Is English not your first language? Honest question.

Uh, simple rebooting affects nothing.

Real Topic: Disconnecting Resolution
Zexis replied to D4saken1's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Some sort of timer would both inhibit combat loggers and hoppers, and would only minimally affect other players. Seems like a decent solution, maybe, though I certainly wouldn't make it any longer than 30 seconds. -
I find heli crashes to be less dangerous. Airfield is sort of a death trap, what with all the server hoppers.

It's not always a guaranteed KO. A second shot would have finished him, though. CZ has a scope and the Enfield aggros entire towns.

US 524 - Bulls**t by admins or hackers?
Zexis replied to Sidekicknicholas's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Sorry for quoting a tower, but it's hard to fix that in mobile. Anyways, do you ever have issues with your tents? Missing loot or whatever? -
Be sure to check under the chopper, too. At an otherwise empty site, that's how I found my M249.

To add to the list in the second post: Start Sobor

I'm afraid I've had to advise friends/family against this fine mod (why?)
Zexis replied to Mr Muggles's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I'm sorry, but it's your fault for buying arma if you didn't want arma. Maybe PvP will be addressed in the future, maybe it won't. But buying a game solely for a mod usually isn't a good idea. -
That one is the best. Though yesterday they removed the heli crash sites from it for some reason...

How Many Times Have You.... (map hackers)?
Zexis replied to Nirvana620's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I've heard that this is possible. It's what makes me want a single-player version :/ Or password servers. Or something! I'm sure that will all come with time, though. -
Loot is loot is loot, and "inflation" doesn't necessarily have as adverse effects as monetary inflation. More groups will have higher tier gear, maybe, but that doesn't make the equipment any less valuable.I play in a group and we raided perhaps the entire northern half of the map today. Drops like NVG, tents and vehicles have low spawn rates and it really comes down to luck. Hitting high yield areas like supermarkets and the NWAF increases your odds of finding epic lewtz, but there's never a guarantee. IN CONCLUSION, I wouldn't mind spawns to be tweaked but, if they are, I don't want rare items to become rarer. It's simply disheartening and a bit boring to traipse across the map with very little luck in finding goodies. This is all while using the db map to not miss deer stands, heli crash sites, etc.

about to start first camp, would like some help.
Zexis replied to t3hnoob's topic in New Player Discussion
Tents are buggy right now and like to eat loot. Be wary! Secondly, consider convenience vs secrecy. If you need to drop off loot or die, how easy is it to locate the camp? And if you can find it, what do you think the odds are of someone else stumbling into your settlement? All it takes is one person to find your loot to ruin your day. -
You're fortunate that only 3 spawned. I usually get at least ten. It was probably server lag, but the double-barreled has pretty cruddy range.

Player Collision - Bug or Feature
Zexis replied to Skydiver (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Heh, not a feature. A friend opened a gate that swung into me, broke my legs, and rendered me unconscious. Thank gawd we had plenty of medical supplies on hand. But yes, collisions are definitely buggy. Ever hear of crawling through doorways and breaking your femur? Yup. Not a feature. -
It should say something that despite the many bugs, Day Z is still exceptionally popular. It is a unique experience offered by no other game / mod, again showing the affinity gamers have for high-quality sand boxes (Minecraft, anyone?) Can't wait to see how this develops. Just please don't make me bug out and lose my loot anytime soon :)

Almost every player is a hatchet wielding madman at some point or another. Anything to protect the beans, man.

In the future, electro and churno are history!
Zexis replied to moofactory's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I'll take Chernaurus again, but let's have it on the Frostbite engine and with current-gen graphics, eh? :) Too bad my pooter wouldn't be able to handle it. -
People die often, loot despawns, bugs take away things, small groups stockpile, etc. NVGs and other goodies are rare enough as is. Let's not make them any harder to find!

Best places to find snipers? *Not Miitary*
Zexis replied to mccullxch's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Negative!I carry a DRM that I picked up from one of my fallen comrades. Two of my buds and I looted Berezino earlier. While they searched the military tents, I positioned myself in an apartment building some ways away and provided overwatch from one of the top floors. Took out two zeds they aggro'd, saving them from having to fire shots and aggro even more undead. Same thing happened when we hit the northeast airfield. I hopped on top of the comm tower and gave them distanced support while they hit the hangars. Always feels good when I pull off a hit before a zed zeroes in. Guardian angel, if you will :) I have not killed a single player with the rifle, though we admittedly have been trying to avoid other survivors for the time being. -
Clicked on it, scanned for a few seconds, didn't see it, realized I'm in a dark room, "nope'd" off the page.

My small group has been raiding towns all day and we've yet to see a single vehicle or tent. We're getting a bit anxious as we want to set up a base and stockpile supplies before our inevitable deaths... Any advice on reliable locations for this stuff? We've been hitting marked locations on the dayz db map but to no avail.

Ugh. Tips on finding tents / vehicles?
Zexis replied to Zexis's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
We've been rolling through nearly every supermarket along the western side of the map, particularly in the north.
