  1. Just joined the server today, and it's pretty enjoyable. Met some guys near Balota that I ran with for a bit until one of their buddies drove off with them in a car. Continued along then got killed by some person camping the road to Cherno, I saw the person once, but a G17 isn't a very powerful weapon against someone with an automatic rifle and a sniper. Still, first time someone hasn't KoS'd and didn't run away ASAP. Good server, I'm looking forward to playing some more. EDIT: Okay, this server is amazing. For those of you that were with me in Cherno tonight (My IGN was Austin), that has got to be one of the best moments I've had in DayZ. Perfect amount of friendly players and bandits. Massive recommendation for this server.

How did you kill your first victim?

I only have a total of three player kills, and one of them was already dieing. I've had a few times where I tried to kill, but they usually fail. My first kill was in Elektro (of course. Where else?). I had recently been shot at by a .50 cal sniper (with bad accuracy, to my luck), and was pretty freaked out at the moment. I begin to loot the office building, and I somehow notice another player (I can't remember...I think I saw running zombies. This was like a month and a half ago). I hide on the little ledge outside and see him looting something...I peek around the corner and murder him with my pistol. But wait! There's more! My second murder! I take the decent loot off his body (MP5) and go towards the firehouse in the center of the city. While there, two survivors come up the stairs (*Heart attack*). I try to leave, and suddenly see blood coming from the ceiling, and one of the two comes down and drops to the floor. I was sure he was still alive, but I didn't have the supplies to save him. I sadly put him out of his misery. And guess what? It was the same guy I killed 3 minutes earlier...sorry buddy. My last murder was in NWA. Some guy shooting off an Enfield. I don't think I need to explain that much more. (There was also some guy that we both killed each other at the same moment. Don't really count that one though, for whatever my logic that I can't remember is).

Well, I now have 2 encounters with snipers and I have lived through both. For some reason, when I logged back in today I was on the coast near Elektro; not one of the tall towers in Cherno that I logged out of. I decided to head through the city and try to hit the fire station in the middle of town. Barbed wire. Ugh. I go up on the roof and through the window I am able to exchange a Winchester for an AK. I start to go towards the ladder, only to see some aggro'd zeds. I go prone and see a few fresh spawns being chased by zombies. After a few minutes of watching, I hear shots. Looking towards the field in northern Elektro, I see another survivor with what I believe was a Winchester and later using a revolver. I simply watch with my Binocs, but my friend calls me and I get distracted for a few minutes. Looking back in, I see two survivors bleeding like mad in the field. I decide that since I have an epi pen and a blood bag, if one of the two is still alive I'd revive 'em. I make my way towards the field, when suddenly I see a puff of smoke. "Crap! Why did In shoot?! Wait...I still have full ammo-" Another puff. A sniper was shooting at me. I instantly sprinted towards a building to hide behind, with the unseen sniper firing another 3 or 4 shots at me. The shots stop, so I figure the sniper must be on the mountain east of Elektro. I look at the area with binocs, but I see nobody. I try to go back towards the fire station - more shots. I eventually make it, and after seeing the coast is clear, decide that I'd played enough for one session. Two snipers have tried to kill me. One with a .50 cal, the other with a weaker one (DMR, SVD, not sure, the noise was very quiet). And both of my would-be assassins have failed. Better luck with your next prey, buddy.

Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

Well, I'm in a bit of a problem right now. I still have my infection (saying 'still' because I have posted here often before, but a while back), which is really keeping me from trying to become a medic. So I've come up with a few options (Reason for post here is because one option is a medical request). 1. If anybody is in the NE corner of the map, I need antibiotics and probably a blood transfusion, I'm right north of Black Lake. 2. Set up a tent somewhere safe, store my valuables (Coyote backpack, AKM, assorted tool belt items), and try and get some antibiotics myself. 3. Just respawn and begin anew. If I die in option 2/take option 3 I probably won't go back for my belongings because I would consider it cheating, as the only thing I would lose would be negative statuses, and would still have my gear (assuming I get to the body in time, of course). So, if any medics can help me, please send me a message. However, I won't be able to play until late tomorrow/this weekend. Also, please don't offer if you don't have antibiotics, I don't want a medic getting sick for no good reason. Otherwise, if some people could help me make up my mind, I would be grateful. Thanks.

Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

It seems whenever I come to terms with something bad that happens to me, the situation fixes itself. There seems to be some bug that happened when I got hackkilled, so to my shock, I logged back in the exact same way I was before I died, standing right next to the hospital ladder. With every item still there...sadly including my sickness. So I'm heading north to create a camp with a tent to hold my supplies, as soon as the tent wants to work (THE GROUND IS FLAT, DANGIT). Also found an ATV, but I had no way to repair it. So this sort of boosts how soon I can go medic, other than needing antibiotics. So anybody who needs help around the NE parts of the map, I'll be able to help (Soon). And trust me, I'm not somebody who would use this thread to just hunt people down to kill :)

Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

Okay, update on my status: I no longer am infected! Wooo!.... ....Well, that's what I would say, except my server (US #00, Operon Technologies) just got hit with the everyone dies hack. At first I thought I somehow died on a ladder, then noticed that every player had a death message. I'm not too bummed, but I will miss my AKM and my Coyote backpack. But this will let me turn over a new leaf and change from my ways (And I don't mean much by that. I've shot a grand total of 3 people over all my characters). So, I suppose I will attempt to get onto this medic whitelist as soon as I am capable (I can probably help someone tomorrow, assuming I get some decent gear/don't get killed by Cherno/Elektro deathmatchers). And to those that offered to/did help me, thank you, it's too bad noble efforts like that can be ended by some guy with hacks who is on the same level as a middle school bully. I suppose I'll post later on where I can help people.

Thank you very much Dr. Leto! That blood transfusion will help me very much in the future. It's okay you didn't have antibiotics, I haven't even seen boxes in hospitals lately. I wish I had something that I could've given you...and I also hope I didn't give you the infection too. By the way, if you heard shots afterwards, that was me killing a zombie and a cow. I look forward to joining this noble group of medics in the future (when I can help someone without getting them sick :P ). Well, I'll be back on this thread when I need help or can register aid...being a medic seems so much more fun than being a bandit/survivor. Again, thanks for the help!

Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

Is it just me, or is stuff no longer spawning in hospitals? Tried to find some antibiotics a few minutes ago and there was nothing in the hospital (Which I discovered after a few seconds of stumbling in the dark and realizing I was in the hospital, and then another minute and half trying to get my flashlight to work, and in the process losing all of my M1911 ammo. At least I still have one .45 ACP in my backpack...). I was hoping that a medic wouldn't have to risk their own life to come get me in Berenzino, but I guess that won't happen, as I can find no antibiotics. So if someone can PM me on here or on steam, I'd be thankful. I'll try to respond ASAP, but no promises, sometimes I forget to check the forums for several hours and get responses like 5 minutes after my post. Steam Name: [CrimDom] Elseta

Hey, to whoever PM'd me, thanks, I'm sorry I didn't respond though, didn't really want to play at the time and didn't see the message until a while afer you sent it. If you're still near Berenzino, cool, if not, it's okay. And Brentgord, you're gonna need to tell the medics where you are so you can get healed :P

Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

Okay, update on my status, still need antibiotics and blood tranfusion on roof of Berenzino hospital. However, after finally getting into a server (Tried like 6 servers, either couldn't get in, or was dark/laggy/both and left it upon spawn) and raiding the supermaket, I was able to raise my blood up to I believe 5k instead of 3k (Found quite a bit of food). I've also checked every box in the hospital, roof and inside, no antibiotics. It'd be nice if they spawned a bit more often (not as much as say, bandages, but you should be able to find one or two in each unlooted hospital).

