Half the fun of the game is the fact that you always have to be on your toes. And another thing is that if this were real then people wouldnt just walk out in front of you and then fight they will hide so that they have a better chance is all about realism.

I just use a map so i can figure out where i am and where i am going to go.

I have found in my own experiences that Electro is a bit nicer play when it comes to people. Even though the loot areas aren't as close as Cherno I have yet to meet a person in Electro that has killed me. When i go to Cherno though i usually run into two groups of people having a firefight and get killed. My advice dont go into any of the major cities untill you have a weapon and know exactally what your going to do.

One thing that you also have to remeber is that DayZ is a mod. If a mod becomes too big in most cases it becomes a full game. And I think at the moment they are trying to not have to make it a full game. I am not saying they will never but changing from a mod to a game will require a lot more resources then you would need for making a mod. On another note the military grade weapons are either very hard or rare to obtain. Like my current guy has been alive for about 4 days and i must have looked at 10 deer stands and i have yet to find a single military grade weapon.
