  9. I like this idea. However it could prove to be a little unfair, especially with a ghillie. And it might be a little OP for Zombies if they are unable to climb the tree. But yes, I would like to see this.

  11. You do realize that many of the maps are user created? i.e. not created by the ArmA II Devs. Anyone with the knowledge of creating maps could create something like this. It isn't too difficult. So his idea is possible for the DayZ alpha. Your post is completely irrelevant.
  12. Google the launch parameters for DayZ on steam. Or just use Six Updater/DayZ Commander. It'll solve your problems.
  13. There are already Deathmatch servers which are sort of similar. Most of the action is directed towards one location. You spawn with a random kit and go around having a free-for-all.
  14. Meh. Been done before. You need something more exciting that hatches. Just MHO.

    Things (most) people like: - More vehicles. - Better starting gear/possibly even a Deathmatch server. - NOT Chernarus (You could mix it up a little with Namalsk & Panthera. - Active admins/moderators to keep hacking under control - Friendly admin support, maybe even some sort of website where people can post claims for people hacking, sending support messages etc. - Well set up server (Advertised restarts, up to date etc.) A well organised programmer and someone who is efficient with SQL can make this process much easier and much better. Honestly, the more admins the better. I had about 10 admins/moderators helping out with my server (even costs).
  18. Agreed. Silent weapons are completely useless (disregarding zombies, of course). I don't believe it should be visible. I'd say in the next update this very well may be put into effect. It would only be a simple line of code to be deleted/added (I'm not 100% sure on how the debug monitor works).

    Unless your server has something particularly special about it, I can't see much traffic heading towards your server. Honestly, how many empty servers do you see out there? And look at the difference between a high pop and low pop server, then try to add certain aspects to your server which people would like to see. As an example, I regularly play on Au Deathmatch servers. You spawn with a random kit (at least two primary firearms and a secondary, map, food, GPS, basic tools etc.) and it's basically a massive fight to the death :) Obviously this is on a private hive, however you can still an idea of what grabs peoples attention and makes them want to continue playing on your server. Hope this helps a little. Good luck!
  20. Realistically, none of the things in the Debug menu would be available of it was a real life situation. Except for knowing your own name.
