I have found 3 today, picked up a M249 and Bizon. They are rare but exist. Unfortunately, the Day Z db seems to have temporarily removed the sites from their map...

Aight, myths and shiz aside, I will tell you what I did find. Loot? Minimal, but vehicles can potentially spawn along with low level military. Zeds? A few. Only two things intrigued me. First, there's a big pile of dead bodies swarmed with flies. It's...kinda gross. Secondly, there was at least one zombie I couldn't find. Sounded like it was in the green building, but I couldn't find a way in. So...I dunno.

NOPE. Nothing feels better than bunching up in a barn with 4 of my buds, taking out my M249, and laying into a horde of undead.

Any advice on where to look?

We're going to cap at around 10 or 15, I think. Got into a firefight tonight with another group and lost two men, but no bandits will be able to fend off a small army :)

Da fuq son. All on one server?

Heck, my group and another got into a firefight just there. My two buddies had only shotties and my M4 has limited range. Guns went off and I was on overwatch but couldn't get a clear shot. One of the guys from the enemy group went down, another was wounded, and I lost both of my men. I never could get a clear shot to save them, not even to lob a grenade :( It's generally not a safe place.

Are you saying that random groups of people on the internet playing games AREN'T bound inexplicably to severe and rigid rules of honor? Impossibru!

Well, yes, if you want better guns.My advice? Go with a group, go to a low pop server, and go at night. This best increases your odds of survival. I managed to sneak in and out of NWAF the other day and got away with a M4A3 CCO. But if you want a wee bit less risk, check for chopper crashes on, again, low pop servers. Snipers will still camp them, but given their random and rare appearances, they're less likely to be watched. They'll be full of zombies, though.

Ah, well, I just found that place on the map and it's a bit of long haul from Stary, so I'll have to pass on this. Though I really do need a tent and I do have a blood pack :/

I respectfully think that your idea is very bad.

I wouldn't do it unless you're absolutely sure you're going to love it. There's a steep learning curve and you will be frustrated frequently by bugs, bandits, etc.

Barracks and heli crashes are really the best way. Although I personally found a M4A3 CCO and use SD mags, but it's practically the same.
