    Hotfix Build 1.7.2.5 Rolling Update

In other words, you bailed out because you were scared of losing gear and an arbitrary number that shows up in the corner once every session, and a bug in the patch saved you from having to deal with the consequences of your earlier poor decisions? Way to go! Now that's what I call playing the game!

Because clearly, they're just not trying... Want to help? Post your system specs, screenshots of the issue occurring, and you ARMA II video settings. Otherwise, cry elsewhere.

    Hotfix Build 1.7.2.5 Rolling Update

You're such a jackass, I can't even handle it. Your fix doesn't work for everyone. Please go choke. Because what really helps in these situations is sarcasm and a general "fuck you" for the developers that are working to fix this game. Really? They're trying to make a living off of making this game a standalone reality, and you think that's what they do all day? Not really. Not really at all. In fact, it's been improved many times, but with each step forward, trying to code a game for any possible hardware configuration and user will result in bugs. Unhappy? Go play any of the other, less-realistic and less-immersive zombie games that exist. Does it? For me it just deletes all my shit every time I go in the water because I want to get to the shore that's 15m away and don't feel like running for four hours to the nearest bridge. Some of us prefer playing in Chernarus. And again, Rocket's trying to eventually make money, here; why would he release 'fake' patches when there are real bugs that need fixing. Think before you speak, 'else you wind up sounding functionally retarded. And here I am. That's really great; remove features that make sense in concept because they don't work in reality, and scrap the idea altogether, instead of putting them in an ALPHA, TESTING mod and letting your players report back on how your attempted fixes affect them. Really bright stuff here; you ought to get paid to tell these developers how to do their jobs better! Clearly, you know fucking everything about this stuff, and we all bow down to your infinite knowledge and wisdom. Go choke. If you think the War Z looks better, go stare at the six screenshots of it that have been released and masturbate furiously at their website, but don't bitch at Rocket's. Reference my post on page 64 or so for a hearty dose of ranting and more in-depth response to your ignorant bullshit. Rocket and his team are working at the pace they choose on a -free- game that we all enjoy playing, and that he wants to eventually make money on. If he's trying to make money on it, it wouldn't make sense for him to dawdle, would it? Stop acting like you know better and chill the actual fucking fuck out. Post lists of your system specs, video settings, and screenshots of glitches you encounter. If you don't know how, let everyone else do it and complain to your mother through your cell phone, not to us. It will be fixed when it is fixed; no one has a magic button for this kind of stuff. These are not "fake" patches; this one worked for about a dozen people I know personally and many of the people posting here. However, it didn't work for others. That's what happens in an Alpha mod that's being tested by literally a million people with up to a million different system configurations. TL;DR Calm down.

    What does Mountain Dew do?

Dew unto others... My clanmate and I found a Mountain Dew tonight in the church on our own server. He put it in his pack, and we looted Elektro for an hour. Then we switched servers. We logged in, went to run Elektro, ran past the Church on this new server, and both broke our legs and died. Don't do the Dew. It's not worth it. It's never worth it...

    Hotfix Build 1.7.2.5 Rolling Update

What the actual eff, people? Get over yourselves. Rocket is working extremely hard to publicize, develop and push this game, all at once, with a very small team. It's a free mod, in alpha, that is only given to us so we can help him develop a better final product. Get it? This is NOT a final product. It's an alpha of a game that doesn't even have a release date yet. We get to enjoy what little he's created (which is, in reality, a great deal of time and work), and he gets our feedback in response. Stop whining, bitching, moaning, groaning, crying, and grumbling. If you think you could do better, GO AND DO IT. Go make millions with your mad 'puter skrillz. In the meantime, the rest of us will sit here, enjoy the privilege of playing a game that is so early in its development phase, and help Rocket continue to make it better and better. We'll play the game and tell the development team if we encounter a problem. Some folks even go the million extra miles and try the game every way currently, humanly possible to see if anyone else might be experiencing issues and not reporting them. If you're going to cry about the game's issues, then don't play. Or play, and cry to each other, but NOT HERE, and not to us. This is a thread, and a forum, for serious people willing to roll up their sleeves and dig in when the game proves to be in a mood to fight back. I don't really post here, and you know why? I DON'T TYPICALLY HAVE ANYTHING USEFUL TO CONTRIBUTE. And clearly, most of you don't either. I don't understand how Rocket and his team put up with such ungrateful players on this site. If I was in charge, the lot of you whiners would be banned and barred from the game. They must have the patience of saints, to sift through ten pages of complaints and find only one or two valuable insights into why and how bugs are occurring. Stop playing, or keep your complaints to yourself. It's free, and it's unique, and it's the best we can have, right now. If you think there's something better, go play that, instead. We certainly won't miss you miserable little bastards. TL;DR Go bitch to your mother, not to us. Relevant to new patch: *Client Beta: 95883 *Server Beta: 95819 *DayZ updated to 1.7.2.5 via DayZ Commander. *Server: US 454 **IP: 199.116.118.52:2332 *Played for about three hours and ran from Kamenka all the way through Balota, Balota Airfield, Cherno, and Elektro. No artifacting occurred, bandit skins/Humanity monitor worked fine. Have not re-logged (bedtime for me) to check on ammo counter and will check out NW Airfield and Stary Sobor tomorrow for artifacting, as that's where it typically happened to me. *Video memory is set to default. *Graphics card is an nVidia 560M w/ 2GB of video memory available. *Running an i7 2670 QM @ 2.20 GHz *Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit *Video settings set to High/Very High *I do have a 2 GB video card, which I know has been mentioned as a possible reason I can avoid artifacting (I was typically able to stop it from happening prior to the new patch simply by rebooting my system, sometimes even by rebooting the game itself.) Anyone/everyone can request further information about my system, etc. I'll do my best to provide it, though this is not my area of expertise, not even a little bit. Thank you, Rocket, for making such an awesome mod and working so hard to keep it going and keep improving it. No matter the glitches or bugs, I love it way too much to ever stop playing!

Having difficulty? We got your back pt2

I've been playing games online with squads for about seven years now, and I've never found a better, more organized and more effective group of people than FTS. From the minute I joined and Fishmitts and Zolfo gave me the rundown on how things worked, to the first time a crew of six guys in military gear traveled all the way across Chernarus to get me kitted up and out of a jam, to now rolling with Fifth Squad and running Elektro like we built it ourselves, I've never stopped having the best experiences of any game I've ever played online. Whether you're just starting out and you could use a hand learning how to get around, and where to find gear, or you're a veteran player looking for a group of fellow survivors that can raid high-value, high-risk areas and come out without a single casualty, FTS is simply the best option in the harsh world of the DayZ mod. These folks will set you up, teach you the ropes, and then set you loose to own your own survival experience. If you want to run with a squad, they'll show you how it's really done and give you the know-how to safely and quickly find any and all gear that you need, and how to most effectively work as a combat-ready PvP squad member. I learned more in my first twenty minutes playing with FTS than I did in the week I spent playing the game prior to joining. It's simply awesome, and a sight to behold. FTS sincerely does have your back if you want us to, and being a new member has no effect on how welcoming and helpful we are. We're here for people that want to join, and people that just want to get a helping hand. See you in Elektro, survivors.