For those that replied to me, thanks, but you'll gonna want to hold off for now, I'm not gonna be on until tomorrow. Feel free to send a message on here or steam (Steam name is [CrimDom] Elseta) anytime tomorrow after about 8 or 9 Central time and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. And at Wonkavator, thanks for the encouragement. I could do that, but I'd only be able to go to 6000 blood without wasting food, and I've already used all my food to get to my 4k amount. I was actually thinking about helping you as I had some blood bags, but I don't think doctors go to work sick  Stupid zombie had to give me an infection in frikkin NWAF...I'm suprised I've managed to make it to Berenzino. Suppose it's good though, I prefer the hint of danger in the city then the boringness of the woods, avoiding any towns I see other than the ones I want/need to loot.

Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

Okay, tried to solve my problem myself because I didn't think anybody with antibiotics was near my location, but now I'm in a worse spot. Currently on Berenzino hopsital rooftop with ~4000 blood and still sick, need antibiotics and a blood transfusion (I have blood bag). I'll update this post if I find antibiotics, but I'll still need a transfusion. Sorry about the possibly dangerous location, but I'm afraid if I leave I'll get zombie KO'd and die. Please PM me so we can work out server (you may have to wait until tomorrow, I may not play until then). Thanks in advance.

Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

Dang, I wish I wasn't in need of help myself, I could help some of these people around Stary/NWAF. I don't want to get other people sick though, but it seems as though none of you medics have any antibiotics (Not trying to be rude, just stating the point) I'll need to make a run to a hospital myself. If anybody does have some antibiotics, though, again, I am in the barn NW of Grishino. I'm also in need of a blood transfusion, but I do have a blood bag.

Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

I'm in need of antibiotics and a blood transfusion in the barn NW of Grishino (I have a blood bag, all that is needed is the antibiotics). If that is too close to the NWAF for a medic's liking, I can move, but I will be in the woods most likely as I do not want to risk getting KO'd by a zombie. Please PM me so we can determine time/server and if I need to move.

    DayZ Stories

Had a bit of a funny, short moment in Elektro today (Anybody noticed all my stories seem to be in Elektro...) I was looting the house across the street from the Elektro market today, and as I'm getting ready to leave, I see a guy sprint past the doorway with a pursuing zombie. I prepare my weapon (Lee Enfield. Didn't really want it, but seeing as how the Double Barrel shotgun is just as loud, I'd rather have a weapon with more ammo), and run upstairs. Looking through the window, I see the survivor in the market holding a revolver. I think about taking the shot, but don't because I am afraid the bullet will A) Attract every zombie from there to Cherno and B) Won't go through the glass (I've tried to shoot a zombie through the window before with no luck. Bulletproof maket glass?). So I simply sat there, watching, as I see this poor guy having to run in circles from the zeds, he must've been out of ammo and couldn't find any there (I coulda sworn I saw a revolver in the store when I was there ten minutes earlier though...). At one point he ran out back and then through the front again to escape the zombies. Pretty much the entire time he was in there I had my sights trained on his head. Eventually he ran off and I didn't see him afterwards, and I don't believe he ever saw me in that building. "Ever get the feeling you're being watched?"

Well, I just had an interesting (but short) adventure in Elektro, resulting in no less than six other people encountered along with one dead person. I spawned near Krutoy Cap, and decided to head to Elektro. As I arrive, I suddenly see a name appear on my screen - a survivor named Edward. I do not know if he saw me, as I quickly ran into the woods and headed out to the northern firehouse. Upon getting there, I noticed two things: The gate was closed to the area, and there was a lack of zombies. Inside there was a dead survivor with an empty Lee Enfield. After checking for weapons and finding a shotgun, I make my next stop the supermarket. To my luck, I was off a street, and had to go through the front instead of the back; why was that lucky? Because as I neared the store, I see two other people walking out the back (Live survivor count: 3). I don't fine much in the store, but I do find some toolbelt items. My next stop is the school, and while I find nothing of use there, I hear constant gunshots in the distance. I avoid that area, and instead move towards a nearby house. I freeze as I see another survivor in the room with a weapon. He didn't see me yet, and I wondered if I should take a shot; my lack of ammo and fact that I wasn't freaking out as I was last time I killed make me decide not to. Also, he begins to turn in my direction, and I quickly walk out of the room. This other person says "Friendly!" a few times over mic, however, and I just check the building for supplies. Neither of us shoot the other, but I still walk out without him following. I end up circling back to the church, and on the way I get some mental image of another survivor in the church with a gun pointing at the door. Upon going in, that turned out to be a prediction. Two survivors, one with an AK and the other I have no idea. The AK person opens fire with no communication, and I run. He comes out and I get shot in the leg, falling around the corner. They both come around, and the last thing I see is the AK staring down my face...BAM. I guess 'Thou shall not kill' doesn't apply in the zombie apocalypse. Of course, it's my luck to see six people in the city all at once. And I thought that was a quiet, low population server. (The people in the church may have been my killers as well, but I never saw any names. And I can't really blame the guy for shooting me; I would've panicked had I seen a guy with a shotgun come around the corner too).

