  2. I have had the problem with one player and now it's myself who is concerned with being stuck in the loading screen. The .rpt on the server says: 21:01:32 NetServer::SendMsg: cannot find channel #1555178298, users.card=11 21:01:32 NetServer: users.get failed when sending to 1555178298 21:01:32 Message not sent - error 0, message ID = ffffffff, to 1555178298 (muad'dib) any idea where to look further or what it could be??? edit: after a change in my players profile (name) suddenly it works.
  3. Hi. Hopefully you support my Idea to have one single thread, where all the questions that occur often several times a day like "is this legit" or "is he cheating" etc. can be posted in. I have those questions myself sometimes and I think it's a waste to start a new thread for this every day?!     when a player shoots another in open battle and the friendly fire message appears (no logging in or debug forest/outside normal world), what's that suppose to mean?
  5. Hey. I'm wondering if there is a documentation about the Battleye Detections, especially the script detections and everything else managed by the .txt - files in the BE folder (like createvehicle.txt; scripts.txt etc.). As far as I remember the #100 refers to the line 100 in the according .txt file and if there are lines commented out then I must not count them? Then is there an overview about the exact meaning of the lines in the txt files? I've always found some bits of information, but not a complete explanation of the detections/log entries and how to be able to understand what the player was probably doing to have caused them.
  6. me personally, I've never found one except in a V3S, it had some in it's gear, but I don't remember how many. I need to be sure before I ban those guys. I think they used a bug to duplicate their stuff but how can i prove it, i have database access.

  10. oh damn, i just copied it over on the server and didn't back up the older version, hopefully it won't kick the players then?! perhaps you should disable that line

    you can try to flip it with another car. in some situations it's possible if the surroundings of the place allow it.

  14. being a customer for more than a week I would like to inform the interested user about my experiences so far negative: no timezone, the server resets the time with ervey restart. if scheduled restarts are more than once a day, you can't have a timezone like utc-4 and the automatic restarts still are not reliable server has lags and connection problems it is playable the most time though, but the yellow and red connection symbols are showing up on a regular basis and lags already caused me and my mates some ingame casualties - I don't see these problems on our second server (different serverhoster) server crashes about once a day (they say it would have to do with the alpha state - personally I don't believe it's always the cause of the crashes; I don't use any modified files) BEC is not running although it was advertised weeks ago the timestamps on the serverfiles are always resetted with every server restart which makes it very uneasy to go through logs and have an overview over the activities on the server, because all the relevant files keep the time /date/modified information of the day the server was set up... ! they talked about the possibility of a private hive, if you set it up yourself, but I don't see the possibility, you would need other kinds of access to install and run your own database on the server than the current ftp access positive: cheap possibility to switch back to 1.7.2.4 ftp access
  15. duping sux, in fact I don't think it would be a problem to "detect" by the logs. don't know, if any of the log parsing tools detects it already?! I don't know, if you are allowed to ban players for bugusing.. at least on my server I would do it. still the problem on the hive version remains, that players just can gather stuff by server hopping/duping/using all the bugs and holes in the game and then connect to your server.. one more reason I rather like to play on well managed private hive servers! there are even some of those, that have already fixed the main probs of 1725! tents in 1725 dupe what they had in them when first saved after every server restart.. as many already know.
  16. yep. gotta look for a server with v1724 if you want your vehicles staying... de 2118 for example.

    ^^ i wouldn't set it to 1725, your vehicles will not save their positions anymore (after a restart).. I would wait for a fix or a new version or you play with vehicles only from restart to restart (which sucks imo).
  18. just asking, when there's a dayz update, how to do it properly in order to preserve the bases and stuff that are set up on the server ingame? thanks.
  19. nope, but with using dayzcommander it's very easy, it has an inbuild switch option. it just downloads the patches as .rar files and places them in the game directory, so there ready to be unpacked by the next time you switch from one version to another. it works fine, one of our server's also 1724, so I ve used it more than once now.. :)
  20. what about the versions and how do i now which version it is by looking at my files? because I switched back via a backup feature of my provider. I have ftp access to the directories @dayz and @hive.. I downloaded the dayz server version 1724 and the file size is not all the time the same than on my server, but the server seems to run and save things fine. my hiveEXT.dll for example has a size of 122.368 bytes. now what is broken regarding the saving, I thought after reading a lot of reports it was 1725.. then someone wrote, the hive.dll would be the problem. so what's causing the problem (beside problems of the hive server/s themselve/s): hive 073 or dayz1725 and can hive 072 run with dayz 1725 and the same question vise versa for 1724 and hive 072? /edit: I did some research again, and perhaps these are the two fixes needed (but you must be able to compile files..): https://dev-heaven.net/issues/41502 https://github.com/ayan4m1/DayZ-Private/commit/ac9db685023f76449d284a7ee04bf7baac9e2031
  21. hey. i never had the common graphics bug in version 1724. then in 1725 it suddenly appeared. now i switched my version back to 1724 and tried an 1724 server and the bugs were even worse than in 1725. how can that be? maybe a problem with this particular server not running the complete 1724 as it was?
  22. which hive version is used in v1724, because many ppl reported the vehicle saving problem gone after switching back.
  23. @ponzo: it's probably a problem with 1.7.2.5 or the hive or a combination of both. look at the forum. and there's an option in the plugin/addon menu for 1724. though it didn't work, i got the same probs as the user on the 1st page. the webinterface downgrade did not work properly (server stuck in creating, no one can connect. filesize not the correct ones for 1724. trying fresh game-install via webinterface led to a stuck process and JSON ftp error, when trying to connect to it). waiting for more than 24 hours for support now. let's see how long it takes.

    Servers going down.

    perhaps search for a clan/community with it's own server and running version 1.7.2.4 as it seems to be more reliable in saving. many servers are rented by small groups of persons, that may not continue with the server because of the lack of administrative possibilities or the frustrating problems with the latest version (or maybe a combination of both). those bigger communities won't shut down their servers so suddenly I guess.
  25. Hi. One thing I keep asking myself is if a private hive would or could be a solution to this problem? I mean, if it it's a 1.7.2.5 problem what difference does the hive make?
