Does this happen on all servers? If so, just delete those two files. Obviously DayZ is rejecting those .pbo's.

Your post confuses me. I understand the first paragraph, but then you lost me. Are you just saying that you think people charging others to whitelist their server on their database is wrong?

Just filter your search :P Simple. You need to let your server list refresh for about a minute before most of them show. Then just filter by players and watch the ping. Plus ping isn't a huge problem until you're exceeding 250 ms.

This is stupid. Why would you advertise yourself like this? More than likely you will be contacted by a bandit (Which there are more than enough of) and they will set you up and take your stuff. Unless you want to risk wasting all that gear and starting fresh, I wouldn't be going ahead with this idea.

Are you sure it isn't a CCO?... You may or may not be getting confused. Otherwise you are fine to use they gun. BattlEye has not been changed in order to help DayZ out, so picking up a gun in the game will not get you banned -_- I figured common sense would have answered that question for you. BattlEye only attempts to detect unverified/banned scripts. All it is, is a script detection. And a terrible one at that. A 4 year old with the knowledge of C++ could work out how to bypass it :P Keep the gun. You'll eventually die and lose it anyway.

Just enforcing the fact that all you need to do is run. When you come across a building, break the line of sight and enter the building crouched and holding shift. It's simple. Zombies are the easiest part of the game by far.

This issue has not been touched as it would require too much effort for something which is seemingly useless AT THE MOMENT. Don't get me wrong, this idea is great. All these ideas are great. However there are many better things which need to be fixed before we focus on crossbows. Making a new crossbow would require them to create a new weapon to implement into the game which is completely unnecessary during the Alpha stages and while the game is still just a mod. When standalone is release, issues such as the crossbow will be attended to, however at the moment I do highly doubt anything will be done. Don't think your suggestions have gone unheared. The DayZ team is here to make sure the players get he best out of the game, and I'm sure these issues will be attended to during standalone if not released with these new features already added.

Haha, no your English is flawless :) Bolts and arrows are pretty much the same thing; just bolts are shorter and more dense. I wouldn't expect many people to know the difference anyway :P And I'm sure in standalone they'll introduce a quiver assuming they keep the Crossbow in the game.

They're crossbow bolts. Not arrows. They can be quite weighty irl :P And yeah, a quiver mechanic would be nice. However unfortunately I assume this addition is at the bottom of their to-do list and will be for quite some time :(

Well not all weapons can be balanced to the same level. Some need to be better than others for obvious reasons. Crossbows may or may not be more abundant than the .303. However they both have their ups and downs, like all guns. The downfalls of the Crossbow are the perks of the .303 and vise versa. Crossbow perks: - Silent - Reusable ammunition - One shot (To the head) .303 perks: - Ammo stacks - Abundant ammo - One shots. It really does depend on your play style. I don't think either weapon should be changed.

There would be no way of paying any less that about $25 for the key as all the cheap $4 are all keys which have already been in use due to them being stolen so the cd-key is already registered as a unique DayZ player. So yeah. Looks like a lot of money would have been made. Not sure why there's a sudden increase in buys. And yes, there was a large banning wave as a few hacks for DayZ have just been patched and with that comes many GB's. But 30k is probably pushing it a little :P

Possibly an anti-spyware/firewall etc. could be interfering with BattleEye? Maybe try with your firewall/antivirus deactivated and ensure you run as administrator. BattleEye could possibly be having trouble with connecting to it's main database and your firewall is simply blocking it and you are being disconnected from the game. Also make sure you've updated both your clientside and serverside BattleEye Dynamic Link Libraries. Not sure. Worth a try though.
