If you've got to piss every 100 minutes of you piss yourself, you've got some serious issues. You also have some serious oversights in your system. I was in the Infantry for nine years, and I can tell you that we didn't piss or shit anywhere near that often. Keep in mind that when you're exerting yourself by running, crouch-walking, and crawling, you will likely sweat a lot of your hydration out. It wasn't uncommon to drink water most of the day and not piss at all.

Was trying to join US 1345, my ping was in the 80s, so shouldn't have been a problem. Admin was present in the game and kept kicking me when I tried to join for no cause. Tried multiple times to confirm it wasn't an error, took the following vids as proof: In this video, Lemisto switches to Admin right before I start to log into the game. Then in this video, [YOLO]CHAZ is the Admin. I've got one more video where I actually made it into game, about 30 seconds or so later I was kicked. If needed to take action, I'll be happy to post it.

So I made a post in the Server General topic to report the admins on US 1345. I've got video proof of them kicking me for no reason, as well as a screenshot of their (still, as of this post) locked server. There are also two other posts from people about this same server, right around the time I was making mine. I'm certain that they are chopper hunting due to the update, but as nice as it might be to have one, this is just bullshit behavior on their part. If multiple admins are behaving that way, that server needs to be blacklisted.

US 1345 - Admin Kicking w/o Cause
-E-Claymore replied to -E-Claymore's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
UPDATE! Server is locked with 8 people in. Gee, I wonder what they could be after...helicopters maybe? -
Petrol Bombs (Molotov Cocktails) would be sweet!
-E-Claymore replied to J-Hat's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
As horrible as it would be to have this happen to me, I have to say...I LIKE IT! Since it'd be straight gas, it wouldn't need to work as effectively as if someone did it currently (which generally uses a mixture of things), but yes, this would be very cool. Er, hot. -
I see what you're going for, but trying to enforce places like isn't a realistic concept and would really break the 4th wall. In an apocalyptic event like the game has portrayed, there won't likely be any organized body that could enforce this type of system, or at least not for some time. There's been plenty of movies that dealt with topics like this (The Postman comes to mind), and any military force/government that comes about is highly likely to be akin to a dictatorship. It's more likely that you'd be conscripted into their ranks, rather than simply trade your goods and go on your way. I completely agree that it can be very frustrating at times to have things you don't need, and need things you don't have, but that's why you have to find a server with some like-minded people that are willing to trust, and that you can trust.

Semi-permanent Residence, (un)-safe housing
-E-Claymore replied to Fireworks's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
The biggest problem with this idea, which I think has merit, is that once you start to repair/fortify/maintain said residence, you WILL draw attention from other players, and therefore, you'll get camped. A lot. The only way I see this being viable is if server populations were locked. That is, a character being restricted to the server it was created on. Since server hopping is common, and with no stable population on a server, you'd have a never ending stream of people either wanting to loot your place or kill you for fun. If they want to join you, there's a good chance it's only to loot your place and eventually kill you anyways so they can take it over. If DayZ were a co-op game instead of the multi-player game that it is, this would be a great idea, but don't think it'd work in the current environment. -
US 858 Hit again by hacker with M107 Thermal
-E-Claymore replied to RSOblivioN's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Just curious, but how do you know it has a thermal scope? If it's because it's night in game and he's hitting them, all it takes is cranking the gamma and brightness up and he'll be able to hit them most of the night. -
Please update your servers! (To 95xxx or later)
-E-Claymore replied to Ander (DayZ)'s topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Be glad people can get to the loading screen, we just get a message that says "Bad version, server rejected connection" in the ARMA 2 screen. Getting a bit peeved with HFB. -
Newbie got a motorcycle in 10 minutes :D
-E-Claymore replied to scarecrowq's topic in New Player Discussion
Now that sucks. IMO, the bike is the best vehicle in the game. Might be loud to Z's, but it's pretty quiet for players. It falls down when not in use, so it's a lot easier to hide, doesn't require fuel, and from my experience, self-repairs itself from time to time. WIN! -

You can probably drive it safely, but do NOT bump into anything. That will most likely make it explode, you along with it. Good find though. -
I agree that there's a difference between killing to survive and killing because you can. The only time I've killed another player, prior to being shot at, was because my food and water meters were both flashing, and the supermarket I was in had neither. I was getting ready to start running from house to house, Z's be damned, when I hear player footsteps just outside. He was armed with an AK74S Kobra, had an ALICE pack, etc...so I shot him. I wasn't proud of it. I wasn't giggling cause I killed some noob. In fact, I felt kinda bad about it. Like many games, the choices I make in DayZ reflect what I'd do if I were really in that situation. I'm no murderer, but if it comes down to a stranger or myself, I choose to live. Yes, I could have asked him for spare food over direct chat, he might have even given me some happily, but at the time, I was feeling the desperation of my predicament (which is a testament to how good this game is and can be). And if you're that player, who killed the two Z's that followed you into the building, then were shot, I'm honestly sorry. Next time I came across a player, it was at a helicopter crash. Guy aggroed some Z's and started shooting them with his newly found FN FAL. Bad choice. He got mobbed, I saw a LOT of blood, but he got them down. Now, I could have shot him, one shot would probably have done the trick, but instead, I openly ran across the field towards him, all the while saying "friendly, I've got a blood bag if you need help" as I approached. Oddly, he declined, but he didn't get hostile, so we parted ways peacefully. That's two of dozens of encounters I've had with players. Nearly every other one involved an exchange of bullets, but that's due to their mentality, not mine. Yes, there are a lot of players that are hostile to EVERYONE, but every now and then you find someone that's genuinely friendly. If you do, I recommend you exchange contact info so you can play together again.

