I love the idea but not everyone can afford the set ups to truly be able to manage all the avionics..... I much better idea is the mechanics. But even then your asking to have two games in one so it would have to be taylored to a point where the average joe could handle it. I think he had it right with the Mod where its whole replacements parts. He could do the same thing with SA but add more. Such as doors,hoods, seats, etc...

KOSing is legit. But combat logging to get the jump on someone who out jumped you just turns you into a life/gear pussy. Add in you are missing out on the best part of Dayz to get a real ghetto COD fix. Too each his own cause it's true. Even though Dean himself has stated that combat logging etc are not meant to be part of the game so it's as close to cheating as one can get at the moment. Your fun will soon run out. I bought the cheapst one Best Buy had at the time and added the extra warrenty. Ive already replaced it 3 times. I did get about 500+ hours out of each unit. But being able to just walk in with my broke one and grab a new one of the shelf and have them swapped for free is why I haven't bought a better one. Like a adjustable throttle on the side. Has enough buttons for Dayz/A2/A3 and also has a center tiny joystick at the top. You map all your look angles to it so you can look anywhere on the fly. It's like a ghetto Track-IR and works great. If you look into other brands a adjustable throttle should be top on your list. The one I linked has two side by side that looks like one. I map my throttle to the left one and my zoom in and zoom out to the right one. Almost everyone of my buddys use a different brand or type but most use Saitek guessing for cost reasons cause most reviews are shoty. I'm planning to upgrade to this one sooner or later but its almsot over kill. It does almost always score a 4/5 -9/10 on reviews from sites though. Fantastic idea and this should be the shirt. Black with "DAYZ" in white lettering on the front. Same as the logo with the zed as the hole in the A. You get it on beach spawn. It is part of the loot table. Just Alpha users get it on spawn if they pick that shirt from the list. Rockett can thank us later...

Told you not to jump man... Guessing its pure chance. But everytime I remove anything from my hands. Then stand up. Then face the ladder. Then click on the icon I never ever die. I climbed around 200 ladders and no deaths... Only when I'm changing stances and crap out of my hands such as my rifle will my guy jump off. I did die one time due to climbing into one of the small green towers around the airfields. I raised my weapon and it caused my guys physX to go nutty and it tossed me out at a high speed killing me.. The best will be when your running with you friends then outa no where one dies. No blood loss no nutten...That shit is funny. Full sprinting in a group and the next thing you see is Jonney face diving into the dirt..

Well you have enough post to know there are no choppers yet. Based on 3k hours of Arma2 and 1k in Arma 3 I'd say joystick. Only one thing you have to keep in mind...They will use the "Take on Helicopters" engine for choppers. And in A3 and ToH they made sure you could fly around with just a keyboard and mouse. Unlike A2 were it's truly is about 50% easier to just fly with a joystick. But even then with a little time you could do it. If I was lazy and didn't need spot on high speed skillz flying I'd fly keyboard mouse. Or my favorite issue with A2 & A3 forgeting to plug my joystick and not wanting to restart the game....luls. Ive seen great talking, Great keyboard mouse flyers and have seen God awful joystickers. So in the end it's your call.

Nothing in this game you coudn't port to a console. You don't need a key board or mouse to play this game... Truy it should be a console game with how little there is. But durning release? Again I see no reason not too.. Personaly fucking hate consoles and all they stand for. Consoles just stall the growth of games IMO. For instance PC's GPU gets better every year. Consoles are locked and therefore already outdated they day they come out. So for 6 years instead of pushing the limits they adhere to said limits. Nothing like forcing yourself into a proverbial stone age..To each his own.

I'm almost 24hrs on my currect character. Hes been all over the place and has been shot at and shot a fair amount of people. Mainly been going around checking out all the new objects in the world.

Only if it's totaly realistic. I know for a fact that at times it can take 2 or more 556 rounds just to put down a coyote. It's all about shot placement. If its magical one shot gut kills then hell no....

He should do a ping test then. I bet yours is allot faster than his...

If your in the same house one PC will get more bandwidth than another. Especially if your just using a plug and play router/modem. Your bandwidth affects how fast you are in game. Dayz and a few other games make that very noticable like BF3-BF4 etc.

Luls, me and my buddys were standing straight up then bending down 90deg and doing the hands up sprinting. You look like Sonic the Hedge hog. Some great luls when you have 4 or more friends doing that racing through the tree's. It's some Endor shit. We never experianced any desync at all on a 30 man server.

Go to Riffy. NE Coast past Berenizo. Big old ship reck. Go to the Cabin rooms. Only 2 floors you can check. I found both the Press vest and a Stab vest in the same room. When I logged out and came back a couple hours later there was another Press vest. Snagged it for a friend and left never to return. Can't confirm if the Press vest does stop bullets personaly but I'd believe it does. I know the kevlar helmet stops at least one m4 round from personal experience. I got KO'd for about 30sec woke up and had a fountain coming out of the top of my head (roof sniper).

You make a point. While being shot at pissing/shitting is going to be the last thing your worried about. Your just gonna fill your load and keep on fighting. It would cause you to have to replace your pants and possibly your boots. Eating beans all day...your gonna need new boots too. As for farting it would be really only be for the moments when your being stealthy. So both in a game are really just for the luls & trolls. But in the Dayz survivor aspect I'd say you have to have it. With the crap you eat in this game so far you would have some terrible mud butt. Add in drinking from ponds etc your going to get dysentery and without medic help your dead. So since you already are going to pee and poo why not fart too. It only makes sence personaly. Meh, my group of 8 guys goes around in direct chat making fart noises so hell why not. It'd save us some breath. Nothing better than to come running behind a beach noob and leaning down and letting out a phatty in direct chat then bolting into the bushes. I have noticed it doesn't work at all on any level but has anyone noticed that when you have a silencer sometimes it straight up silences a shot? Like the man firing it could here it but my group of 6 guys don't? It happens every night. At some point someone will shoot and no one will hear it. We all have silencers and rock M4's and have been for about a week. Wondering if thats part of the "not implemented fully" part. Since no one rocks a Mosin and it doesn't seem to happen with pistols I was wondering if it was the silencer. If it is then its kind of uber in a PVP aspect to rock the m4 with a silencer on the chance you could have a silent shot. Like you could kill one guy and his buddy wouldn't even know what happend. So does this happen with the Mosin as well? It could just be the sounds not working in general though being Alpha and all...

Nice! You live on those fights for weeks rofl. Nothing better than two legit groups crossing for a final show down. Had one last week with my group. We ambushed a large group crossing the bridge next to the coastal factory. Full on shit fest fire fight. We had our no gear guy go up and try to link groups but they heard our cross coms from his direct chat and they told him to kick dirt. One dude from there group did log but so did one from ours, lol. After I started screaming "WTF you left me to die" (I dont log) I charged in and found there one Logger who just joined again (guesing one of his buddys said the same to him). After some clean up it looked like a group of 6 and we had 6 also. What I remember most was us trying to kill the one runner of the group. As soon as we moved in after the ambush we see this guy burning foot tread to the tree line 400m off. My group shot like 100 rounds at the guy and he made it to saftey never to be seen again. The one who will tell his buddys familys they arn't coming home. Just like yours everyone but one dude died lol. And thanks to only E-coast spawns everyone from both groups kept coming back every 5mins. It was a turkey shoot till the end.
