I have the same probably but with a older version of the patch. I've ran the update several times now its says it completes, but when I launch the game its still the old beta.

I found a can of food and a soda in a deer stand in 1.7.1.1 I only played for about a hour and didn't visit that many structures.

Sounds like hackers are just whining to make it seem like Battle-Eye has screwed up. Hoping that they reverse the crack down on hacking.

Also, I would like to add that I would really like the idea of having a dog companion if they are implemented, being able to sense if someone with low humanity is near by. After all, dogs can sense these things right? It would be the least meta way to determine humanity IMO. It would give bandits something to FEAR!

YES. It will work because basically who ever spots the other first still has the advantage. The bandit see's you first you are dead. If you see them, you can take cover and then decide. Friend, Fight, or Flight.

$39.95! The good ole days of new release PC games. Though I'd pay the fully inflated price of current generation shooters of $60. I'd also be willing to pay a modest subscription fee. I think this game deserves continuous revenue. Also if there is a central server it does need to be maintained. If distributed through steam. I would like to see discounted 4 packs to be able to give friends.

I can't wait to buy Arma III, and will probably get DayZ if it comes out as a stand alone game.

I don't mind if people play the opposite sex, even I do in many games. Not here though. I am not bandit, but if I see a female character I will probably shoot them on sight. Unless I know them personally. This will be to much of a distraction for me in this survival game. I will not let anyone have a advantage over me based on sex. I know there will be women that really play and want to match their gender. I just hope they are playing with there friends so they are safe. The excuse in this games for guys wanting to look at a female body as they run around doesn't hold up in this game. They basically look like men with female faces.

I usually like to play a female character. This game will be a exception to that. I don't need the distraction, and will probably shoot any distraction I come across.

I think server times are wonky. You can log in at it will be 3am. but someone else that has been playing for three hours it will be 6am. Same thing if you have been playing for 3 hours, if someone logs in they will be 3 hours behind you. I'm not sure if temperature is tied to your own time, or the server time when you log in.

Anyone notice how Dead Island and Thief are for sale on steam, surpassing ArmaII? IMO those are two of several games that may have influenced the DayZ mod. I doubt it's a coincidence that these are on sale now. Due to how popular DayZ has become.

I've also noticed since 1.5.8.1(2) FPS seems to be down.

I love all the new features, I feel like I'm trying to survive even more so now! Not sure if I like the new inventory clicking though, I had gotten very familiar and use to using the scroll wheel options. Do you think this could be made a option to pick which to use or have both as options?

No females! I am distracted enough by them in every other game I play, then I end up playing as one.

If you aren't having fun walking, exploring, hunting, searching. There are a 100 other games that allow you to join and just start shooting. This is finally a mod the rewards those players who like to wander and have patients.

The benefits of the WINchester vs other weapons is that ammo is readily avaible. That's how it should be. I'll let all the noobs rush the NW airfield for their Assault Rifles with 2 clips of ammo that can almost be found no where. The other two rifles that are common are not useless. Rifles = good player killers. Shotgun = good zombie killing.

Loot is over rated, this isn't WoW. You just need a Winchester, Hunting Knife, and Matches. Mostly its who ever spots the other first. A assault rifle isn't going to do you much good when you can't get ammo regularly for it anywhere. Those with the best loot usually seem to live the shortest lives.

I love making bandits being more scared of survivors then we are of them.

I know and thats kinda sad, human race probably wouldnt last long with those kinda of people, there are cowards but there are real men too and in the end cowards always loose, not just life but their dignity too. Things like honor don't exist in a apocalyptic setting. It's kill or be killed. you chosse honor? Let's see how long that would last you. Also, everyone is going to recognize your honor and bravery when discovering that you're a bandit and have a fucking spasm trying to shoot ya. I'm a bandit because i choose to survive, no matter the costs. Keep your opinions and you're endless death count to you, and you only. Your are absolutely correct! Choosing honor is dumb. Only the most elite and hardcore players will go the difficult path of playing this game honorably. There is no reward for it. The best bandits I've come across don't need to kill you to get what they want. They'll threaten you and hold you up, demanding you don't turn and look at them (or try to locate them) and that you drop your weapons. If you don't listen to what they say then you deserve to get shot. If you are lucky you will survive to run off into the forest to find another pistol and some beans for yourself or be mauled by zombies. At least you still had a chance. I know that's much more difficult then shooting someone in the back for a makarov and some beans.
