I'm certain that whatever interaction you're asking for occurs now so, why is that thing you want so much better than all other things that other things should be expunged? because you didn't have fun? DayZ isn't about fun. because it wasn't fair? DayZ isn't about justice. because it wasn't risky for the guy with the NVGs and sniper rifle? sure was, it's just that you didn't pose the threat, because you was dead fyi 'walking slowly' is not 'being cautious' - move quickly from cover to cover for the lowest chance of being seen and hit

Ghillies are a valuable tool in DayZ, as they are in live combat To be clear: this is a suggestion to emulate the long period of time required to fashion and mature a ghillie irl it has the effect of rewarding a player who is able to survive for a decent peroid (perhaps a week) Suggestion: ghillies cannot be found instead, ghillies are accumulated - when camo is found, the player may right click it and select a 'prepare ghillie' option - the gestating suit takes up two inventory slots - once a certain period is complete, the ghillie becomes availible for use as normal 'certain period'? - x days on the count? - y hours in game? - z amount of time spent in forest? etc irl the ghillie's manufacturor would have to spend time collecting local vegetation and weaving it into his suit anything resembling this mechanic would smack of a fetch quest ('gather two [2] orange shrubs...') and that doesn't appeal to me having said that, Rocket has commented that irl skills should improve player's ability in game - so maybe gathering and weaving and the patience required would be important

    the OP has been update to make it clear that this is a crafting process that takes a long period of time (unlike everything else crafted in any game ever [except Salem]) and absolutely has nothing to do with BF3 you fucking retarded little imps

    stripped down, the argument OP and his supporters rely on runs thus: > Nights make for a different, more challenging game > In the blind dark the most forbidding opponent is the man who can see > That man is scary > He is so scary that my tactical considerations and risk assessments cannot account for his goggles > I refuse to adapt and grow my gameplay to contain such a scary man > Therefore Rocket must remove the scary man from my game this is the same logic that spawns PvE-only servers, creates threads demanding all scoped weapons be removed, and will one day reduce DayZ to WoW4Dead stamp it out there isn't meant to be any; DayZ's systems are intended to be organic - it's only natural that men with nightvision become the top predators in darkness decide how you want to deal with such a threat (my advice: when it's dark and you can't see, don't go to busy areas you suspect may harbour or attract NVG bandits)

    hey OP should I be punished? I play in a tribe we kill the majority of the players we meet who aren't in our tribe: we have a responsibility to protect and sustain one another, just like any social construct from family to NATO, and we do what the situation demands but even if we didn't PK, our lives would still be easier than yours (see this thread) given these advantages, your logic dictates that we be nerfed, severely
  21. the solution is simple: don't play any DayZ until it gets released as a stand alone game for $60 - when it does, you can expect this kind of customer care to be a part of the package right now you're playing the alpha of a mod of a game with a storied history of hackers and bugs the handful of volunteers trying to get this thing off theground are inundated with requests for rollbacks of characters but your character's existance cannot be a priority so report what happened, hope that your testing helps close that hole in the code and respawn
