  1. Oh shut up and stop spreading bullshit. Information sent to the hive is in the logs. Admins can see player locations, locations of vehicles, items in your inventory You're either not an admin so have no real business saying what they can and cant do, or you're an incompetent admin. Either way you're wrong. Same goes to you.
  2. Yes i'm sure. I've seen a log of the server to hive communication.. He told me item for item what I had in my inventory. He's told me my location a few times(just to let me know that he can, in a sadistic way) I'd at least like this acknowledged as an issue. I hate even bringing it up because of the massive amount of potential abuse it opens up.
  3. You should also try www.reddit.com/r/dayzlfg
  4. I wouldn't play anywhere other than a reputable server. Server admins have the ability to track the locations of players, tents, and vehicles.
  5. Do whatever you need to do where you're in control of the project..
  6. 10 second delayed dc won't really do all that much. Hide behind a wall and dc, while the other guy is a 45 second jog away.
  7. What about something like this:Player logs out of server1 in a firefight Player logs into server2 to find a better spot to flank his enemy Player logs out of server2 Player tries to log into server1 but he can't because he needs to wait 5 minutes to rejoin his previous server after joining another. OR Player tries to log back into server1, but the server realizes his last log out point within 5 minutes is different than what the central server's is. Ghosting is assumed and the game server's last recorded location is used. I'm not too sure on the whole disconnecting simply to avoid combat, but this should fix ghosting.

  9. It's in a pretty rough state at the moment seeing as it was just patched and has issues.. I highly recommend sticking with it and giving it a chance. I started last week and once you get past the learning stage it gets really fun. You just need to learn where to go for loot. I did fairly well frequenting barns and deer stands. Deer stands are a bit risky since a fair amount seem to be in the middle of a field. I'd stick to good ping low pop servers to start, but that's your call.
  10. Don't listen to people that tell you that latency has anything to do with FPS, they're the same people that use dvdrom drive trays as cup holders. Your internet connection is also fine as long as your ping is low. Having a 20meg connection and having a 70meg connection doesnt do anything for games. If you wanted to see who could download arma2 faster, then it'd matter. I'd defrag, disk check, and make sure you have no viruses. Check your task manager's performance tab to see if anything is using a lot of cpu or memory. Make sure to close the terrible six launcher also, known issues leaving that running. Lastly make sure your audio and video drivers are up to date.
