I don't know a single person that stores there pistols without the magazines in them...Nuff said. Fix this please... I'll find a M4 with a dual mag in half the time it takes to find the Pistol, Magazine, Rounds...

Been here since the mod. This patch ranks in top 5 worst patches ever in Dayz history. Sure they gave us some new shitty guns and some more clothes but now zombies spawn like an Arcade. Nothing like watching them spawn around you in the open. Add in that they can walk through walls and any building that's raised turning them into Whack-A-Zed but, then your bullets hit these invisible walls...lulz... Oh and don't forget we straight up have spawning invisible zeds.. Reminds me of the leg break patch, the one hit zombie death patch and others....They have never been good with patches and probably never will be. In the past they always fixed within 24hrs...I highly doubt we will get the same treatment now that they have our cash. NM, I promise it wont be changed in the next 24hrs. Last tid-bit. Melee is worse than it has ever been... Is any of this stopping me from playing...HELL NO!!! -
As a man who owns an axe. lol... People need to start sending youtube vids to the Dev's cause allot of real world knowledge they lack in design. Starting with guns, melee, etc, etc... This new animation is top of the line worse than the original. Which was just as bad..So all the time and money to reinvent the wheel that wasn't a wheel per say but more of a broken and beaten in hub cap has been wasted. The Axe doesn't even hit what your aiming at and to top it off No One swings an axe side hand..WTF this isn't tennis....Well I do have a friend that's a city boy and he tried after me yelling at him not too. Yeah, axed his left ankle... Of course in a SHTF sitch your gonna swing that thing anyway you can. But in game. Nope your gonna always swing from right to left and 90% of the time and hit that door jam or wall next to you first cause again it's a wild over the top awkward sideways swing... Last but not least can't sprint with an axe in my hands and swing at the same time. Hmmm...lulz. <--Insert nearly every Zed movie - rolling over in grave.

I'd rather have the old set up to where when we clear an area they gone. Only due to these reasons. Once they fix it go ahead and make them respawn. They have Experimental for a reason. If I wanted to try the new broken stuff or awesome new stuff I go to Experimental servers. When I want a semi-balanced game experience I go to Stable hence, the name....Oh and AlPhA,aLpHa,ALPHA,alpha. Yeah, I know thanks.. REASONS: Zombies run through walls like ghosts. Shit gets lame, boring, immersion breaking all in about 5mins... -

You wanna find hackers..Play on Bolota Book Exchange...I'm still being called out by name from a distance while hiding under pine tree's. Speed hacks and all on that server. They should have Private servers plain and simple. Let them play there dumbed down game while we play the game as it was meant too on our Public servers... Loot in Dayz is like a currency. If some A-hole starts making fake money it throws the whole system outta wack.. AKA...50.Cals & Thermal SA-80's becoming the new M4..Reefer to Mod.. -

Easy: Find a Berry Bush...They are everywhere. Even literally on the coast. As far as I can tell the bush doesn't run out ATM either. You can sprint from the beach straight to the NWA without dieing of thirst or hunger. You will be technically dieing but you will make it. Done it a couple times.. No need to stop at wells or anything. So if you were legitimately looking for food and water your guaranteed up North-West somewhere. The only place I find not looted is the very far East side of the map. Start above Bolota and headed straight North. All those towns are normally skipped cause people run the Military Highway (My term) from Bolota to the NWA. There are two Military camps along the route not including the 2 airfields. Everything East of that on the edge of the map is good to go. Keep in mind you can also run from Berinzeno to Bolota without food or water. So it's a viable option. Just don't get shot or eaten by Zeds along the route. You got a couple options. #1 Find a Berry Bush eat till stuffed. Run along the coastline till you hit some swamps. Drink water till stuffed... 2# Dead sprint to Bolota. Loot the town for the one can of beans and soda. If there's no food at the first town in Bolota hit the small village above the airfield. Then dead sprint to the next town far North. Then when your "Healthy" you can jump on Military Highway from one of the many On-Ramps near each town and proceed to gear out. #3 Just ask some noob or hero alone the coast line. #4 Run to Elektro and wait for gun shots. Once you hear them zero on the location and begin Fight Night Total K/O! I wont even begin to look for gear until I'm "Healthy" status. I'll check all the SKS/Mosin spawns and check for crafted back pack mats. All while dead sprinting. Nothing is worth a double check when your dieing so keep an eye out and don't back track.. -

