Enough stumbleing around in the dark like a jackass.

Hello. I am Clerkius on Skype. -
You're asking for some very valuable equipment in trade of a more common weapon, mate. Good luck getting any legitimate trade offers.

Experienced Player Seeking Comrade(s)!

Bumping this thread. My timezone is Pacific Standard Time / West Coast in California. -
The contents of my tent were deleted earlier this morning, after a server restart had taken place. The vehicle and its contents were still intact at my secured camp.
-
I can understand the ideal skills of a newbie, but have you managed to learn your way around navigating with a map? That's a key factor to an efficient partnership.
-
Do tell, I am interested. I haven't had the same luck with tents. What are some of these variables?
-
Server restarts will remove the contents of your tent(s) permanently, not making it an ideal method of storage as of right now. None of the items listed are of interest to me, but I've got a couple in my vehicle if you acquire any better items; vehicles have a storage capacity as large or even bigger than tents, and the contents stored inside of those are not deleted upon server restarts. :P

I guess I'll be standing idle until further notice.

Very demanding requirements when it comes to asking for playing 5+ hours daily, which doesn't accomodate working people like me who work 40+ hours weekly. What a shame for me, too, because it sounds like you really want to setup a good, communicative team. Whilst I could be playing for hours on end, it might not be at the times you would prefer based on my ever-changing work schedule, some days I could be on early in the morning, some afternoon, some late at night, and in those rare but few particular days you just might see me on all day. Anyways, good luck forming your clan!

I'll give you my beans just for the hell of it. -
DayZ name (your name in-game): Clerkius Steam name (N/A if no Steam account is available for use): Clerkius Country: USA Timezone: Pacific Standard Time / West Coast Age: 18 How long have you played ArmA II?: Not even an hour. How long have you played the DayZ mod?: Approximately five weeks. Do you like obtaining things and using them (i.e. engine parts for a vehicle)? (Yes or No): Yes, and no, it depends on what is currently available to me, and / or if I'm determined to acquire anything in particular to have an adequate reason for picking any items in question. Experience (1 paragraph or less): Playing by the three C's; "Cool, Calm, Collective", I've come to learn much about the world environment, and its interactions between zombies & players alike. You will find that I have extensive knowledge of DayZ as I pinpoint what buildings spawn what, navigate with a map, coordinates & GPS, and provide proficient over-watch protection or cover fire in close quarters fire fight. I'm as assertive, communicative and obedient as a member of a group as I am a leader. I've read the DayZ Wikipedia / Database as if it were a knowledgable bible at one point, so feel free to provide me with your curiosities or look it up yourself. We can easily attain equipment for one another as I can for myself, sniper rifles, clothing, provisions, you name it! DayZ version: 9.62.95417 Notes: I prefer using Skype, my Skype Username is the same, Clerkius. Yes, I have a microphone and can communicate either way.

Looking for a DayZ Skype Partner

I actually wouldn't recommend playing with this fellow, we hadn't talked much before he went into an irrational state of conversation. I highly doubt that someone with such a pompus state of mind would make an excellent comrade. Here are some screenshots of our conversation, it only took a few sentences from me to set him off, and for the wrong reasons. I honestly wasn't trying to provoke you, I gave you my honest statement, and was even being friendly towards you. My regards to your search for a partner, hopefully they will accommodate your preference of play, behavior, and dialect; albeit your attitude won't get you very far in terms of social interactivity, gaming, and reality alike. A little advice from me before I conclude this post, don't judge a book by its cover; metaphorically speaking of course! ;) -

Clerkius One, and one's fine with me. -
Yeah! Let's have the safety of entering the ever-so-popular NW Airfield and Stary Sobor for its amazing weapons and equipment! *Sarcasm* Sorry, but I'm not signing this. It's not just ideal. I've come to learn how to adapt to things such as 'Snipers' shooting players from fresh spawns, and actually avoid such contact. DayZ is a matter of trial and error, and once you've sorted out most of it, you'll know what to do.

Separate Clips and Ammo

^^^ Owned. Sorry, had to say that, ahah; albeit I'm sure he knows what you really meant. I'll agree on that, though! Would change the dynamicss of the game significantly. -
Cool.

A guy named Brent happened to walk into my camp in a mountain range on the US 917 Seattle, and he just didn't happen to see me. The first thing he went for was weapons tent, so I snuck up behind him and literally blasted the guy in both the head and chest with two clips of M1911 Handgun Rounds. He...did NOT die. In fact, when I unloaded the first round on him, he went into an instant bandaging animation but cancelled it just as I was reloading the second clip. By the time I was reloading on my third clip ( I've been making direct head & body shots ) the guy turned around, then shot and killed me in one hit with an Enfield. It's hard to perceive this as a legitimate firefight. The battle took place between 8:00 - 9:00 PM (Pacific Standard Time).
-
You're not Brent, I've seen you around these forums, stop trolling. The guy wouldn't die, every shot resulted him into going into an automatic bandaging animation.

When I first saw this thread, I had assumed you were over 18, and wanted to play with people younger than you with the assumption that you were a Pedophile. -
As long as you know your way around...

I praise the idea of scarcer item spawns, especially in military areas, hospitals, and markets to make things such as food, tools, and especially weapons that much more valuable to acquire. Having played for weeks on end, anybody with basic experience can easily acquire a Makarov or any other items of desire with little to no trouble. Hospitals are loaded with dozens of medical supplies, super markets are often flooded with a surplus of food and tools, ideally this would be right if the game didn't take place in a post-apocalyptic world; albeit the resources shouldn't be so abundant as they are now. Yes, it's just a game modification in 'Alpha, but I'm not forcing this idea either. Just a piece of my mind. :beans: EDIT: Seeing players rely more on hunting 'game', and refilling water bottles to take care of their needs would be a welcoming factor for survival; especially if other materials were to be made scarcer. Amplifying the difficulty is certainly something I know Rocket is looking into.
