  1. here here! *offers flame retardant suit*
  2. QQ moron, learn to read before you spout off garbage / Am I saying remove any of that? NO! Am I complaining about bugs, NO! In fact I'm fine with the bugs as this is alpha. They can be fixed. Current player interaction cannot. The more populated servers become the higher the shoot on site mentality will become, the less enjoyable the game will be. If every player is automatically hostile to other players, it removes the situational tension. It simply becomes see player, kill player to be safe. Some tweak is needed to add some sort of risk/reward to banditry
  3. WTF is your problem. You're not making any point, just shitting on other people. "pussyfying the game" give me a fucking break. HOW ABOUT YOU RESPOND TO THE BLOODY CLOTHING SUGGESTION INSTEAD OF BEING AN ASSHOLE x100 AND CONVENIENTLY IGNORING IT.
  4. Bandit skin was removed because it was too easy to become a bandit without BEING a bandit. So the bandits complained and it got removed. You don't think it can work the other way around? You take the normal white and black vested survivor outfit, put a little blood spatter on it so it can be seen relatively close, but not too far. It's a perfect solution that Dean's even mentioned. Yet no one responds to that, only how "unfair" branding bandits, bandits would be. Here's an idea - stop terrorizing people or accept the consequences of said actions. But no, it's easier to devolve the game into a free for all death match and flame anybody who speaks out in favor of the old system.
  5. And we're back to shooting on sight, AGAIN. Go away. It's not an equal footing. If I choose not to kill i'm dramatically increasing the chances of me dieing (-). If a bandit chooses TO kill me he now has all my shit and a much lower chance of dieing (+). Anyway you spin it, killing players on sight is the least negative/most beneficial. So the game is encouraging player killing for the sake of player killing. You see where this is going?
  6. I was making the point that out of all the bugs glitches, player killing trumps it as the most experience breaking. You are one person. One person doesn't make a project financially sustainable or fiscally reasonable. Get you're head out of your ass. This game will change based on the players. If it doesn't, it WILL fail.
  7. Rorogley, gtfo of here on quoting Rocket. Rocket dances around the issues in all of his posts. He was never a project lead before. This is his first project he's over seeing in its entirety. He has no set of goals either. It's his little experiment. That's why as things scale up, things change. At the end of the day fun has to trump realism and debauchery to feasibly look to enter the market as an independent product. No one wants a 1:1 IRL simulator. He's dancing on eggshells so he doesn't have to pick sides and alienate portions of the community. Notice how bandit morphing was removed AFTER that quote. Stop arguing, you're not going to make a point.
  8. congratulations, you just suggested the problem IS the solution. Circular logic back to shooting on sight at everyone regardless. God dammit, are people really that dumb? Are you really that dumb?
  9. Because player killing is completely out of control, have you been paying attention to anything I've said, or did you just come to troll? I was on a server with 3 people on today in berezino and somebody still sniped me. WTF is the purpose of that? It's just malicious. It's a deal breaker for a LOT of people. No one is going to invest any discernible amount of time and drop $60 dollars if this is the way player interactions will be handled in the final product. Rocket's talked about possibility making player who murder and loot a corpse have blood stained clothing, what's your take on that? still unrealistic to you? <_< I don't want banditry removed. But I don't want it to be the main staple of the game. Wtf is the point of looting at that point? Why go around for hours and search for items when you can simply drop a player with a sniper from somewhere he can't see you, outside a loot spawn? How do you not see something inherently wrong with that?
  10. God, you're a persistent little sped aren't you. You know how when someone uses the term "anti-hero" the person is still a hero, but they break the traditions of 'what a hero is'? SAME THING. This just breaks the typical "go here, do this, ok you won" model. There is no "goal" per say, Doesn't Make it not a game, does make you a fucking retard who takes things too literal and who'll bend an argument to suit their need. Fallacy.
  11. another one of the fucking IRL arguments. GTFO or look at the first page for like 7 reasons why that's an illogical argument. I supposed you think morphine would let you walk on a broken leg, right, because it's all about IRL with your guys. Morons. Trolling. Bandit. Morons. They bend what ever argument they like to suit their needs and flame anyone that says differently. >:(
  12. But the fact there is no grouping system, coupled with rampant player killing makes things really chaotic really fast. I am part of a group like I've said. That doesn't stop instances of friendly fire if we're not in a chat due to the nature of the game. I've been killed by my own friendlies because they won't take time to determine whether the person in front of them is hostile when in our own territory. Nothing better than getting an M1911 round in the back of the head followed by 6 steam chat sounds of your buddy saying "OMG I HAD NO IDEA THAT WAS YOU! SO SORRY! I'll WATCH YOUR STUFF!" "PvP with PvE element thrown in" : ass backwards, it's player vs. environment with PvP mixed in.
  13. And for the record, my suggestion was facetious, hence why it isn't in the suggestion section "it's not a game" gtfo of here. Just because it's not a finished product doesn't make it not a game. So much retard logic in this thread. A modified game is still a game. Without criticism things don't move forward. This isn't my first alpha, and I'm not even complaining about bugs. I'm complaining about the nature of player intereactions and the complete fallacy of the logic surrounding it. I made a joke about the nature of players being dicks in this game, and that causing a chain reaction eventually devolving into what we have here. Not hard to tell who the dedicated player killers are based on the responses. ;) The fact you know anyone you see is going to try to kill you, defeats the purpose of player interactions now. It removes all the uneasy tension and moral dilemma of it. THERE IS NO WEIGHT TO PLAYER KILLING for the one doing the killing. but no, idiots will just "GO QQ MOARZ! LOLOLOL HE MAD!11! ZOMG IT'S TEH ALFAS" rather than have any sort of discussion on risk vs. reward.
  14. Keep telling yourself that dude. In a real situation like this, people would band together, not murder each other for fun in the middle of no where. I reinforce players with your mind set are the problem with the game. I'm not against it, but there needs to be a draw back. My camp consists of 10+ tents with enough loot that even a clan couldn't haul it all away. I was having more fun when the zombies were broken in 1.7.2.1 because it actually required people to work together or avoid each other. Stop equating murdering to thieving IRL. Because A, a majority of the population doesn't fucking steal, let a lone murder and steal. And, B, It's 99% of players, stop using retard logic. It made people really think about firing near cities, Now it's back to camping bandits killing for frills. And p.s. Hendrix, everyone knows you're a cut throat But in the end, you can't argue with backwards logic like you're doing. IRL I shoot you with any caliber you're not walking away. IRL people don't clip through doors. IRL people don't D/C if they miss the first time or are in trouble. IRL people don't just fucking murder people for the thrill. IRL any kind of crash over 20kpm is going to damage a vehicle pretty substantially. IRL someone biting you won't break a femur. IRL people don't get better from gunshots or horrible wounds by eating. IRL people don't become dehydrated in 20 minutes. IRL people don't starve in 20 minutes. IRL people don't spurt blood like a fountain. IRL; people play games to have fun. In this game that's synonymous with ruining other players fun and turning away future potential players. now go away bandit.
  15. 3 out 10 of my tents reset within 6 hours on US331 Lost 1 FAL, 2 M4 CCO's, 1 AK-74 kobra, 1 M14, 1 m16 w/ 203, 22 DMR clips AND 6 MORE FUCKING TENTS JUST TO NAME A FEW! GIVE ME A BREAK GAME! STOP DELETING MY RARE ITEMS AND LEAVING MY COMMON STUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:(

