Had the same situation, cornered into a room by a few guys with rifles, i type friendly but no reply, i was unarmed at the time but fully stocked up food :beans:, drinks and everything else i need to survive so i just log off. :blush: -

Normally friendlies will just pass by or go into another direction to avoid any hostilities and not sneak up behind you unless it's a pretty tight/narrow spot. -

Yeah, Chernogorsk is getting kind of crowded because of the easy access to supplies. It's fast becoming a hot spot for snipers. I was at Cherno last night for a while i noticed dead bodies in the supermarket and spotted a sniper on the across the building. Quietly sneak out the back door before he can take a shot/noticed me. Best way is to crawl around the corners slowly and take a peek. But i did came across a few friendlies every now and then. Trying Elektro now for new supplies even if sneaking is a lot harder there. You're not getting me, frakkin' banditos! :P -
Canned food(baked beans/sardines) is the easiest way to regain your blood although hunting them can be a chore(try the supermarket and churches) Blood transfusion if you have blood bags and a partner to play with.

Griefing is still griefing, Valid tactic? Valid tactic for what? Annoying other players so they hop into other servers? I tried pressing "v" to jump over the barbed wire in several servers but doesn't seem to work at all. I just give up and hop into another server( only to find the griefers placed barbed wire at the same position =.=; ) -

After the 1.7.2 patch, I usually ran along the coastlines until i see a bunch of bushes or rock formations and loose them there. It's no use going back to the same direction you're in since i noticed the infected you've previously encountered has a perma-aggro. Best way is to log out and log in again to reset their behavior. I tried crawling but somehow the infected got alerted even when they're very far away. And this happens quite a lot even though it random. The other only way to loose them is to swim. My other advice is to drop your bag in a hidden location before searching for supplies. That way, you won't feel so hurt when you jump into a river or the sea which tend to drop stuff from your inventory. -

Quoted for truth! If you're in a zombie apocalypse, the best chance for survival is to stick together. It's not easy to pull a trigger on someone or even hurt anyone unless you're born with a mental problem. Since this is just a game, people get bored/frustrated quickly and start killing one another. If the poster feels the thrill and power by killing other players, then let him be. At least he gets some fun and vent out his frustrations from getting sniped by others. -
Piece of advice to new players not wanting to get shot

I had several occasion where players waking towards me with a his/her gun pointed at me going about their business. I just pray they don't shoot me as i crouch walk past them in the opposite direction and quickly find a place to hide around the corner. So far, so good. Safety dance or salute might get you killed since you have to stand up to do it for a few seconds as the animation plays out and exposed yourself to the other players or zombies. Unless they signal me or something, i just ignore them. -

I've bought ArmA 2: CO through BI website and downloaded it from sprocket. Not a big fan of Steam's DRM. Yeah, it does show up on several servers i played in fading in and out. I just ignore the message and kept on playing .A prank or the fact the game is launched through the Six Launcher, i could be wrong. -

Almost every server i play, i have a problem with barbed wires: Griefers tend to block the entrance of each building whether it's the church, apartment buildings and and even the larger factory doors making supplies impossible to loot without a toolkit. Some people just got too much time on their hands. :rolleyes: -

True but sometimes when they're chasing you out in the open with non-accessible buildings on sight, headshots can be a little too tough. Their speed need to be reduced for players to have a slim chance to turn around and shoot them on the head. -

If they're slow ass zombies from Resident Evil, i won't mind the headshot idea but at their current speed they're already lethal enough. -
So far I've only since bandit firefights from a far distance. All the players that I've crossed path with haven't open a single shot and go about their business. One even followed me for supply looting behind me and i didn't even have to chat with him. So considered myself lucky for now. :P

Voted... -> Zombie senses are fine -> Zombies need to be slower, as fast as the player (at its current state, they run like a bunch of looney toons) -> Zombies stumbling and getting irritated by objects/trees in their path -> Zombies generally need to be easier (they break bones and bleed players too easily on their first strike) -> Zombies are bugged as hell

I have the Ghillie suit bug and i noticed the infected aggro easily even when you're crouch from a long distance but I've not lost any gear yet or any other ingame bugs. If you're new to the mod, you should stick to 1.7.1.5 for the moment.

Which is why it's good to see some DayZ vids online or google for instructions before playing the mod. I started with the noobs' playthrough by IGN. In the commentary they'd actually explain about the axe and much more. -

It's unavoidable, players sometimes need to vent out their frustrations. There was a time i was emotionally drained after losing my well-equiped character to a surprise infected attack from behind. It took me quite a long time travelling from one major city to another to find the supplies and i haven't even begun to use my weapon when i died. it's the large amount of time invested that got to me. Still i create a new character and move on. This DayZ parody video explains everything: :DAlso It might have to do with holding down the W key for a long time( the place is over 200km) :P -
Unless we get flags/effects for murder, this game will just be Deathmatch.

Today i log in inside a building(in one of the random servers) and first thing I see is 2 dead players in front of me. There were sounds of gunfire so quickly loot the bodies and went out the door a bit to take a peek. I noticed a few players was busy shooting each other so i quietly ran out and hide a few buildings away. To my surprise, there were no zeds around the area. The place became a warzone for humans only! In that moment, it's more Battlefield than DayZ. :lol: -
i had infected aggro from a far distance since the 1.7.2 patch. I see them running towards me from a distant hill( where the infected is just a few pixels in size) even when i crouch walk. Also, I used to be able to crawl around Chernogorsk without issue but after the patch they all seem to be super psychic. I crouch walk inside buildings and the next thing i realized, the infected followed me behind every side of the outer wall. This is frustrating especially when I'm trying to loot for supplies. Hope this can be fixed on the next patch. :)
