the team was pretty small that done the mod and avg size dev team of smaller games. even now there wont be that many probably 5-10 working on it i bet. dayz was big but at its current state its nothing like when at full hype. you may gain some of that back but i cant see half as many buying to start off maybe 100,000 if that. if the game does do well and the hype does build then maybe in a year you may go half a million if full hype train is on.thats a highly hopeful guestmate aswell as most game companies are literally one game away from being bankrupt ! thats pc sales not including consoles which depending on which they choose could make the game a massive seller. consoles = mega bucks and it will come on one of them guarenteed ! most likely ps4 at moment. what you need to remember is rockets probably had his money for the project and has to finish it an sell it then BI will probably get all the sales or most of it maybe royalities or something. so rockets just like a employee heading this project. or maybe heading it. who knows but he and the contract.will be interesting when this game is done what hell do next . will he just carry on working on arma titles or do something else.

haha you make out dean is the only one that is doing this nearly every indie small game devs do this ! we do like the game ! hes a dev, its not out of the ordinary. you are coming across as a bit of a ass kisser and that is why many poke a little stick at you for your comments ;) dean hasnt finished the game yet so that is probably why hes still around as you put it :lol: so open your eyes a little and maybe read other game fourms and see hes not super human hes just doing his job like any other game dev ;)

thing is some of the charm of dayz is the fact that not everything is done perfect ! some of the best fun in the game is through odd shit happening. while i do want obvious bugs fixed lets not polish it until there is nothing but a shiney thing.

this is standalone not the mod ! we dont need to mod it keep it all official that way no exploitation we all play the same. as soon as private and modded servers come in comes exploits selling gear again and live player view in admin tools. no point in playing the standalone if this is going to happen. infact im sure most admins are shitting it because of the actual revuinue most will lose from selling gear packages ! i asked rocket on twitter other day he said they havent worked on admin tools yet. to the guys on about dediboxes it was said that there would be support for those ages ago.

i wouldnt recommend any tbh. wait for standalone . most big streamers youtubers are friends with the admins on the servers they play on . watch your fav big youtuber and you may notice how they always have great gear :lol:

might aswell ask again wont be answered but hey ho...... heres 3 questions i would like to know about. so basic questions that should be answered about tools - Q- Can admin see your place on map live ? Q- Can admin give gear or spawn gear for him or others (including vehicles when in ) ? Q- Will other server tools be allowed ? so say a server group/hosting company makes a 3rd party viewing tool will that be banned or stopped? some companies have made server tools that show 24/7 positions and many admins use this currently.

as said if you havent played them they are light years ahead graphically but they are games that are very heavy graphics. arma 3 isnt even close to those 2 mentioned.

probably bit better than the mod but i dont play it for the graphics. its hardly cutting edge. if you want mega graphics go play crysis 3 or shyrim modded.

maybe the conditions were very good ? or they were fool hardy or just wanted to push . sometimes whats right or wrong isnt always right or wrong and why humans are awesome

or they have admin tools which view exactly where you are and give themselves loot ultimate gear then come straight to you. this is the most common answer to servers like this. when you on see who the server is run by this way you can see if they have live watch admin tools ;) or ask them if they have the tools , warning if you ask and they are abusing the tools youll probably get booted as you rumbled them :lol:
