    Lag Spikes, Help!

    I have a good computer, not great but good enough that i never have problems running games. I have all of the settings on the lowest possible option and still get a lag spike about every 10-12 steps regardless of what server I am in. Any ideas on how to fix this? P.S. I checked and I don't have anything running in the background that may slow down my computer. Thanks for your help. Processor: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU P8700 @ 2.53GHz 2.53 GHz Memory (RAM): 4.00 GB 64 bit

    I appreciate the advice, thanks for taking time to answer. Unfortunately none of these solutions worked /: and i have a couple friends who have both worse internet connections and computers than me that seem to run the game fine. Are there maybe any settings i need to tweak or something?
