Teach (DayZ)

I uploaded the torrent file for the 1.7.2.3 here: http://www.mediafire...o1gm9gcb3j7y1aw So what you need to do is simply copy the files you downloaded to your /@DayZ/addons folder inside of your Arma2 installation folder (I strongly recommend backing up the files inside of there first though) It will prompt you to overwrite, click yes naturally. And in case you do not have a program to open the torrent file, I suggest getting the utorrent at http://www.utorrent.com And yes, you need to find a server running 1.7.2.3, but there are still plenty of them around, so that shouldnt be a problem. To find them quickly, just press Filter when you are in the serverlist in-game and just type in "1.7.2.3" in the "Host:" field.

For me it worked to edit the sceneComplexity to 100000 in Yourname.Arma2OAProfile inside your Documents\Arma 2 folder AND setting the video memory to normal/low AND setting the HDR to normal. I haven't gotten any graphical glitches after doing those steps. This, of course, is not a solution, just a temporary fix.

Changing the video memory to Normal fixed this issue for me, atleast temporarily, will report back after some more playtime

Are you using the default graphic drivers that came with the laptop? If you are, that is the first thing you should update, errors or not. On some laptops you need a modified .inf file to install the drivers correctly (this is only necessary with Nvidia cards). If this is the case, let me know so I can help out with installing the new drivers.

It is not only an ATI issue, I have an Nvidia card and the same thing happens to me near the Berezino army tents

I'd like to update my situation. It appears I was extremely unlucky when trying out servers the first time around, I have now tried 15 other servers and 13 of them work as intended. And to clarify, I am using the manual installation, NOT SixUpdater (betapatch 95389)

My most memorable moment was when I was looking for weapons in the balota deer stands and I saw a bus going by. The guy noticed me aswell and told me to hop on on VOIP. As I ran for the bus, a sniper started shooting at me from the airstrip. I barely escaped with my life and managed to get on. We went on to play for some hours traveling in the bus until we got ambushed by a group that had grenade launchers near Stary Sobor.

As many people have stated, you just need to be patient, it is an alpha mod and patch days for most FINISHED games are just as bad if not worse, take Diablo 3 for example.
