I am just a neutral party here, and I just made an observation, not an accusation.

I think it would be fun and exciting for an hour or two, but there would be no challenges left in the game, so it would grow old very quickly. The PVP aspect of the game is what makes it exciting. There's nothing like encountering a fellow survivor in the middle of the woods and having your heart skip a beat, just because you don't know whether or not they will fire upon you the moment they spot you. I could add several other similar situations, but I'm sure you get the jest of it :)

As the soldier clothing is an item only obtainable by hacking it in, it does make your story a little suspect. edit: Also taking in account the screenshots DaveyP added, it smells fishy.

I'm just addressing a well known issue in the game. And also my comment wasn't directed at you per say, it was in general. And as for not being able to say if it's cheated, well.. By cheated I mean an unintentional glitch in the game which is not supposed to be there or to be taken advantage of.

Sigh, I find it interesting that you brag about looting CHEATED items and make raid plans in the open, that makes you just as bad as the dupers themselves, if not worse. Ah well, go figure..

I also had a similar thing happen to me just 3 days ago or so. I was happily riding my ATV when suddenly I was teleported to the sea about 12km off the coast along with everyone else on the server. I managed to alt+f4 out quickly enough but as I was doing so I saw a spam of "xxx was killed". Luckily enough a friend had a PBX stashed away on another server and she launched a rescue mission. An hour and 2 infected players later we arrived on Skalisty Island and went on to hunt for antibiotics only to be hacked again a bit later. This time we were instantly killed and there was nothing to be done. I guess the miserable buggers have to take their rage out somehow, but hey atleast it's better than shooting up schools.

I once survived that jump by alt+f4ing out while falling, when I logged back in I spawned on the ground. *grumble grumble* Bloody hackers!

What I usually do is set up a meeting point inside a building that I have set up with satchel charges in and have a friend on standby if the other player happens to open fire

edit: Sorry, misunderstood the last question But yes, you can do that, or just place the item on the other player's backpack. There are many options

There are trusted trading groups around, like the Freeside trading company and CTS (their camp was just raided so they are out of busines for now) Also, when looking for someone to trade with, the safest bet is to pick someone who already has positive feedback from other traders. Also if you are not sure if you can trust a guy, you could store your items on your own server and set a meeting point on another server and only bring the item you are trading. That way if things go sour, you won't lose all your items, just one :)

you can host a free Ventrilo server that holds up to 9 people, and it can be downloaded from their website. If you need more room, you need to rent a server or pay for a license.

You could also try jumping and alt+f4ing the moment you hit air, with any luck you will spawn on the ground below, this is highly risky though

You have been extremely lucky then, I've been a victim of hacking on 6 different servers, US and Europe alike. The "hackers" seem to be systematically hitting up servers left and right. On 2 out of 6 occasions I have managed to come out with my gear intact thanks to a quick alt+f4 and help from friends. Why just yesterday I was teleported to sea 15km away from shore, my friend managed to find a PBX and pick me up to safety, as a result though we both suffered an infection and had to go to high danger areas to look for antibiotics, damn near got us both killed.
