Followed those instructions. I keep getting Connection Failed when I try joining a server (any server)

I know this is a stupid question, but how do I loot things? I killed a zombie and opened up it's inventory screen. When I click on an item and click take, nothing happens (the take button is kinda grayed out)

Combined Operations lol. And I've tried a lot of servers. Mainly ones that had the fewest players and the best ping.

Whenever I try joining a server in CO, it says "Joining Game . . ." followed by "Connection Failed". What's wrong?
