (DayZ) replied to Y0shi (DayZ)'s topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Hello there! No it's no test. It's simply an application where you tell a bit about your squad / team or yourself so we get a general impression of the persons we let onto the server. No test or something like that ;) -

Thanks for the kind words! Something else I want to add: We have high level hardware and a 1Gbit fibre-cable connection to the main European carriers. High level hardware means 8 cores (eight cores!) and 16 GB of Ram. Event players from the states get a ping of 100-150 which is absolutely fine for ArmA 2 / DayZ. We always have fast loading times (waiting like 3 minutes for a character to create screen you will never experience on our server). Who pay's for it? We do - since we love DayZ and love having such a great community. We offer the option to help us throughout donations but that isn't required and you won't have any disadvantages from it. People are coming and coming because of this thread. Try it, make yourself a picture of it and then decide ;) You won't regret it! -

I shoul also tell you that our communtiy members get to play in events. For example a Hunger Games immitation, Capture The Flag and many more. So there's definitely plenty to do in our community ;) We're looking forward to your application - today we already got 5 new members - more population coming! -
Hello, my community reported that a "hacker" flew right over them with an UH 2 times in a row: First he came right over them, the guys shot him and the UH went down (AS50). 20 minutes later the guy came back and crashed the helo himself. The reported name was: [TBCP] Casper Player ID: 47734086 The event happened between 11:45 and 13:30 GMT+2 so on the serverside it was about 3:45 to 4:30 AM UTC-6. Here are the logs - the funny thing is that exactly this guys really died 2 times and one time he found a pipe bomb about 10 minutes after his spawn. How is this possible? :D I dont believe in randomness here... 3:25:26 "LOGIN ATTEMPT: "47734086" [TBCP] Casper" 3:25:29 "LOGIN LOADED: B 1-1-A:1 ([TBCP] Casper) REMOTE Type: Survivor1_DZ" 3:25:29 Hi everybody, the title is self-explaining. We got a dedicated machine with a 100mbit bandwith flat. It has a i7 2600 Quad Core CPU which is currently at 3,4 GhZ. It also has 2 TB of HDD and 16 GB RAM. I would say: "No big deal to handle a DayZ server". The problem: If there are more than 30 players on the server, the FPS drastically drop to 5-12 FPS which is quite low for that ammount of hardware - I guess?! So how do you guys run your DayZ servers, how to you boost your performance? Any tips? I already got regularcheck on = ""; but that doesnt help as much as expected. What to do?! Please help! Cheers!

How to boost server performance
Y0shi (DayZ) replied to Y0shi (DayZ)'s topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
So what you say is that the server fps have no influence on the clients FPS? We restart our servers every 4 hours to ensure maximum gaming pleasure... and still after 4 hours the game seems to get a bit more laggy. What are your parameters to start the server? Especially cpuCount and exThreads? Thanks for the nice support guys ! :) -
How to boost server performance
Y0shi (DayZ) replied to Y0shi (DayZ)'s topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
The point is not that I dont know how much servers to run. The point is: I find it extremely funny, that this kind of hardware produces only 10 fps at 40 players. I mean WTF?! Is there any possibility to use ressources more efficently?
