Amazing, I was hoping rocket did something like this and it would be awesome if he did. -
I think there would be too much abuse of this, especially among the less trustworthy parts of the community. (i.e, people hosting their own servers who don't understand why they cant lock the servers / password etc.) For the small amount of gain I beleive it is not worth the possibility of abuse.

They zig zag because of the screwed up AI which works counter intuitively for 'infected', rocket has said along the lines of , "they need to run so fast so that when they run the wrong way they can actually catch up".

Howarden, how is the situation at the safe haven in US357 will help setup if you are still going.

Anyone want to create one of these safety forts on an american server? edit: Read previous posts about US357, will help but i dont have any things to contribute to the building of it.

If every server had its own uniquely generated map it would help people find a server and also build a community, but of course this type of thing is a long time away.

Just so you know, the BeamNG project is completely separate from Cryengine 3 and is not currently included.

Rocket has mentioned that he has started or wants to develop generators in the near future to add in to the end game for things such as underground bases. (http://dayzmod.com/f..._360#entry70115) I wanted to make this thread and start a discussion about generators and a collaboration of ideas/uses for the generators. If the thread picks up I will list all reasonable ideas in the main post. The way I see generators is that there are two ways they could exist: A small portable generator which the player could say more in a vehicle, or a bigger generator with a static location. Possible uses for both types of generators: Powering a single house or block. Powering spotlights Charging battery dependent equipment (by Thestarling ). Possible uses for a portable generator: Jump starting vehicles that have required to be fixed if the battery is dead. Powering player made bases. (Rocket has discussed this as well) Powering elevators in building if power is not already on (by Quisari ). Possible uses for a static locational generator: Powering large areas of a city or town. Powering a whole city. Hopefully everyone else has some nice ideas to add to this list and please keep the thread civil.

Bandit skins aren't going to come back, rocket has said in the future he wants players to have their own unique skins.

DayZ should become a stand alone game using a different engine.

I think the reason with current limitations using the Arma 2 Engine is that Rocket does not have the ability to edit the source code for use until making the game become stand alone. He has mentioned that he has to do things the long and hard way and that if he uses/changes the source code (Should be available if he make it standalone on the arma 2 engine) things will be alot easier to acheive. -

Hopefully once the out of map storage is removed it will be harder for the massive clans to hide various vehicle allowing the smaller groups and solo players to get a chance at vehicles on servers which have been around for more than a week. (Seeing as there are about 3 other sections of land about 225 square km s other than chernarus) The amount of vehicles on each server are probably about right, just the majority of players don't get to see them.

I would also back this if they made car spawns a lot more common, but in turn reduced the spawn rates of the vehicle parts ideally once they remove server hopping capabilities.
