Sat next to someone invisible(he was bleeding) as they spawned a vehicle and a crate of every item ingame x5 infront of me. A week or so ago I'd have been able to check the logs to see which player was standing next to me and issue a ban. I'm so glad Rocket's on our side and not the exploiters.

As it stands now, anyone with access to the server can see what the server is transmitting to the hive. Player coordinates, items in their inventory, vehicle save locations, and I believe even tents. With some programming know-how you could code up a map that shows players locations as they are transmitted to the hive. Allowing admins to basically hunt down anyone on their server, find any saved camps, etc.

That is correct. Tents, Vehicles, and your location are put into the logs.

When playing with my friends, it's a constant "did you hear that shot?", and me going, "No, I didn't hear anything." My soundcard is fairly old, but so are other's that I play with. It's a Soundblaster XtremeGamer, with a Creative Fatal1ty headset. Basically i'm just curious if there are any setting tweaks to pickup background noise better.

It's hard, and unforgiving. You asking to make it easier is a waste of time and bandwidth.The industry has been flooded with casual, every day people that haven't played long.. Games have gone soft, and made easy, to cater to these people, because well, that's where the money is currently. The industry has nearly turned to utter shit because of it. There are few games out there that offer a real challenge. This game is very unique and somehow appeals to both casual gamers, and the 'hardcores'. it's my hope people can realize games can be hard, and still be fun. Next time come on the forum and ask, "I"m having this problem, what suggestions does anyone have to get around it?" Critical thinking will get you far in games, p.s. Cars respawn after 7 days of non-use. Last i heard.

We get the same issues on our server. If the server is restarted again they almost always show back up. Apparently it's an issue with people trying to connect too soon after a restart.

Sorry kiddo, not going to teach you or your friends how to track players. Try somewhere else. It's been suggested that the log files should be encrypted, and that's all that matters.

Sorry, I need to prove anything to you? Believe it or don't, doesn't matter to me. I'm not going to sit here and teach admins how to understand how to relate the coordinates in the log to the ingame format. As for the items, that's plain as day in the logs. There are enough douchey admins as it is. How is the server i'm on relevent? What do you have to worry about, admins cant track you or your vehicles remember?

Yes. I'm a retard because i've sat there with my buddy and had him tell me exactly where I was ingame, while he was out of the game by checking the logs. They are vehicles, at some point you stop driving them. Real-time is irreleventAlso to the OP. There is an issue with server restarts not putting the vehicles ingame. I find they usually come back next restart.
