~1st~ We had a buddy who is basically terrible at Dayz. He finally made it to us after at least 2 hours of trying to find us. Sadly on the way he found a Pristine Banana and ate it. Welp, when he makes it to us he tells us that he's now sick. Turns out it must have been a Pristine Rotten Banana and he died at our feet. He rarely plays at all now. Now all I gotta say about that is, classic... ~2nd~ Me and a buddy had characters we managed to keep alive for about two weeks. Allot of storys were made. We ended up making a 10th or so trip to the NWAF. It took us about 5 hours with all the side tracking so it was late. As soon as we made it to the fence my buddy died of a heart attack. He full sprinted into a face plant. I laughed uncontrollably until his fateful words. "I'm dead bro, wtf!?" Then I cried like a child... ~3rd~ Me and a group of friends were together when a buddy alt-tabed out for a second. When he came back his M4 went full auto with no stopping it. Killed everyone but me. Never heard so many grown men scream like school girls...

Considering I have ammo from the 30's I'd beg to differ. Granted not for a AT rifle, lulz... Might help that I don't store my ammo in the lawn though.

The OP is basically right and the Dev's really have the only say in this matter. For me it is not an alternate universe. It's straight from Arma which has a long and storied history. A history that carry's over to SA. There are so many in game references that to say otherwise is just trying to hard too be different. One would think the Dev's would take what history there is and then build from there. Such as the Zed Apoch happening after the A2 series. For starters it would explain all the M4 and US gear laying around. Cause we all know in a real Apoch like in Dayz no American forces would be shipped to Russia to help. At best a thermal nuclear helping hand. Just my 2cents...

If the server restarts everything on the ground gets wiped. But, I do play only on one server so I know when it's going to restart. Luckly it's a 40/40 server too. I've been know to ditch my gear in bushes to loot Mil buildings and dead player bodys. Haven't tried hiding my gear in a bush outside of the building yet. It would be situationall but a good idea.

Lulz, i do that all the time! I have yet to be shot but I'm also guessing I have yet to be found doing it. When I do that it's cause I'm geared out and have to afk in a building. If I don't have any gear I noramlly don't remember to do it. Fear hasn't yet kicked in, lol.

I would have ran right past him... Only cause I'd assume it was a trap to get me to stay. Especialy if he didn't type back or respond in any manner. That normally means they are on a 3rd partry voice chat with someone. Noobs don't know how to surrender without first knowing how to type or talk in direct.

Twice I've had a press vest go to pristine after drinking from a well. Both times I had a bible on me. Not sure if in the vest or in my pack though...

I was sniping bandits when one came to my posistion. I'm guessing he was sniping bandits also so he might have been a hero but all he had was a full black kit and a mosin/LRS. I was watching the big hill that over looks the NEAF. He litteraly stepped on me when I fired and he let out a constant 2 round burst from what I thought was a mosin. Basicaly had a heart attack cause I thought it was a hacker. After luckly killing him all I found on him was that mosin. So I thought he was a hacker till I found the blaze in the grass near by. At one point though I screamed over direct "WTF theres two of you?" followed by "Is that a hack"....Lulz...Anyways it was the first time in a long while that I shrieked like a lil girl over direct.. As for the Longhorn. I'll rock it till I find a mosin/LRS. As for where to snipe, Berenzeno *spelling* and Novo for sure. Allot of bandits around. If I just snipe Mt. Mordor (Capital building) I can wait up to an hour or more just for 1 bandit. As for killing anyone you could move to the streets in Novo. Allot of people cross the man road. Like 1 every 5-10mins max. Those will be mostly shots on running targets though and identifing between bandit and hero is next to immposible.

Trust me. Without a doubt, if you want to live do not enter that building. Only thing you will find in there are corpses and ghosts.

Yeah, and expect to have someone like me snipe you. Next to the NEAF that is go to spot for bagging bandits. That building is normaly full of dudes with M4's, AKM's, Mosins. I've seen more fresh spawns killed in that building than any other in DayZ history.

Killed a dude at 200m one shot with the Magnum. It's bomb but not normally my go-to due too low round count. Aiming for the face makes up for the caliber size.

If I carry a semi-auto or fully automatic rifle I carry a silenced sidearm. If I carry a Mosin I carry either a sawed off shotgun or sidearm or MP5K. The only reason is so you can engage at any responsible distance with relative ease.

Avoid the damage mitigation via gear in there clothing slots and shoot them in the head. 1 shot with the Mosin and any 9mm unless they have a Kevlar helmet then it's 1-2 Mosin shots and 1-3 9MM. All I carry for a sidearm is the CZ75 or MP5K. Neither have every failed me, yet. I've been sniping for the last week and I have had only 1 guy out of at least 20-30 get shot by my Mosin and live to stand up. All of them were shot once and all were fully kitted. I assume there inventory slots were full.

True that. I play HC and I sure as hell don't sit in the ATC to snipe the NEAF. That would be suicide.

Might have ran into me or rather my cross hairs. Been camping there for about a week. If your looking for Mil loot your dangerous. Either "Hero" or "bandit". Been letting the Bambie's come and go so I can focus on bandits. If you wear any type of mask I'm sorry to say I pull the trigger. That would be one way I might kill a "Hero" or friendly player. Seen allot of weird stuff go on there in this last week. Like seriously murders via axe seem to be rampant in the ATC.

I found someones clone the other day and it scared the living shit out of me. I thought it was a player till it started doing that clone animation of looking around. So I blasted the hell spawn. Kill them and bury them. It's the right thing to do...Personally I built a fire pit on him and tried to incinerate all that unholiness.

As a guy who only uses the Mosin I can atest to this statment. It's not a damage nerf it's the fact that they have a pistol/ammobox/mags/kevlar helmet/shit/etc that absorbs the damage. Just aim for the face. I used to only carry the CZ75 9mm and killed many players with it. Was never killed. Why? I shot them in the face avoiding all the absorption other than a hat or helmet. Now I rock the MP5K as my sidearm to my Mosin. I have also survived two Mosin shots along with two shotgun blast all at once point blank and didn't even bleed. Why? Cause I stack every slot with something.. And I doubt they would ever nerf it. It's slow firing and it's a large caliber. With all the absorption in game any nerf would make it pointless. If anyone thinks otherwise it's because they never noticed items ruin from left to right in there inventory. Here's a pro tip. Keep your pistol in your pants on the left side. You will survive one shot to the legs with any rifle in game without a broken leg or bleeding. Your welcome..

now take those same shots with your gamma and brightness jacked up. Most love the night and I personally prefer to play only at night. But as stated the exploiters ruin it for me.
