Jesus you need a new M4 type rifle if a crappy ass SKS is better...A $600 Delton AR shoots under MOA and anyone that has personaly shot the SKS more than once would know its MOM aka Minute of Man cause it a broad side barn hitter...Add into that crappy Surp ammo for any 7.62x39 and you really have a shitty ass SKS. I could go on and on. You all need to thank rocket for only adding the top feeder too. Cause if it was the magazine based SKS mag swaps are not quick by any means. Also anyone haveing problems with a M4 type rifle in RL need to run it wet. This was made clear way, way, way back before any of us were born. NAM! Add in that there are a shit ton of cars to find quality lube. M4 type all day er-day... That is untill the AK comes around. But even then I'd take an M4 type cause it will hit what im aiming at.. Personaly own a 556/6.8/7.62x39/7.62x51 and more... I know what the fuck I'm talking about. I even shoot shot over 600m with my M4 type rifle known as a Robinson XCR and it's a piston rifle. Which is known for not being as accurate as direct impingement aka the "M4".. I want realism so since we are all beach noobs with no gun experiance as far as we know they just need to add more weapon sway/shaking and totaly remove this magic random bullet crap. Lulz get a new stock and hand gaurd and your magicaly more accurate. It may help the shooter but no way in hell is it going to effect the rifles accuracy unless we get into the custom shit... Last note of info about this "man killer round" aka the 7.62x39/51....Ive shot Coyote with a x51 and watched them run off into the sunset...Man killer my balls. More like shot placement. Noobzors.. The bullet with the most kills in the USA is the .22 Cal. It's the #1 murder caliber. That why all this talk about bigger=better is totaly laughable. Get outside and shoot something other than paper and yall might figure it out.. Last bit of info. Ive owned a Mosin and sold it. More than one of my buddys own one and everyone of them is far from an accurate rifle. Again another broad side barn hitter. Ive only seen one video on Youtube where the Mosin was accurate and his was custom. The most accurate Mosins in the world came from the Fins. They took a bunch from the Russians and again did some custom work. This is where everyone thinks the Mosin is worth it weight in gold when in fact it was rebuilt and is truly worth it weight in lead. Just my 2cents coming from a guy that shoots thousands of rounds a year....

Lulz my FPS was perfect with my pre-patch toon. He even lived into post-patch. No problems at all and he was fully geared. Died last night with all of my buddys. We started fresh on the beach and we all now have 1-10 FPS with a peek of 15-20 every 15-30mins. Only rocking post gear crap. No one has shot or looted anyone else.. Sounds like you fixed your problem just by going into the config and not the gear. Just my 2cents along with the majority of people... Edit: Double lulz. I just did a test and adding the basic "-nosplash -skipIntro -world=empty -maxMem=2047 -maxVRAM=2047 -cpuCount=4 -exThreads=4" vs my custom one for my rig has fixed it. Me and all my boys used to rock custom Set-Launch options. Last Edit: It causes some terrible graphic issues at the main screen but once in game it's back to 50-100fps. You should edit your post in parts. So say start with the Set-Launch. Then the Configs, etc.. Thank you for the help! It seems to work again!

Lulz, everything everyone has listed I would not call rare at all. Your all looking to far off the beach. Elektro to Bolota has everything but the press/stab vest which can be found at Riffy or train stations. So truly you can find it all on the beach. If it's rare to you then someone already looted it ie. server hopper or the server has been on for more than an hour. In other words give me 45mins and I will be fully tricked out with extra.. They need to remove all military gear from the coast along with damn near every loot-able item. Just leave trash and junk. Then maybe it won't take the blink of a night to become fully kitted.

Hate these comments. Rocket himself said this game will be based on player skill not character skill. Weapon dispersion is clearly a character skill issue being that we are fresh off the beach no idea about anything noobs. That or ballistics are straight up broken. If he wants to add some type of dispersion then it needs to be something we can account for. Such as weapon sway/twitching/breathing/etc. Just let the F*ing gun sway and wobble in my hands for crying out loud is it that hard or do we really have to dumb this game down to a COD shooter which atm it is. So true. I would wear all my hunting camo in RL. Does that make me look like a bandit? No because everyone from my town owns camo being that I'm from a rural town. Sad thing is Cherno is a fairly rural land also. So everyone should own at least once peace of camo in the closet. But like you said it is the name of the game. You wear camo and no one trusts you cause why would a good guy want to hide from anyone? Lulz...

Should have played the Mod it's no different and the SA will again be no different no matter how hard they try...Log out timers and such don't bother the COD players at all as we all learned yesterday by traveling down the coast.

