He said the standalone will have it's own Virtual Reality Engine... so, neither Arma 2 nor Arma 3, but a mix of it. Whatever that means.

Stop crying. The server does not follow the rules, simple as that. If you want to play alone and ban everybody that isn't one of yours, you will have to get your own hive. Please blacklist this shit. Cocky server admins everywhere.

rocket, can you tell us if you are going to publish any news regarding the standalone BEFORE gamescom? I don't want to read every post in the thread just not to miss any information. Just say no if there is nothing coming before gamescom and I can finally rest in the days between.

Just buy Arma 2 Combined Operations from Steam for 25 bucks and you're settled. Install Arma2, start it, close, install Arma 2 add-on (contained in Combined Operations), start it, close, download SixLauncher, start as Admin, it will download all files. Done. The free version of the game has terrible graphics. That's why it's free.

It is. He is probably porting the current state of the alpha to the standalone and develops it from there. Also it has been said by some official in the forum that they are working simultaneously on the Mod and the Standalone, and that they want new content for the Alpha of the Standalone to be ready when it comes out, so players don't feel ripped off when they just bought Arma2:CO - e.g. base building, better animations and stuff like that. -

I saw this survivor and his friends and I shot them, all of them, without distinction. I didn't even hesitate. This is a crazy, forsaken world, a living hell. I help them escape this nightmare. Helicopters currently leak their fuel when they are not 100% repaired. Even if just one windscreen glass is missing. I say fix this and let only fuel leak when the fuel tank is damaged. Everything else just doesn't make sense and is annoying. Thank you.

Yet it leaks and as you said it is annoying. Therefore it requires a fix. I am not saying it should be the highest priority, but there should be at least a note on rocket´s to do list for the future.

When will the Zed behaviour be a focus in the following patches? Currently, when they charge you it is almost impossible to hit them - at least in the head, because they rush extremely fast, run in zig-zag, skip frames in the attack animation and on and on. With the weapon nerv by Arma 1.62, Zeds are really annoying to deal with.

Two days ago a helicopter was flying over my head. I shot my whole M249 mag, switched to M107 and took him down eventually (that crash). His body had a G36C SD (cammo). I just found out that apparently it's a gun that should not belong in DayZ and was hacked in [Citation needed]. Do I have to get rid of it? Can I keep it? It's a lovely gun... it would be a shame, really. Any official words?

I've thrown it away... what a shame. It is such a lovely weapon. Why isn'it it added in DayZ?