For the none informed: You can literally dupe your character. So when you log back onto the server a 2nd time your character has a clone that's standing there being controlled by the AI. It moves around in place. Like arm sway etc. Any-who you can then kill him and loot all your gear off him and or pass to your homie. Last patch all you had to do basically was log in twice quickly. When it said "Ready" you exited. Then rejoined to find your clone. I'd try Youtube if you want to know how they do it...I've done it on accident once before and have seen it done twice this patch. Ive at least seen the standing clones. No ones come up to offer a full clone like before so it must not be common. I've had a guy ask if I wanted a dupped gun. Ended up shooting him right after he asked outta spite so not sure how that's done. The new cloning may just be an hack. Ive seen the speed scripts and ESP already. Been so long since the last patch it's a possibility.

Yep, gonna kill my years worth of Lore when we have a different game on the same map. It's like re-branding. Changing the name doesn't change the product. A Coke Classic is literally still a Coke. To each his own and in the end it doesn't make the game. It will be interesting to see if they can pull it off or whether they even care to make a completely different background story considering the ground work is already laid. -

I see you point. If it's already fictional whether or not it's based on a factual location doesn't really matter. So why not go ahead and make a good back ground story. Nothing wrong with that IMO. I will say as said in my last comment is that the Arma-Verse will add allot deeper back ground. Unless they of course hire a back ground Dev team. The ones from Arma have done a every good job so far. Maybe time for the team to jump ships for a month or two.. The sad thing is you can't find the whole Arma-Verse story without it being paraphrased down to a paragraph of information. Allot of it is caught during the games single player Campaign. Maybe I'm just one of those guys who have been playing Arma so long that if the story changes from what we have gotten used too over the literal years would essentially make it unbelievable and or Lore breaking. <---Almost sounds backwards I know It's a different game. I mean I used to fly Jets over Cherno while in service for NATO just a few years ago. <---Hope you catch my drift with that one. -

Lulz...Yeah lets not rely on the given history and make our own... Sound familiar... Sorry the game was built on a mod. A mod which was built off a game. A game which the setting is flash point. A flash point which ends without answers. If you want to find them they lie between A2 and DayZ... That and literally the map was copy and pasted over. How could you not include A2 history? "Brain hurtz" Yes, we need an after the fact story. One that add's to the prior story. Not one that diminishes whats already on the table. But your gonna have to get used to the fact that this is a Arma-Verse. Which IMO will give a much deeper history to the story. If you ever played the games they include a fairly rich background. All of which you have to play to learn. BIS doesn't have a "history" page on the site and if it does it a paragraph summary.. To answer your question: This is a big one, as it seems to be a fictional country with fictional circumstances applied to it, with real-world (not purely "realistic" or "authentic") circumstances arbitrarily placed upon it to dictate what can and cannot be included. They stated years ago that Cherno is based off a real world location. They did not use real names or straight up satellite ground images for the same reasons that the Greek Island sued and held hostage the BIS developers. So in fact it is as real world of a location as they could get without setting off a diplomatic fire storm. Most game developers follow these rules for the same reasons said. Nutten like pissing off your Allies or that big Bear to the North... Edit: If you have a rebuttal reefer to my first line cause I'm going to copy and paste it over as a reply. What I think happened: Private Military Company, ION, Inc. (formerly Black Element) ended up taking a contract for Chernarus Bio Labs. Well we have seen enough Zed movies to guess what happened next... -