More adventures with my friend and I. We connected back in our building in Cherno, and we decide to hit the hospital before we leave, along with the apartments. Our next stop becomes the Balota airfield, in hopes of finding a decent weapon other than our pistols. Our search is in vain, though, as there is nothing found in the tower or the hangars. I make my way out and start to go back to the woods, when suddenly I see a zombie run. Not at me or my friend, but someone else. I look over back towards the airfield and see a survivor named Kevin knocked out and being eaten by a zombie. I wouldn't let myself leave him, so my friend and I decide to shoot the zombie attacking him, and my friend covers me while I bandage, wake up, and give a blood transfusion to him. We then split paths, him heading in the direction of Cherno, my friend and I going back to the woods (We later see a mesage saying Kevin died. Oh well). Fast foward fifteen minutes and we arrive in Elektro, my friend and I planning to raid the firehouses. We go to the far one first, and climb up, seeing no weapons. However, I notice zombies running after something; my friend and I ladder-teleport out of the tower and wait. We see another survivor come up, and he sees us and shoots. He kills my friend in one shot, while I tried to hide. He shot my legs, breaking my bones, so in a last-ditch effort, I get out of prone and light him up with my M1911. We kill eachother. Upon respawning, I for some reason was back in the house in Cherno, with all the gear I had before I logged in earlier. Confused but somewhat hapy, I run back to Elektro. Upon nearing the firehouse, I see a survivor running into the woods - most likely my killer, who looted all of our bodies. The firehouse has no bodies in it. Moving out, someone shoots at me but misses (I see the bullet hole, a mere foot away from me. I run into the woods). I decide to check the school, and while in there see another survivor running in. He doesn't notice me, and I get a clear shot at him. One magazine of M1911 later, I had my first murder. I take some of his stuff, including an MP5. My next stop is the church and other firehouse, but on the way some guy runs past with a mob of zombies after him. And of course they go after me. I sprint to the church, and nearly die there along with losing most of my MP5 ammo and gaining probably 10 zombie kills. I move to the firehouse with 7k blood, and in the tower, two other people come up (One of them being the guy I shot before. He didn't know, however, because he never saw me or my name). I move to the top floor and they follow, but look at the loot instead. I move down a floor and suddenly see blood falling through the roof, and my earlier kill comes down and then falls down. He's still alive though, so I put him out of his misery. My first twio murders, from the same person. How strange. I then have some more (mis)adventures and then log out with only 2k blood left, laying on the docks in Elektro. I assume that the case with the two survivors is that they were either a) Both nearly dead, with one passing out and dying and the other passing out or b)My kill had a melee weapon, so he may have attacked the other person, killing him but getting shot in the process, and then tried to get me but fell down and then got killed by me.

