I didn't know you could even pop a wheelie. My buddy was driving and all of a sudden, BAM, in the air. Started spamming F12 until we hit the ground again.

I'm not banned, but if I may play Devil's advocate here... what if....WHAT IF....BattlEye actually did screw up, and some legitimate players have been banned? Maybe I'm wrong, maybe everyone has deserved the bans, but... -

Looks just like a military communications facility, hence the tower. There is a pile of rotting corpses there as well, so it would seem that the military had to kill off some of their own.

But do these bans not extend to the rest of Arma as well? It's one thing to be denied access to a free mod; it's another to be barred from a paid purchase unfairly.And I doubt that BE is under any sort of legal obligation to fix the bans. And *maybe* everyone here is indeed a hacker and is just making up stories, but I doubt that as well. Players shouldn't have to permanently stop playing a portion of a game because another company dun goofed. That's just wrong.

BattlEye did promise us a big ban wave, didn't they? *shakes head* Glad I haven't updated. Real curious to see how they handle the situation. If they let the bans stand, this'll be a big PR hit for them (assuming the situation is as dire as reddit and this thread makes it out to be).

SD is superior, but ammo is rare. And unless you don't mind ammo exploits, it'll be gone before long. So the M1911 might be a better choice, despite the nerf.

But no one is paying for DayZ in its current state. You pay for ARMA. A standalone version will presumably have superior hacking protection. -

The explanation is just that: it's just a videogame. We - meaning most gamers - play games to detach ourselves from reality and to be entertained. A lack of remorse from a kill should not be indicative of one's personality, but rather the detachment from it while playing a videogame.

Pretty ignorant to say that. It depends more on play style. If OP is almost explicity a sniper, then the L85 would be the better choice. If he actively engages in city PvP, then the M4 will prove more valuable.

Actually yes, that is more or less the proper way to loot farm. You must move/remove ALL loot in at a spawn location, retreat to a certain distance (which might be 30m+, as he stated), and then return.

I'd say the M4. Though thermal is great, the gun in itself isn't.

Oh geez, it's happening to me. I use Mumble when I play DayZ and have my push-to-talk button bound to left ctrl. Last night while playing split-screen Rainbow Six Vegas 2 with my dad, I would feel an instinct to push the ctrl button - which of course doesn't exist on a 360 controller - before talking to him.