It works. Me and 2 other buddy's charged 5 guys. We were all beach spawns and they looked to be decked out dupers (All same gear). In the end me and one friend died but we took down one each. While my 3rd buddy took out the there last three for the win. We ran back and profited... All KO's/Kills were with fists. They all had pristine Kevlar Helmets. It was in Elektro on Sniper Hill...Of course. Best part about beating someone into a KO. There gear is still legit! -

Ive pissed a few off. But it was more of ranting than bitching on there part. I do say all kinds of crap after I die to see if I can get them to laugh or shot my corpse again. Like, "Nice COD Kill" etc... I don't use any military gear anymore and carry the tiny home made sling bag. That way when I die I know they didn't get anything worth while and I didn't lose anything either. -

Fucking hated it. Played a hero who hunted bandits for the first few months and took a month break. Came back to find I was -2,000,000 Humanity... To this day if I log on I will be a bandit..Unless they removed it. After the humanity revamps I was able to drop it almost in half. But the system was so terrible you would become a bandit for saving someones life. In the end it was a large player in why I quit the mod. No one should be punished for shooting first if the guy you just "murdered" basically carried out a Holocaust in Elektro. I should become an instant hero... -
Considering I have at least 8-10 scopes laying around my home they should be allot less rare lol. I mean Cherno is rural like my neck of the wood. This kind of stuff nearly grows on the tree's outside... I play on the 40/40 and haven't found one since 2 patches ago. Hoppers and the guys who take multiples fuck everyone else. Which is fine by me cause now I just hide every Mosin I find. I run from Berinzo to Bolota and hit all the Mosin spawns to make sure I don't leave anything behind. If I can't have my half you can't have yours.. Pointless though with all the duping. But with the next patch I'll be back in business.

Last week we hand cuffed and stripped a guy clean after we caught him. He didn't have VOIP so we couldn't hear his intentions like a evil laugh or such. After feeding him some rotten fruit the group thought it would be best just to put him down at that point. After waving goodbye the deed was done. My group ended up with a slight loss of morale. It was the first and only time we merc'd a beach noob in cold blood in SA. But we are sticking to our guns that if you don't have a mic your dead. So do you just kill them or treat them like everyone else?

Lulz....under an hour..Cherno to Bolota. When I'm alone it takes me under 45mins..Everything is on the beach. From M4's to Press Vests. If it takes you more than 2 hours you are doing it wrong or don't really know what your doing. That or your IMO taking to long to move from one position to the next.. Rule #1 in a Zed Apocalypse: Cardio....

No, unless you were dragging it through the mud.. He means making sure you clean it after firing. Which depending on the rifle can be negligible. Insert-AK... Yea, I'm down with it too. Then again they do have gun cleaning kits in game already. Just need to wait for them too work. Ive got money that clown in the video shot a home made slug or even better which I doubt since it was a breach he, left the choke in.... Side note: It would be awesome to have a chance at a catastrophic failures or basic weapon failures based on many factors. Dirt in the barrel, Ripping a case neck, double feeds, etc... Had a case neck rip once while using a Semi-Auto and the next round fed without a felt difference. Well, it feed deep enough into the chamber and when I pulled the trigger all hell broke lose. The back half of the case 1/4* was still sticking out before I pulled the trigger. Since the rear half of the cartridge wasn't seated in the barrel all the way the expanding gasses caused that back half of the case to blow up in the chamber. My 20rd Pmag blew up into peaces. Bullets and plastic everywhere! I walked away OK since I was using a sitting position with my legs spread so all the blast went down and between my legs. Only thing that was left of my Pmag was the floor plate and spring.. The rifle was still in Pristine Condition!!!! Couple thousand more rounds later and it still runs like a clock.....(Robinson XCR) Having something like that go down in a fire fight in Elektro would be nutz..

So true...At only 600yard my 556's round can be off target by feet depending on the wind. It's almost laughable how much they can buck when it's gusting. Add to that the scope in game is a 10x. Of course more than adequate for experienced shooters but not so much for everyone else. Most guys at the 1000yard lane use 20+x scopes...
