Nothing hard core about jacking up your gamma and brightness to literally have night vision. I've sniped people from 800m in pitch black. One has to turn up the brightness and gamma to even the playing field. And it ruins the game no matter how you try to quantify it. Now if we took your argument and placed it on the ones who always boost there gamma and brightness I'd say you have a solid argument.

Ha! Good story! Now watch out for my backpack traps in the streets. Place a backpack with a single peace of paper with a final message written on it. My favorite. "Light's Out". The gun pile trap normally scares off most people as soon as they see it in the road, lulz.. My favorite bandit trap. Mosin/LRS empty, Gas/Payday Mask. I place them side by side. Anyone dumb enough to pick that set-up is labeled a bandit in my books. It's like the bait cars cops use to catch car thieves. Hey on HC you have to get creative... Edit: Make sure to place the items far enough away from each other so they cannot pick all the items up at once. My most successful bait trap was a Orange Bonnie Hat and 5 open cans of beans with 5 cans of soda placed on the main road. They would go to each item and stop to pick it up. So with 11 items on the ground you have multiple chances to bag em. Enjoy and think of me later when you get some fresh blood off this tactic.

I feel you. But you kinda have to get his point though. You literally have two very different styles of game play when it comes to a Regular player and a HardCore. It may not be skilled based but it certainly is a whole other arena. My example above defines that. Due to what I have listed above I have never had a regular stand off last more than a few minutes. Being able to see around corners and walls makes for a must faster game play style. People in general just straight bum rush on regular. Kinda remind me of Varsity vs JV sports. Varsity being the Regular mode. Just way faster game play. And hes right. "No such thing as being pinned down" on a 3PP:On server..

A matter of seconds. If I can't find hard cover than I'm beating feet. If I can find hard cover then I'll dive for that and go from there. Overall I've got all night. If they catch me in a building I'll just wait them out too. Hours if need be. Normally if you sit inside long enough and you don't come out some random dude will hear the commotion and come barreling over to get shot and I'll use that for an escape out the back door. I play HC so when under fire you can at times just literally lay down and disappear. When that happens I normally ditch my backpack and crawl to a spot to watch it. At witch point I have all night. In the past though my group has done the multi-hour stand offs in buildings. I'd guess the longest was at least 4-6 hours? Granted that's back in the Mod days. I don't think any servers stay up longer than 4 hours atm. For example back when body's wouldn't disappear after killing someone we would wait upwards of an hour just to make sure it wasn't being camped. If I played on a regular (haven't in year/s? how old is this game now?) server I'd probably just skip waiting and stand-up lean into the wall turn my camera 60deg's and angle the muzzle of my rifle out the wall and shoot the guy like everyone else does. And if that didn't work you could have gone the route of laying down at the top floor of the prison horizontally to the window above the stairs which puts your character under the ground but not your camera angle. From there you can shoot them as they walk up the stairs. You can literally point blank them in the face and they would have no idea where to look. You can find many spots like this in other building too. Just need 3PP:On to enjoy them. Btw: None of this is wrong either. Exploit or not if others are going to do it then your at a massive disadvantage based on a skewed moral code and no Dev oversight on the matter. It's part of the game and probably always will be. Same with Gamma and Brightness options in your settings. All they do is make it so you have NVG's in black and white. If your dumb enough not to jack up the settings and get shot at night that's your fault. You have to equal the playing field to make a game enjoyable on all levels. fyi: Regular servers just need some wall love from the Dev's. I don't mind them just don't enjoy them.

I haven't shot a player with my MP5K yet but I do exclusively carry the 9mm CZ75. That thing is a one shot to the dome and your dead or critically unconscious. I also only aim for peoples head's so not really sure how well the round could handle someone with a chest rig full of stuff like ammo box and Kevlar helmet. I'd assume you'd best off running... As for mags/guns they don't spawn in the back seats anymore. Nothing does. Just the roof and hood of the vehicle but sometimes they are stuck half way through and you just can see them. The trunk has the ammo and other crap. For both mag and gun look in Police Dept. Took me 10 police stations to finally find the MP5K and I've searched at least 30 cop cars for mags still no luck yet. But I've already found a MP5K before along with 3 mags so all it comes down to is luck and beating the hoppers to the scene.

Me and my buddy's in the past have spent hours just watching the airfields to snipe someone but end up never sniping anyone due to just watching them. About 90% of the time we saw one guy another would show up and shoot the first guy. Allot of laughs... That and taking bets.. The most fun to watch is Berinezno. There you will find groups of people smashing into each other.

Eye strain? My flash light covers 75% of my screen when its on unless I'm point it into a field. Add to that the lantern I'm carrying is like a nuclear core in my hands. It's brighter than the sun in game lol. Maybe don't run in the pitch black...Doesn't really make sense...and you literally spawn with a flashlight... Skyrim in the caves is darker and a host of other games...

Tell that to the rock I was on. That and a KOS'r will kill you in the forest prone under a tree if hes lucky enough to spot you sooo.....

It will be legal cause they would be selling there time not the item that comes free when paying for there time/service... You want rarity? You will only find it on a private server with drop %. Being locked to a single server would solve these problems and many more that have been covered already by other commenter's. But, sadly as Rockett has stated many times before. He's all about the server hopping...

Same happened to me. I had a pristine riders jacket that was ruined in one hit. Then I found a pristine tactical vest and proceeded to be beat and grabbed all night and today, it's still in pristine condition. Yea, it's random and more of a pain in the ass than a feature. Now if I was talking multiple hits from multiple Zeds at once then I could see the carnage happening. But, with one Zed. No, that's just laughable. If one Zed can ruin the leather jacket on my body then I'm sure it should have also ripped my chest wide open like in Aliens...
