Good morning denizens of the interwebs. I'm just curious as if any of ya'll play DayZ to music of your own. I usually play it listening to my little play list consisting of America (Rammstien), Du Hast (Rammstien), Gangsters Paradise (Coolio), Power (Kanye West), Free Bird (Lynyrd Skynyrd) and Mad World (Tears For Fears). It makes up for some damn interesting moments. This one time i was rolling with some buddies of mine (there was 10 of us) and we decided, "Hey lets all go to the Vybor Airfield!!" (I'm a damn Arma 2 vet :P i refer to the airfields as they are meant to be.), so all of us in our V3S, rolled in through the main gate facing Vybor / Stary Sabor, around this moment, my music (Power) kicked in; basically right around then the driver called out a contact front. Well seems there was multiple contacts.. First thing to happen was a grenade took out our tires, then we were systematically mowed down one by one. The music just made the moment epic. So basically I'm wondering, do any of ya'll listen to your own music while playing? P.S - I usually laugh when i get killed in Arma because i always have hindsight, yes I'm insane :D

My charecter is about 120 days alive now, never encountered a hacker, and ive chilled on public hive the whole time. usually in 10/50 games

Finding stuff in the game is the fun part.. just suck it up, get rid of the butthurt, and find it again. Stop whining and let the dev team fix it without all the annoying threads.

So this is what i absolutley love about DayZ, the gunfights. I HATE looting, i think it sucks. But anyways, i love the thrill of knowing im 1 bad desision from dying. It just gets my blood pumping. So anyways, lets share our favourite gunfight stories. Heres mine. This is from quite awile ago, (before my current charecter). So i was in the Vybor Airbase, just looting the barracks and such, i was bragging to my friend on teamspeak, saying, "HOLY SHIT I HAVE A m249 SUCK IT BITCH!!! VSJVFVGJKF!!!". He said pics or it didnt happen, so i sent it to him. Right after that, i heard bangs outside. Me being a curious fellow, went outside to investigate. What i saw was a group of 10 people crossing the road towards my barraks. They had mostly AKs and what seemed to be a Camoflauged rifle, (DMR?). So i instantly took cover behind the water well, and open fired my M249, pouring hot lead apon them, like a trigger happy hick. I instantly bagged 4 of them, knocked out 2. the other 4 opened fire and we ran around shooting eachother for the next 5 mins. What eventually killed me at the end was each one lobbed a grenade over the fence i hid behind and nailed me. I had a shitton of fun, even cogratulated the folks who killed me over side chat, and we bolth admitted we had fun. SO post you fav gunfights youve all had. Im just browsing the internet and chilling; and im wondering, what would everyone here do if they were trapped in a DayZ like situation, but in Real Life, and in their current city they take residence in. How screwed would you be? What weapons would you be able to get? What city is it? What would you do? GO!

You guys gotta realize, yes arma can handle alot of players, ive been in a few 300 player PVP matches on vanilla arma (INFANTRY ONLY), but helicopters most likely wont be stable on day Z. This is because you have the Player numbers, combined with all the Zombie AI hopping around, and all the static objects/loot. Ask any Veteran Arma player and they will say all these things will wreak havok with any vehicle or player on a server not able to handle it. Everything on arma adds to the server load. When you fire a bullet, it makes a projectile, not a vector where its gonna hit like COD. If you move, lots of things happen with environment, like you moving grass and such. SO helis most likely will be unstable for a LONNNNG time
