Yes you do. :) It'll most likely pop up with a "invalid CD key" error, just ignore it and proceed, when it's fully installed you can try joining a server as you normally would. If this doesn't work, at least we can check one thing off the list.

Hello Randir, apparently the issue is related to some servers not connecting properly to the Hive, and thus becoming "private servers", with their own character data.

I don't know how to find your current beta patch without a long winded search. Your best bet is to download and run the latest patch ( http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/ ) "ARMA2_OA_Build_94700.zip" in the green box at the top. It could also be as Legacy stated, but I swore that hotfix had occurred already.

Silly question, but how can I tell what server is White Listed? I assumed all would be?

I can log in to a server, abort it, and go to another server, and theres a chance I will be using the hatchet account. It's really confusing. Am I connecting to a server that doesn't load from DayZ servers maybe?

Hello Allstargun, You'll need the new Beta patch which can be found here. ( http://t.co/Ojboij4v ) When that's downloaded, just run and install the .exe, making sure Arma 2 is closed at the time. * If you're using Six Launcher you can then proceed to find a server, and it should take care of the rest. As for the stuck at Waiting for character to create, it's an issue at the moment, apparently down to masses of people trying to connect to the Hive after the patch, not confirmed though. * You MIGHT not need to do this if you use Six Launcher, I'm not too sure.

So, I'm all for gun games, and I love the realism, but for me I find it hard to pull the trigger. Knowing the effort I go through to get my items, and reach certain locations I feel really bad taking that away? I just stalked two guys around the airfield, both had scoped assault rifles, but I opened fire, killing one, and I'm assuming broke the other guys leg/killed him. Went over to loot the items, and it's just stuff that I could easily grab back at Elektro. Now I feel awful under the thought that they have to gain it all over again, as well as relocate each other. :l I'd love to find them, and give their stuff back, am I over thinking this?