    DayZ Stories

Have two new stories to share, both of which with one of my friends who I was talking with over Skype. The first story begins with both my friend and I spawning near Elektro. Him on the west side, me on the east. I decide to run around the city to avoid zombies, and after about ten minutes of running (These people have incredible stamina), I found him at the lighthouse. However, I was needed a drink badly after my long run, so I decide we should go to the Elektro supermarket. On the way we see some guy crouchwalking along the road. I didn't want to deal with other people though (Last two times ended with me getting shot), so we just went prone and continued onwards. We head into the woods after a zombie sees us, and then run back into a nearby barn. Inside, we both luckily find hatchets, and I chop the the two Z's that found us. We continue along to the city, and I run to the market through the back. However, upon entering the building, I see a dead body of a poor civilian. I quickly look at the body, and turn around, seeing another person behind me. At first I thought it was my friend, but I then remember that he was about 50 meters away from me before I started running to the market. I freak out and run into the back. He follows, and I decide that if me and my friend are going to survive, this man needed to die. I rushed him with my axe, and he shot me in the face, along with my friend. Moral of the story: Don't bring a hatchet to a gunfight. You'll lose. The next story is after ten or so minutes of death and respawns, while my friend runs around in Cherno. Upon my nearing the city, I am spotted and decide to do the stupidest thing that can be possible on purpose: Sprint into a city. I run to the north part of town, through the industrial area, in hope of looting some medical supplies and the nearby apartments. After losing the zombies in the industrial area, I grab some bandages, morphine, blood packs and epi-pens in the hopsital and then find some food, drink, and an M1911 in the apartments. I then head towards the center of the city to meet up with my friend, who says he found a building full of supplies (He also found an ALICE pack somewhere else, but it wouldn't let him take it for some reason). I go to the hotel building, and a few minutes later my friend shows up. He leads me to the lootfest building, in which I proceed to grab a few more M19 mags and some more food/drink. We decide to camp out in the building for a while, because we both wanted to see the game when it's night. Nothing really happens, but my friend says he hears gunshots every so often. Also, there was a zombie across the street who would not move, and was there for at least half an hour. My friend and I joked around saying he was waiting for the bus. I then had to log off, and that's the end of the story so far.

    DayZ Stories

Just started playing so I don't have many experiences, but this is the most memorable thing so far. My previous attempts at survival ended in failure due to my lack of weapons. The only thing I ever found was an axe. So, upon spawning (I believe I spawned in Kamarovo), I went east. I had made the mistake earlier of going west in a previous life, not realizing my position until later. (I did see a truck in the woods at the edge of the map, but I didn't want to steal it). As I travel east I hit Balota, and I decide to go to the airfield there in hopes of finding a weapon. Climbing to up to the ATC Tower, I find myself an AKS- finally, a true weapon. I relished the few zombies I killed with that gun, knowing I could actually live through a zombie attack. I proceeded to leave the airfield, in hopes of finding food and water in Cherno. As I'm walking out, however, I check the small building nearby (The rectangular one with two small rooms, one on either side). Nothing is wrong, but as I am about to leave, I see someone walking into one of the rooms. I froze, as that was the first alive person I had ever saw. However, he ran off, so I assumed if he didn't want to deal with people, I would leave him alone. I'm almost out of the airfield when it suddenly starts raining. I didn't want to get an infection, so I retreated back into one of the hangars. I type in "Are you friendly?" right after I shoot a zombie. After moving into the next hangar, I see him and - BLAM. Shot in the face. The last thing I see is him dragging my body away as I'm dying. I respawn, and I wanted revenge. However, both that time and the next I got caught by zombies right away, got cornered, and died. The third time, I spawned in Kamenka, and I started going back to the Balota airfield. As I am nearly there, a zombie spots me, so I book it to the ATC tower. And while I'm running in, I see another player - My killer? I don't know. I ran into the tower, climbed up the stairs, and looked for a weapon. All I see is a crowbar. I look outside, and see the other person getting surrounded by zombies. I wanted to help, seeing as how I got him into that mess, but I had to whack a zombie to death on the stairs. While I am doing that, I see a death message. I go back up and see a body in the distance, and no zombies around. Rest in peace, (possible) friend. I felt bad for him, but also happy, because if that was my killer, I had got revenge. I went to his body and saw he had some nice loot, and I needed supplies, so I took his weapons, provisions, and backpack. I then ran off into the woods and took a break. It was nice to disconnect without dying first.

*FIX* to stuck on loading screen!

There should've been a glowing holy light around my computer when I found this, Arma II has been giving me trouble all day. It took some time just so I could play the normal game, ugh. Thank you for posting this, of course such an annoying problem has an easy fix.
