The most valuable thing in the game…

It is just about the only damn thing that will break the hospital windows.

    Is losing everything... Enough?

I think the best and most simple solution to death being more weighty is items that randomly spawn (not able to be tracked down by a loot map) and the spawn rate of more powerful objects going down. I think that players SHOULD get some type of weapon to defend themselves in the start, even if I pick up a big stick that takes 10 hits to kill a zombie/zed/player. I don't play with a group, and though death doesn't sting as bad as it use it, it's still a slightly painful experience, and it does get the heart racing. The game is fun, and I don't think it should be bogged down by insane amounts of grinding. This is alpha, and a mod so everything is limited, but I think when the game comes out players should have ways to survive that are creative and go outside shooting or stabbing. (Improvised traps?)

I doubt you'd need to implement something like this even if it wasn't a totally insane idea. If someone worked extremely hard to become what they were and dies, some may bounce back more determined, others will get pissed and rage quit.

    How to use blood bags?

I love this part of the game, where it's a terrible world out there, you can't trust anyone, but if you're only a few drops of blood away from dying you HAVE to have a friend. Ingenious  .

nub questions if you do not mind

Dayz is a bit of a complex game, and it really is so with other players. It becomes rather simple when you shoot first and ask later, which, asking later won't really help with the situation you've now created, since whether they were hostile to start with no longer holds any weight on whether they will attempt to kill you or not. I've been in plenty of situations where I've been killed trying to say hi, and plenty where I've made a friend and some good loot when we both realized we weren't going to kill each other. I've also seen someone shoot, the other person yelling their friendly and then all firing stopped. Also, just cause someone says they're friendly doesn't mean they won't use you to get what they want and then kill you. Lately I've shot to kill on sight because I haven't found a person who I can say two words before I get killed. How you play is up to you, each reaps it's own rewards and consequences.

    Warning: Boundries

I wish I would have had a map, if I had realized you could go off map I'd never of gone west and just stuck to in the box, unfortunately though, my bike plus someone else's white truck are probably lost forever. Is there a bigger map for arma 2? I tried to look to see if I could get some terrain association but it seems the arma 2 map is exactly the same size. I hope Rocket cuts the map, I typically don't like artificial boundries but that's just crazy. I wonder how many vehicles are sitting out of bounds lost and broken cause of stupid mistakes like mine.

    Warning: Boundries

So I've been playing for a bit and found a couple vehicles, I thought to myself that I would hide these vehicles on the edge of the west map. Unless you have a map this is probably a mistake. I've been trained in land navigation and knew that just using a generic internet map I could find my way back and I could get a good rough grid for where I set up. Unfortunately, once I found a 'good spot' I realized I wasn't even on the map anymore. So, unless you are really good with memory and mental maps, careful not to stray to far west. I found another vehicle stuck out there.
  9. I've got zero problems with stuff that happens that needs fixed, it's an alpha and if I log in and die of a heart attack it's not a big deal, I can always gather up new stuff and move on, it's what makes the game great. Problems in the game will get fixed, but if the game is unplayable to most because they're aggroing Zeds every time they take a step in town what is going to be learned beyond it needs balance. I don't hate that Zeds aggro from a distance, I don't like the inconsistency of when a zed sees me, sometimes I can be prone right next to their feet with visibility of 3 and sometimes I can be across the road with the same visibility but that time for some reason it saw me. Just given some type of weapon on respawn could alleviate a lot of problems for survival.
  10. Sorry, I'll clarify, running through closed gates/doors, through walls of buildings. - Unrealistic Not being able to move even quieter than the game allows - unrealistic Not being able to drink without a canteen from a water source - unrealistic Can't pick up the axe left in the block of wood - unrealistic Sure we all want realistic, but it's also a game and there will always be limits on realistic. Would most people who randomly ended up in a zombie apocalypse know how to shoot a gun? Would the gun they pick up be automatically zeroed to their needs? Would a gun never ever jam? If a gun did jam how many people know how to correct that jam? See my point?
  11. Is it possible to just revert back to the previous? I think the aggro for the zombies before was fine, sure some tweaking for sounds, but if Zombies can run through doors/gates/fences/buildings there isn't really any point to making them stronger at this point. Besides that, I think the main and biggest threat in the game should be the players, the zombies aren't super hard to kill assuming you can make it into town without being chased down or killed by another player in order to get anything to kill something in the first place. A balance at least needs to be made, the survival rate is already an average of 38 minutes pre-patch, that's not a long life span, I bet that average is going to be dropping rapidly.
  12. There should be a prompt that tells you who killed who, at least let you know who killed you.
  13. I have had aggro for zombies from huge distances now, one time I just took a step over the fence, there were no zombies around but one (a hopper) then I look to the corner of my screen and there is one running at me full sprint. This zombie was not even in my field of vision before it started to sprint. I've had others aggroed at distances that normally they'd be oblivious to me, I was crouched walking slowly like I've always done before. Anyone else have these issues? I've seen that people said the range is increased, but I can't see how anyone can even get into town with these ranges if this was not circumstantial. If anything increase the aggro of firing guns instead of increasing range. The game is fun, but it was very stressful to learn all the keys when the aggro wasn't high, I can't imagine a new player wanting to stick it out. So I decided I would try crawling to see if this made a difference, it did... to an extent. I was able to crawl past some zombies (I use the word 'past' loosely) and finally was able to get into a town, I crawled halfway through (visual was at 3) and a zombie across a fence line saw/heard me and ran, and was at least 2 feet from the fence.

DayZ 1.7.2 Stuck on Loading Screen..

I guess it could be server side, but my game ran fine until I closed it out, then I went to go back in and updated then I got all these problems. The time between closing out and retrying wasn't long at all.
