Well, perhaps this thread should be stickied or archived for when ARMA 3 is released? We also could continue the thread so we'll already have really gotten some good feed back by the community by the time the idea can be realized.

I think that the addition of adding weapon attachments would add a new twist to the game. Instead of finding already decked out guns you will start finding more "blank" guns. Of course, guns with attachments on them already will still spawn, but they'd be a little more rare. In order to find attachments you'll have to raid loot spots according to how good the loot table is. Example: thermal sights and silencers will spawn in places like Stary, while things like ACOG sights and flashlights will spawn in hunting stands. Each weapon would have it's own distinct attachments that it can fit. Example: an M4A1 will fit an M203 grenade launcher, while an M14 will not. Perhaps weapon attachmens could be used as a form of currency as well. It would give an incentive for people to trade and be more realistic other than just slaughtering everyone. Which is a win win scenario.

I think it was an unexpected bug. We all have our opinions about the ghillie suits but I think they were a great addition to the game. Instead of improving upon the PvM qualities of the game it adds an extra challenge when dealing with players. Which is a double edged sword.

I logged in earlier this morning only to find myself invisible. My friend, who spawned with me, could not see nor hear me. He couldn't hear my gunshots either. But he could see them. After the server lost connection we joined another server. When I spawned I was in the same spot, only my ghillie suit was gone. And in the side chat a ton of people were saying their stuff was gone and some people had spawned on the coast. What's up guys? Will people get their items back? Will I get my ghillie suit back? Help!