you obviously leave them in dumb spots.

    Zombie respawn time too fast

It's gotten to the point I carry 8 AKM mags and 6 m1911 mags where ever I go looting. Standing toggled lean mode in 3rd person, full auto - obliterate everything in your path as quick as possible, get in, get out. Any atempt to sneak ends in me losing 1500 blood switching stances and run speed.

    Guillie gone 1.7.2

Stop bitching. I got bugged and teleported a mile off the coast of the debug forest, swam to shore, and remembered i had just stuck an m24 in my backpack directly before picking up the ghillie... Fought my way clear across the map with 15 rnds. Persistence! :D

    Zombie respawn time too fast

wasted 4 stanag mags, and 2 glock mags because zombies (plural... 16+ zombies around the building, it was weird) were randomly aggroing me on the top of an apartment building, despite the fact I was prone and not moving... If the mechanics were consistent it wouldn't be an issue, but it's like some zombies INSTANTLY make a B-line for you. My partner was checking his inventory (ie crouched, sitting still, and a zombie from at least 30 meters away facing the opposite direction) and it still bolted at him. This repeated at least 3 more times over the course of the night. I feel really bad for new players as there is no avoiding them anymore. I've noticed this has pretty much killed PvP combat too, because no one can risk getting into a firefight and attracting the unwanted attention.
