First of all, it is a simulator. It is labeled as a simulator, and the developers built it to be a simulator. Nothing you say can change that. Sure, you can label all of the unrealistic things about it, but that doesn't make it any less of a simulator. You can go find any simulator game and find hundreds of flaws in it. That doesn't make it any less of a simulator. Second of all, this is not a thread about ArmA being a simulator. It is a thread about thermal sights.

ArmA is not a FPS. It is an military simulator. Before you go making sweeping statements like that, please actually play the game, and not just a very simple mod for it.

There is only one legitimate weapon in DayZ that has a thermal sight on it. That is the L85, which is a bullpup assault rifle. The fact that it is an assault rifle somewhat balances the thermals. However, I hope that in the stand alone don't add any thermals at all.

I'll pick it up if I don't have any other weapons. It's silent, which is a huge plus. It has a relatively large magazine, and it's nice for killing zombies. It's just terrible for PvP though. If you get shot at by another player, and you have the Bizon, unless you get a headshot, you're probably going to lose.

Yes, you can get in a car with broken legs. The trap isn't to stop them from stealing the car, but rather to slow them down and sort of "get back" at them for stealing your car. It will also make them think twice before just running up to a car and getting in it. Edit: You can also place them in front of other people's cars to, as i said earlier, troll them.

Mostly I hear about people placing them in front of cars door to troll people.

The situation I described in not using a game mechanic in an unintended manner. The mechanic was designed to let you respawn if you are in some situation you don't want to be in. That is, literally, the reason it was designed. I should also point out, I almost never use the respawn button, but I do support its use. Listen, you're obviously just a huge troll, so there's no point in arguing with you. If you need to win an internet argument to feel good about yourself, that's fine. If you can't handle a civil debate, that's fine. Go troll somewhere else though. You'll get no more out of me.

I'm almost convinced at this point you're just waiting for me to post so you can counter with some big-worded post riddled with the word "logic" to try and make your points sound more valid. You're obviously not applying your beloved logic. You say I'm beating around the bush, but you're the one who has been posting insults and faux-logic to try and side-step the issue and hope no one will notice. Again, I implore you to please be civil or don't post at all. I can't take you seriously.

You obviously, like your friend above, don't know how to have a civil argument. If you can't refrain from personal insults, please stop posting. I feel like everyone that is on your side of the argument can't read. I've explained my points several times thoroughly. As I've mentioned, probably a half a dozen times, please read my previous posts to see my points, instead of being lazy and telling me to rewrite everything just for you. And, for the record, I never said I used the respawn button to get a better position. I said you can use it to respawn if you are in an unsavory situation. The example provided was that you have a broken leg, don't have any morphine and aren't near a hospital. You can keep making thing up about what I said, but it won't prove your point.

So much wrong with your post. No one ever agreed it wasn't a cheat, and no one ever said there wasn't any servers that have rules against it. In fact, I've played on several that have very specific rules against loot cycling. You're obviously the one who is failing apply logic. You don't read, or can't seem to comprehend my half of the argument. I don't know if it's out of sheer will to disregard logic or reasoning, or if you're really that thick. Honestly, your whole argument comes down to you obviously not knowing what my side of the argument entails. I've repeated myself many times, and yet you still fail to understand. Now, if you can't be civil and have an argument without resorting to personal insults, you might as well just stop.
