np & thanks for your help. Looks like I have everything setup right. But the server is stuck at Creating. Is it typical for this to take a while the first time? When a player joins I get an update in the server log that the hive is starting, and objects load. But were stuck at a black map.

Yeah it's starting to seem that way, I'm a huge newb when it comes to internet stuff & servers. I'm much more of a hardware guy. I've received the following response from a HFB rep, and only got a one sentence reply to 3 questions... "Your current server connects to the main HFB hive. Any other services connect to HFB's private hive(s)." To me this seems like they don't offer any servers connected to the main hive. I'm still quite confused. Idk if the HFB hive means the main hive my characters data is currently saved to, or if its HFBs own circle of servers. If they do in fact offer this service, I've been told no method to correct that or purchase the type of server I want.

Hi2u, I have a few questions about HFB servers if someone is able to assist me. I just purchased a "DayZ Package", intending to start my own server with access to the main hive, unfortunately I believe i picked up a private hive only server. My question is, does HFB infact have ANY servers with main hive access, and if so which ones? Their website is a bit redundant about things & not so clear about others... Or maybe I'm just setting it up wrong somehow, as each time I log into it I'm on the beach as a fresh spawn. Any assistance is appreciated.

Happend to me about 4 times so far, i'm probably putting the game on hold for a while... too damn scared to log in and lose all my gear again. I'd say most of the time I kept my gear, and just respawned on the coast... the rest I lost all my stuff omitting what was in the active inventory, weapons / backpacks, all gone... It seemed to always happen when I was forced to ctrl alt delete out of a infinite loading screen.

My single player game seems to be affected as well. Was working yesterday, installed the latest patch today, & let the 6 updater do it thing... Now I can't run any missions / training simulations ect ect. In multiplayer on DayZ, I get the infinite loading screen / waiting to create character 100% of the time.
