  1. Also, how long has has this problem being happening consecutively? Does it happen on EVERY server and has it been happening for more than 3 days? If it only happens on every 1 in 3 servers or something like that it's probably a hive issue. There are so many different hives out there with a bunch of servers interlinked on the same one. Make sure you're trying out different hosts, different hives etc. If the regular DayZ hive is down, you'll hear about it on the forums (obviously). So make sure you're actually joining servers not running off a private hive and see what happens.
  2. Just because there's many people complaining about it, doesn't mean it's actually the game itself. And there isn't much the DayZ team can do about it. DayZ is just a mod. If there's a connection issue such as this, it'll have something to do with the base game. i.e. ArmA 2. What's your ping on entry to the server? It could just be a simple connection issue on your part.
  3. Didn't mean to spam the thread. My cat walked across the keyboard.
  4. Holy shit, really? Maybe I need to think about letting go... Ridding myself of my horder ways.. I honestly don't know how you did a fresh reinstall and could hold yourself together. I'd probably breakdown cry. NO TEARS NOW ONLY DREAMS
  5. Whoops. That last comment isn't really relevant. I got confused between two different threads. Sorry! :(
  6. It isn't. You wanted to know what I was talking about. If re installing ArmA doesn't work, then re installing windows won't either,
  7. ArmA 2 was built to be able for the users to code and create their own maps to their preferences. Yes, they are being used because those options are available, however due to this ability to be able to code so freely, it's also possible for the OP's idea to work as well, and just as easily as some of the things that have already been implemented into DayZ have been.
  8. If you don't like the general interface/gameplay etc of ArmA, then you will probably turn away from DayZ standalone. I say this because DayZ will be based of the ArmA 3 engine, and I highly doubt that gameplay and interface will change from 2 to 3, I mean.. Why would they? You may like the idea of DayZ, however if you aren't prepared to spend the money on it because you simply don't like the general concept of the vanilla game, then you will probably turn away from DayZ standalone once you buy it. Just my opinion. I began playing DayZ because I played ArmA 2 since release, and hey, why not try a free mod? Unless you can get a hands on try of DayZ in it's current Alpha stage, I can honestly say you'll eventually turn away from DayZ standalone once it's released due to you simply not liking the general aspects of the game.

    Bullcrap.

It happens a fair bit. For some unknown reason the zombie performs a random crit and BAM! You're on the ground. True story.
  11. Three words. Virtual Reality Engine
  12. Those things are already being used as there is so much demand for them. It's called using a private hive. If someone want's to implement something like this, and they have enough support, it will eventually happen. It may not be official, but it'll probably happen. Whinging to Rocket about it won't do anything.
  13. PM me your skype/steam and when I get home I'll give you a hand. I'll be home in about 5 hours. I don't have the resources or time at the moment to help you out. But when I get home I'll do all I can.
  14. I'm interested. I'll be home in about 5 hours. Can you please provide me with some sort of contact information? Skype? :)
  15. Maybe open a support ticket or browse for some sort of guide for setting the server up.
  16. Also, this 'Yes' appears on the DayZ support page under your instances. I am assuming you opened a support ticket to acquire a Whitelisting for your server considering you are in fact hosting it off your own dedicated server?
  17. Yes it does. I can't actually see the photo because it's blocked at work -_-. But yes, from what I think you're talking about, the green 'Yes' does mean that it is whitelisted. I remember having this problem, but it was a while ago and I can't actually remember what caused it. I'm guessing from your post, your server does have the 'Yes' next to it?
  18. I agree with the above two statements. If they were nerfed any more, there would be no point in them even existing in the game. I can honestly say I have not died from a zombie in about 4 months. And that was probably from getting hit through the wall (which is now patched and has been for a while). inb4 graveyard.
  19. Make sure you are in fact WHITELISTED. I remember having this problem, too. You may have your mission ID, however you may not yet be Whitelisted. Please log onto support.dayz.com and check under your instances to ensure you are actually Whitelisted. Hope this helps.
  20. Buddy. First off, copy & pasting all that shit does nothing for us. Secondly, most of us have a hard time with framerate. And in addition to that, with such a horrible Graphics card and a God awful processor you can expect the worst performance possible.
  21. If the majority of us don't necessarily like the idea, then why would anyone ever consider making this type of gametype when NO ONE WOULD ACTUALLY PLAY IT?
