Yep, the statue outside the SW Airfield. Me and 3 buddys tried all the radio channels and had no luck. I tried to turn it on by punching/axeing/etc. No dice. But I have a gut feeling that thing is part of the story cause its not far from green mountain. Someone needs to check at night. Ive personaly heard a Elektro messege but it was clearly a Russian Player or someone trying to be lol. It came out in parts over about 15mins and stopped. It would cut off in the middle of his sentence. Since then me and my buddys all tune into a different channels now in case we ever hear anything. Personaly I think it's all fake and player made but to the topic of why would they add radio's so soon? Just like last night we needed a way to communicate with other player that don't have VOIP or for when your out of direct talk range. Me and my buddys all sit on Mumble VOIP and it's ruff for the beach noobs to keep up when we can't hear them past 30 feet. So for the first time we had a random guy be able to keep up and not get lost for over 3 hours. All thanks to the radio's. So glad they added them for this very reason. Ive been bitching about needing a walkie talkie for the new guys. Also one of you may hear us one day. Every 15-30mins we go through the channels and broadcast a EPD messages asking for any survivors and if they need help. That or one of us farting in it...luls.

Hmm...Everyone I know that has been shot or has come close to death always say the same things. Things become more vivid ie. your brains GPU hits 300%..Seems like they got it backwards. Add into the fact nothing other than extreme sickness/disease/blood loss will cause you to lose eye sight. Were talking death bed. It's total crap when you can hit a damn thing. Just this last weekend I was out with my 556 rifle banging steal out at 600 yards and I have no formal or military training... But I know for a fact you can even live a .50cal round to the body. Happend many times in WWII during dog fights. Sometimes the rounds were even bigger. Just look it up. Guys getting hit by 20mm rounds and making it back to the airfield alive in the bombers. But for games sake and the fact theres no trauma centers around any gun shot to the face other than too a kevlar helemt should kill you. As for body shots since there is no organ system should be 1-5. Ive shot coyotes with a .308 and watched them run off into the sunset. To compair that to a human that would be like getting hit with artilery...

Vault over and over.... Run at the wall and push V over and over. You will pop out most likley in the 2 or 3rd try... Ive been stuck under houses. In rocks. In a rusted car. In a tree top on a steep hill. etc, etc, etc. Vault is the only thing that will save you. Granted sometimes just laying down and rolling in the direction you want out does work. But at the risk of being killed on the roll so save that for last.

Yeah its along the coast. You will find it on the road outside of the big island on the coast. Thanks to being close to shore and being fully exposed to the elements I'd say less than a years worth of rot. I live on the coast in RL and have found dead deer around the area and it takes less than a year to go from meat to bones.. If I took a guess based on the land scape I'd say 1-5 years. The mass graves are from Arma and are a copy/paste over so you really can't judge based on that.

How about instead of doing a cheap trick they make it so you personaly can't loot your body? Read my above comment for reasons why... There are a shit ton of ways to get around this starting with your buddy putting all your loot on the ground next to your body before it vanishes.... Only way to do it would be to make the loot linked too you some how. That way you can't take it from a body or ground, buddy, dead buddys corpse. But even then not being able to take it off someone after they died would be crap too. What if you two were alive for weeks? Should you not have the chance to loot it off his corpse by that point? I don't think this has anything to do with getting your body back. Rather more with server load. I figure and hope it will be changed back...

Honestly not at all...Just my 2cents... I can tell you why they did it without the BS. To help with the server load. "Of course I have to guess....." Lets just hope in the end they bring it back to normal when things are smooth.

It's a fucking terrible idea.... We already got to see this crap in action 2 weeks ago with body's vanishing in 10mins. All it did was make it so if you kill someone you ONLY HAVE 10MINS to loot it. Which is utter bullshit. What if like what happend to us when there are more than one player... You just killed one guy in a group of 3 now you have to blow tactics and etc out the window to bum rush a body. My group has waited over an hour to loot a body during a 6+v6+ fire fight. No one truly takes the time to think what this shit does to the hard core players. To many people just go "Ah, yeah fixs people running back to bodys after I killed them". Well you can bury bodys. As for being able to go back to your old body? Who gives a shit you are a NEW SPAWN and have to deal with getting that body back basicaly naked... Dont fix whats not broken in the first place. At least give us an hour for Christ sake, please! What does it even matter when the best loot can be found near the shore!?!?!?!?!?!? It also makes it so you can't camp a body too. Like when you shot 1 out of 2. Classic tactic to just wait for there buddy to try and loot his freshly dead buddy. Hell this fucks up allot of very basic tactics of DayZ.. Mine are maxed to the max. The OP is right its about 250-300 and the character skin is replaced by this pixel outlined blob thing...It's even worse with PP on. I'm on a 23" monitor and run 1920x1080
