People are dicks. Simple. They get bored once they have the high end gear (or as soon as they get their hands on a sniper rifle) and just decide to snipe newbs.

Possibly, they may integrate the current version with the standalone, or just stop updating the current DayZ. They would probably do a hive wipe and just reset everything. Then they could leave the 'old' version of DayZ to be raped by the hackers and they won't have to care because the standalone version will be out.

In my experience, hackers do have very high ping. I heard somewhere (it's probably not true) that if you can get your ping high enough but not too high as to be kicked from the game, you can bypass something in Battleye and begin injecting scripts into the game. It's most likely bullshit, but it's possible.

The DayZ devs aren't going to try and fix it in this release, they are working on the standalone version so that it is more secure against hackers. Just be patient and wait for the standalone version.

I found a camp near there on GB #00 - LONDON, it has a bunch of hacked in weapons there, and loads of shit. You can check it out, just don't get banned for using a hacked in weapon.

Did you actually read the whole thing? He's not reporting that the bus didn't drive straight, he's reporting that for no reason at all he and a friend died inside the bus without the bus taking any damage. Read before you start having a go at him please.

Mitch tried to join my clan, when i saw that he had done loads of this across a variety of servers, i denied him the opportunity.

I've been playing DayZ since it was released, i have like 12 very rare and extremely rare items. I have a jeep. I have an L85A2 AWS, M24, ghillie suit, all the tools, 2 spare ghillie suits, food, drink, M9 SD, NVGs, Rangefinder. The jeep is also full of gear, including satchel charges and grenades. Send me a message or reply to this if you would like to team up. Oh and i also have a few mates that play regularly as well, they are also pretty well geared. I am also in the GMT timezone (i live in London) *UPDATE* My jeep full of cool stuff got nicked whilst i was offline, luckily i was smart enough to take all the valuables out before i logged out :) there's still enough free loot going!

Sniping with an Enfield is easy, i actually find it harder to shoot with a scoped weapon, mainly due to the reduced FOV when you zoom in

Only last night was i wandering around balota airfield when i came across a bus full of gear, it had 12 ghillie suits in it, 6 AS50s and an M14 AIM. If you had been there you could have had some gear, but i did manage to grab a couple of extra ghillie suits. So if we meet up before i get owned, you can have one :)