If someone combat logs in front of you and you begin to jerk yourself off and stand in the same spot that's your problem. All I can ask for now is the ability to see whats going on as you log and the ability to cancel your log out (not sure if you can or not atm). No game should ever have a perpetual system of adding down time to your game time. Shit is backwards...

No idea but I'm trying to figure this out myself. Me and my buddy's normally play with 3PP:Off but with the last patch we ended up going to regular due to thinking the "hard core" servers were broke. As it turns out the "hardcore" servers use a different hive. I'm guessing that the "hard core" servers where you can use your regular character is really a regular server with 3PP:Off. Now I'm just trying to understand do the hard core servers only save to that server or to the overall "hard core" hive. I just don't want to have to start fresh every time I log into a hard core server. I can't stand 3PP:On in this game. It was great for Arma which DayZ is built off but it truly takes allot away from "this" game... That and now the day/night/weather cycles work on hard core servers! All the noob's will be stuck in perpetual daytime Wahahahaaha. A scene straight out of Teletubbies. Enjoy your beach bandits cause bandits are afraid of the dark and everyone knows that. Lulz..

Lulz, and I've got at least a dozen story's where someone bagged me 30sec before logging out in the middle of butt fuck Egypt. I've got even more story's from friends and hell even this forum. You play long enough and these thing and many more that "Never happen to me" will and do happen. Hope you don't live your life on that mantra. I like the idea but the system needs some tweaking which we all know it will. Main thing is let us see and be able to stop the log out and give us a timer.

Lulz, have never seen or heard of someone being cold clocked in one shot to the face in DayZ unless wounded. But to the back and side of the head? Oh yea, drops them like rocks.. My group went to Elektro and beat a bunch of hill snipers to death... Yes, the helmets do seem to stop KO's till your basically dead. My buddy had to punch one guy 3 times in the back of the head which normally drops them for a 1-6sec KO. Instead he had to go Butterfly and sting like a Hornet!

They should have never removed the body's after death. Had a long conversation about it with my buddy's and all the story's from the early days/mod came up. Every time we found a body we would go all CSI on it. That and nothing like just finding a random dead body out in the middle of no where. Now also add in the new hand cuffs and burlap finding a naked duded with burlap and cuffed deep in the woods would be a very memorable moment. The days of playing taps over direct while burying the body and everyone saluting is long and gone. I weep whole heartedly.. I mean come on if it was about people getting back to there body's it's not like the best loot can be found on the shore.....

You can run arma 3 servers for $10 USD. They are clearly ripping people off. The game isnt half as GPU/CPU intensive as A3 and more people play Dayz so wtf.... Dayz also runs better than A3 so again wtf...

I live in Washington state and I'm forced to use LTE 4G also. Also unless your not American the USA is on the bottom of developed countries when it comes to high speed internet for the masses. We are the kings of data capping and calling it unlimited. The OP is right DayZ will burn your data out in days if not hours. I pay $90 for 10GB a month.... So now I play DayZ at my office when I can. Huge pain in the ass cause DayZ Mod and Arma 2/3 doesn't have this problem and never did in development. It better be because of "Alpha" or we are fudged.

They currently work yo.... Funny part. Your idea's are how they work in general...lulz Find one at a fire house and put your flashlight battery in it. Then right click for options such as Turn On and Change Channel. Then you use the ( , . ) to change from direct chat too the radio channel. Enjoy. Ours worked with a random noob we found for over 3 hours and over 150 meters. Oh, and now I need your Beans good Sir. Will also note if someone in your group leaves the server while on the same channel as you, you have a chance of breaking your radio. Don't worry all you need is a new battery. It may be a perfect battery but once it's replaced it will work again. Also as someone else said people can hear your radio chatter just like direct channel. So when a bandit is close make sure no one talks over the radio! And final note..If you see someone and you know where they are going such as the airfield and you know they are going to the bunkers put the radio outside next to the wall in the bush. You can then enjoy watching them sprint out guns up and screaming "don't shoot!" after fucking with them..Hours of fun. My buddy has this goal to get a bunch of radio's and plant them all over Elektro and then read story books like a PBS broadcasting station. I'm hoping to sneak one into a noobs backpack one day and leave it on after hand cuffing him. Then spend the next couple hours fucking with the guy as he trys to figure out where the hell is the dude talking in direct chat.

Luls, he was clearly on a VOIP chat directing his buddy over. But, why he couldn't press F2 while doing that is a little retarted and cost him his life. Bandit fail=random Joe win. Even with VOIP going I'm screaming "Don't Shoot" while spamming F2 and leaning left and right if im caught of guard. If I catch you I'll be screaming "Get Da Fuc on the Ground NOW!" with a slight akward tone of "Are you Friendly?"..
