To be perfectly honest, I decided to play on that server today because it was updated to the latest beta. I try to stick with servers that only allow death messages and third person. I'm indifferent towards crosshairs, but I generally try to avoid them... I could not look for cars because I was logging on at NWAF. Lately, none of my original fixes have been working either. :(

That was really cool of you to post that fix yesterday, but I have one question for anyone that has done this method. Will this cause BattlEye to overreact for messing with the files? I'm sorry if that's a dumb question, but I'd rather be safe. A few people confirmed this method on the thread that the quote was copied, but the 1.7.2.5 Pending Update thread has since been locked. I hope this method reaches more people with the graphical issue. Thanks in advance to anyone that can confirm that is method is 100% safe and effective. I haven't had any artifacts since trying it, but I've only been playing for over 3 hours. ^_^

Plenty of servers have "Death Messages" turned off, so you just need to pay attention to which servers you play on...

Last night, I decided to venture with a friend to the NWAF. I had not been to the NWAF in over two weeks, but I wanted some action. Today we logged into a server and set forth our plan in motion. My friend had an AS50, and he was well hidden in the tree line. Since my balls are massive, I decided to book it across the tarmac to the fire station. Once I arrived, I climbed the ladder to the highest roof. After about 5 minutes or so, the action started... Some player crawled out of the bottom of the fire station entrance, and he headed toward the ATC tower doors. I promptly shot him a few times with my M14 AIM, and my companion looted his body. He had a few things to salvage, but unlike usual, I decided to leave the body as a trap for other players. Not 10 minutes after securing our locations again, we hear the sound of a helicopter. The helicopter made it about halfway to the ATC tower before we pumped it full of AS50 and M107 rounds. The pilot attempted to eject, but the explosion thrust him into the side of the tower. If the explosion didn't kill him...well, that wall did the trick. After all of that, I was able to murder three various server hoppers (...I assume) that came to check out the crashed helicopter site. So to Sean, the helicopter pilot, we thank you. You provided us with many murders, and most importantly, laughter... ^_^ See you in the wilderness, my fellow bandits... :bandit:

I absolutely love the Mk 48 Mod 0. I usually carry that or an M14 AIM, but it depends on what I am trying to accomplish. However, no matter what my goals for the day might be...I plan on making a TON of noise along the way. ;)

Well, one time I was chilling in a barn after a fresh spawn. I found a CZ 550 and a Winchester 1866 with ammo for both. I went to another building and found an Alice Pack, so I decided to go pick up some jerry cans from the barn for my friend. I hid in the bottom corner of the barn, and I noticed a crossbow and double barrel shotgun had spawned where the previous two weapons had been... I decided to pack a bowl while I waited for my friend. As I was relaxing, I start to hear "friendly, friendly..." from some player approaching the barn. I didn't reply, but he came in and asked if he could take the double barrel shotgun since all he had was a crossbow. As he went on and on about how people kept backstabbing him...and how nice I was for letting him have the gun...I never once said anything. However, as soon as he went to exchange his crossbow for a shotgun, I promptly put a couple of slugs in the back of his head... I've been known to pull a dick move or two... :rolleyes:

They all start out in self defense...sure...and then you see someone with that ever elusive Coyote Pack you've always wanted... :murder:

I was under the impression that the only files needed were the "anim" files...I'm not talking about reverting back 1.7.2.3, but rather, using said files with the 1.7.2.4 current version files. My only real concern was BattlEye getting all fussy...

Lingor Island is balls... It is just a tiny little TDM map compared to Chernarus. The art of survival has been removed in favor of PVP...to each his or her own, I suppose. :rolleyes:

The Lingor stuff isn't supported by anyone on the official forums, so good luck with all of that... ;)

They've obviously run into a bigger issue while working on this patch, but we can all hope that it comes out soon. ^_^

The learning curve, honestly, might be a bit steeper since you'll be playing alone. However, I do not think soloing makes this game boring. If anything it makes it more intense. I play with 2-3 other people almost everyday. We do not force a set time since 2 of us are in North America while the other 2 live in the United Kingdom. Therefore, all play solo from time to time, too. It makes you an all around better threat to everything else in the game when you get a ghillie, sniper, NVGs, and all the survival tools because this allows you to solo easily. Don't knock it until you try it... :ph34r:

The detail is significantly higher. I shelled out the extra cash for both BAF and PMC. This not only affects player models in civilian clothing, but much like the above picture, it makes the ghillie suit and camouflage clothing high resolution, too. In addition to this, it makes certain weapons have a higher resolution, too. This includes the BAF AS50 and certain other guns. ^_^

I second this as it does not appear to be on purpose. It does indeed feel like an exploit. There are a few things that need to be a bit tweaked at the moment with aggro vs de-aggro. PS - I love your username, and I just ate you. B)

The best $25 (...got it on sale) that I've EVER spent on anything video game related in the last 10 years... ^_^
