I hate how people don't read. This isn't even about the game. I'm not saying people who kill in the game are deranged. It's about people arguing a shoot on sight mentality would be realistic in post apocalyptic environment. It's an illustration of just how far you have to snap. They're rationalizing murder. It's twisted. Like this thread.

Zombies? What zombies? This is pure PvP.

pvp was supposed to be one piece of a larger pie. People who learned the system got bored surviving and made it the main staple because other pieces are missing. Understand THIS, please. -
I'd like to debate your definition of "barely" but to each their own.
-
This is directed at those who argue on the forums that in real post apocalyptic scenario, people would kill each other on sight. Not to draw a direct parallel with video games... I'm not that crazy senator. I just got sick of seeing that ridiculous and disgusting fallacy over and over.
-
so if it was theater full of people in a post apocalyptic setting, it would apply better? Political correctness is where people draw the line apparently. I'm invoking a reflective thought here.

Aras, why do you insist on trolling these forums AND doing it like a scrub? Serious question. Edit: just look at what he's given beans for saying, i'm not being mean.

Wow, destroying the tents "for the lolz" marked you as griefing assholes in my book.

There have been at least 5. Shut your mouth before you use your eyes next time. This isn't so much about saying "i have the solution" as "there is a problem that needs a solution" Which half this board bursts into flames over the thought of actually having to think about killing someone, let alone acknowledging there is no weight to the decision. Considering half the posts are from the "everything is fine as is; despite 'this an alpha' being my argument" people. -
Why would you go a on a public forum and post the location of someones camp? to people like you:

I met the most kind guy in DayZ so far. In cherno.

glad you're a fucking douche bag. Keep laughing when the hype around the mod is dead and assholes have killed the entire community. There is no logic in this. Just being a griefer. I hope you get the fucking bubonic plague and die a horrible death, or better yet, you actually get mugged and shot. prick' -
And he means lightly lol. I'd hate to hear about you blowing up two vehicles while trying to fix one.. It would make a funny story though. :D

I couldn't even get a bike out of one foot of water. Honestly, due to a lack of physics it's probably impossible... well without destroying said ATV in the process.

A serious question for the PvP-phobes
skyter replied to TheMachine's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
your play style is the law of the land right now because it's so prevalent. Attempting anything else most assuredly ends in a swift death. If one play style makes other play styles un-playable, by process of elimination and on the current game model; yes you're forcing people to play your way, whether intentional or not. -

GTFO of here if you've never played the game/ you can't levy any kind of input one way or the other when you haven't played the fucking game. People are so retarded it's unbelievable. -
Ten Reasons why Kill on Sight is 'Realistic'

Ten Reasons why Kill on Sight is 'Realistic'
skyter replied to Rogo Ignoscant's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
that boils down to community mindset. If people normally killed everyone they saw IRL chances are you would carry a gun and do the same. If it's a minority of people, you probably wouldn't, as IRL. It's still a shitty circular logic that ends up making everyone lose in the long run. -

Then how do explain why the human civilization is still alive after thousands of years of different hardships? I hate people like you that justify something so complex with a bunch of BS that through history have been proven MOOT, just to try and justify a forced play style. People kill in this game because they're bored and they can. There is no real weight to the decision. end/ Half the reasons you state have no application to anything in the game btw, you can't make shit up and say "oh well derp derp derp" -

Question to players complaining about getting killed
skyter replied to Kiro (DayZ)'s topic in New Player Discussion
you mean the movie where EVERY LIVING THING is almost extinct and there are no supplies and people eat each other... completely comparable to a game with a readily available food, a common threat, and enough gear to go around. (heavy sarcasm included) -

too bad starting backpacks don't have enough slots. "balls" to kill someone get real. It takes more balls to let someone live in this game -

But they don't, or I wouldn't have 120 beans for saying what people are thinking. I'm not against PvP for the 100th time, I just don't like the fact there is nothing to dissuade people like there is from letting a person go. There is a down side to letting people live, as they can turn on you and kill you instantly, and 90% of the time they will, but as it stands there is no downside to killing people. That is a fact. With out a human aspect to the game, it's just that - Another game Don't say "heart beat" because you need to be almost next to someone for it to become noticeable, and given the current shoot to kill mindset of everyone playing, it's a little useless wouldn't you say? The real people who are butt hurt over anything said here ARE the PvPers -
That it's more rewarding to actually find said weapons yourself through exploration than scumbag snipe a player because he found one. He had a "how would I feel" moment the is rarely had in this game. Much respect OP
