DayZ using old beta, even though I have updated

Go to location: \Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\ and copy OA.exe to the location \Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ Edit. Wuggie, copying ALL files is not recommended, since it can mess up with the normal Arma2 installation. Copying the .exe is enough, if you run through steam and use the correct launch parameters. -

No you can use both at the same time, but I highly recommend Commander. 6launcher is a lot more buggy and doesn't supprot the latest dayz patch yet (it will automatically revert to the older version if you use it after installing the latest version). -
http://www.dayzcommander.com/ Try that one. You see the latest versions in the versions -tab and can update there if needed. The picture means, that you havent updated the required beta version for Operation Arrowhead.

Try getting the new Commander version from the site http://www.dayzcommander.com/ There is no date for 1.7.2.5 introduced in 6launcher yet.

6launcher currently only provides 1.7.2.4, not sure why your Commander reverts though (unless you use the new revert option in the versions tab). -
Is it possible, or even probably for a whole village to be stripped clean of EVERYTHING!

How to actually install an arma 2 patch?

It's not enough just to INSTALL the beta patches, you also have to RUN them. Steam runs OA from the folder ...\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ but the beta exe is in ...\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta You need to go to the location ...\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta and copy OA.exe and paste it to the location ...\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ This has to be done EVERY time after you manually update the beta. Suppose you are using Commander to launch the game with steam overlay. YOu didn't have the option "replace Arma2OA files..." enabled when you patched, so you have a wrong .exe in OA folder. You need to manually go to the folder OA/expansions/beta, and copy the OA.exe to OA folder. OR, if you don't mind doing that, just unselect steam overlay and you will be able to play. -
On that server select screen, Press "Cancel" and take a picture of the menu screen, and post it here so we see what version you are running. Also. How do you open DayZ? Using a shortcut or directly from steam?

No, the above poster gave you the correct link. Since you are already on 1.62 version, you will only need a new beta patch.

If you updated to the latest versions (Arma2OA 95883 and DayZ 1.7.2.5) and did the other things I mentioned, make sure you try to join to a server that has these same versions running. You can't join to a server that still has 1.7.2.4.

Let me explain: 1st. you are using a BETA version of a game (Arma2OA) 2nd. you are using an ALPHA version of a mod 3rd. if you have 1.7.2.5, you are using a pre-release version of an ALPHA mod, that is not guaranteed to be stable. It's not really suprsising, that a beta-alpha-prerelease -version of a game(mod) has problems.

http://www.dayzcommander.com/ Use this program. If you use steam 1st: go to the options and select: "Use steam overlay" and "Replace ArmA2OA files...", if you don't use Steam, then skip that. Then go to the versions tab, and update everything there. To enter servers, just double-click one in the server list.

No, almost every time client patch number is not the same as server patch number. Client 95883 = Server 95885. -

http://www.dayzcommander.com/ If you are using steam version, and want to run the game with steam overlay, go to the options and select: -Launch using steam -Replace original Arma2OA files... Go to the versions tab, and update everything there. The select a server on the serverlist, doubleclick it and start surviving.

Indeed, I saw this message too. Said NOTHING about any problem with BattlEye. Just that they are dealing with the cheaters and players should have patience. :)
