    US 863 Nuked

    occurred at around 12:30 GMT-8 whole server, a whole 5-6 people, including my group of 3, died instantaneously and all vehicles/buildings were destroyed. i knew it was only a matter of time before this happened to me...
  2. i was providing overwatch from the hospital in berezino with all my best gear with me. sniped the first bandit who came our way, then the hospital completely explodes, my legs break, and i die. i eventually found my body, but some noob with a winchester found it first.

    seriously, what i dont understand is why people that play the game to kill new players can't seem to reaslize that maybe, just maybe, they could quench their thirst for blood by playing a conventional shooter with the fast paced bloodshed they desire. but surely, these types of games havent been developed yet, have they?

My server got nuked, and when my group reached our stuff some kid was camping our bodies, waiting for us to return. he couldnt manage to kill even one of us before shitting himself and running away. we got our gear, hunted the little cunt down, and i shot him an upwards of 20 times while he camped in a tree, then he alt+f4s. he hid my body before we got there too.
  8. this is called getting out-played they saw you first NOT because of luck. its because they used stealth and you didnt, like you just stated above. "they moved while you werent looking" is not luck, i use this to my advantage. why on earth should you move to another spot while they are looking? thats fucking nonsense.

  10. realism is more fun because it greatly increases the immersion. the possibility that a sniper could be on a hill with a 1 shot .50cal adds to the immersion by making you paranoid and ever vigilant. it creates an actual fear that one mistake could cost you your life, just like it could in real life. if gun damage were decreased, people could run away from fights more often, and they would be way less intense.
  11. but you see, the problem with this is how unbalance you just made all the guns. why should any precision rifle be 3-4 shots, while automatic rifles are 5-6? an automatic rifle would win every time. the game's bullet damage system is quite adequate and realistic, making center of mass hits deal the most damage, with the exception of headshots. seriously think about what you just posted. WHY ON EARTH WOULD I TAKE 5-10 MINUTES CALCULATING RANGE TO TARGET IF MY FIRST SHOT, OR EVEN MY SECOND, ISNT GOING TO INCAPACITATE MY TARGET. sniping would be dead. DEAD.
  12. first off, fun is objective to one's point of view. i currently think the game is fun as hell. second off, fun is not what rocket is striving for. he wants dayz to be gritty, dark, and difficult. thirdly, i can't imagine putting even more bullets into someone being more fun. this just drags the fight out and lets anyone else who heard the gunfire have a better chance of joining in and ending it for both of them. if you really want to shoot people more before they die, try using the M4A1 CCO SD, or any suppressed weapon for that matter. combined with the lag, you can put a whole mag into someone point blank before they collapse. does that sound like fun to you? this isnt skill, far from it. he could have heard the footsteps you made while coming down though, which gave him a chance, but he was probably really new or listening to music. you also had a major advantage from spawning there, which is why i never abort when in buildings. you could spawn in another player's sights, or the other way around, which is completely unfair. on the all angles note, you may not be able to SEE at all angles, but you can HEAR in 360. if they dont move, learn to check your sectors, check rooftops, windows, doorways. you dont think strategically whatsoever, do you? if you dont get tunnel vision or walk out in the open for long periods of time, people wont get the drop on you. im always the first one to make a move when im at a high PvP location because of the simple fact that i stay alert. you can use the free look button to turn your head without turning your body, which is very helpful in achieving this. its all about the way you play, not a roll of the dice.
  13. luck has nothing to do with anything in this mod besides loot spawn. if someone saw you first, its because YOU were not being careful enough. and if they kill you on the first bullet? NOT LUCK. its called aim. they took their time, snuck up, and took you out like a pro. this isnt a run and gun shooter, you have to be alert and pay attention to your surroundings. You need to develop an eye to catch thing sthat are out of place that hint towards the presence of another player. PvP in a nutshell.
  14. well aren't you an ungrateful little shit >wants guns to do less damage how about we test the realism of these weapons on you, and see if you can take a bullet to the chest and live. >zombies too easy they arent supposed to be hard. they are a means to alert other players of your presence if you decide to play like a dumbshit and agro all of them. try playing on a populated server for once, scrub. >all the rude remarks listen here, you have NO RIGHT to come onto these forums and behave the way you've displayed. you are playing someone else's game, and if you dont like it, DONT FUCKING PLAY IT. i can already tell by your name that you're a generic douchebag that probably came here from MW3 ad are probably playing on a 5 year old computer. do us all a favor, NEVER buy a better PC, NEVER come back to PC gaming. thank you, and may you catch a .50 to the head while running through elektro.

    the only m4 with an m203 has a holographic sight, not a suppressor. if you see ANY assault rifle with a suppressor that ISNT the M4A1 CCO SD, it was hacked in.

    but you see, intel fanboyery isnt an arguement against the fact that AMD CPUs are more than capable of running ARMA and other games. You also pay half as much for a processor of THE SAME PERFORMANCE. so what if an i7 is as good as the FX 8 cores, when the AMD is only $160, whereas the equivalent i7 is $400.

  23. Currently, we have 1 assault rifle, 2 sub-machineguns, and one pistol that are suppressed. I would like to suggest that the MK17(SCAR-H) CCO SD be added to the game. -it would be the first suppressed 7.62 rifle to be added, which would have more stopping power than the M4A1 CCO SD but have slightly less range. -Considering it is also a much larger round, it would be the loudest suppressed weapon in the game. you sacrifice stealth for power. -It would also add MK17 SD magazines to the game, so it cant run off ammo that could previously be found and further distinguish itself from the M4. -These magazines only hold 20 rounds, whereas STANAGs hold 30. another sacrifice to think about that would also reward accurate shooters and punish sprayers. Overall, i do not see this as the addition of some overpowered gun. It has pros and cons that would influence one's decision to use it over an m4. the ammo could be scarce, or it could be a weapon only found at Heli crash sites. i'm just throwing this idea out there. i'm not going for anything creative, just something else to keep people hunting and to help diversify the weapon pool of this mod.

    Higher Variation of Suppressed Weapons

    in real life, the 5.56 travels much farther than the 7.62 because it is a lighter round that requires less kinetic energy. this also relates to the muzzle report being louder because of the extra energy required to give power to that round. if you ask any gun expert about this, they will agree. i'm sure there are plenty of videos on youtube on the issue as well