Any one got any tips on finding cars?
-E-Claymore replied to nigel.moran@hotmail.com's topic in New Player Discussion
Cars are very rare, though there are maps available online that show where they might spawn. If you've got a normal area that you play in, learn where the spawn points are and be sure to check the locations regularly. Eventually, you should get lucky. If you do find one though, be ready to go on a scavenger hunt for parts to fix it, and know how many bag spaces each part uses before picking anything up. And remember, you have to pick it up into your general inventory before you can put it in your backpack, so be sure there's room enough there. Good luck! -
My honest opinion of Day Z (And message to the creator)
-E-Claymore replied to d4rk51d3x's topic in New Player Discussion
Mmmm, can everyone feel the love in this thread? Seriously though, DayZ has a VERY steep learning curve. When I first started playing, if I spawned anywhere near a large city, I'd immediately respawn. Having played for a while now, if I spawn near Komarovo, for example, I'm quite happy. I make a full on sprint for the high yield building there, as I've yet to have an instance where there isn't at least one hatchet in there, which I have time to equip before dispatching the Z's I've brought in my wake. At least until their indoor behavior changes, but I'll deal with that when it happens. My point is, when you first spawn, you've got literally nothing to lose, so be bold, get crazy, take chances. It might just pay off in a big way. You WILL learn how far you can push things, what the Z's are capable of doing, how to get them off your tail, etc. If not, keep calm and respawn. -
A plea to Rocket: Fix What's Broken or Let Us Help
-E-Claymore posted a topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Quite a few of my friends and I started playing DayZ a few weeks back and we've enjoyed the hell out of the game. Or we were. Now we're all exceptionally frustrated with it's current state, nearly to the point of leaving the game until the stand-alone comes out. If I get killed by someone with a sniper rifle because I ventured into "their" territory, fine. If I get into a gunfight over a can of beans and bleed to death, so be it. If I get careless and aggro a whole mess of zombies, I can accept the consequences. What I can't stand though, is all of the cheating that's going on. Aimbots, ESP, being killed from the map, etc.; the list goes on and it seems like nothing is being done to address it. There are websites dedicated to exploiting this wonderful game, simply because they can, and "It's part of ARMA II" as an explanation doesn't go very far. What's the point of looking for vehicles, searching for supplies, and getting the gear you really want, when it can be taken away in a second due to some game jerk using a hack? Things like this will KILL interest in DayZ, which would be a truly sad thing, as it's one of the most enjoyable games we've played in a long time. Active admins on a server can be a good front-line against this sort of behavior, IF they were able to ban players for this sort of activity... but they can't. In fact, we've heard that admins are getting even more restrictions on what they can do, so what's the point of even hosting a server? All that's doing is providing a place for other people to play in, and if honest players have to put up with the hacks and cheats and exploits... They. Will. Leave. Who's left? The people ruining the game. We started hosting a server, as we were hoping to create a more honest, stable play environment, but then we're told that we can't ban people for using hacks, only if their ping is too high. That's crap. If BattleEye can't catch the things people are doing, it should be up to server admins to do it, even if it only affects their server. We're talking about shutting our server down soon and moving on to a different game, which is highly disappointing, especially with as many people as I've told about this formerly amazing, currently frustrating game.- 26 replies

A plea to Rocket: Fix What's Broken or Let Us Help
-E-Claymore replied to -E-Claymore's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Thanks for the bump and endorsement deathTouch. I've been doing a LOT more reading on the forums and the general theme I've seen is that server admins can ban players, but they'd better have proof in the form of video, screenshots, server logs, etc.. While I can't monitor the server all of the time, I'm making it a habit to have Fraps recording, as well as streaming the BE scripts log, while I'm playing. Once I'm done for the day, I can delete the video files if I didn't see or hear about anything odd, but if something comes up, I'm covered. Pretty sure the other admins on the server will be doing the same thing, so I can only hope we'll create an environment that's far less desirable for the hackers to play in. -
After one of our group members found "a box with 10 of every weapon in ARMA II" just off the beach near the Balota airstrip, I started streaming our BattlEye scripts log. I'd not looked at this before, I'm not a programmer, but most of it was easily recognizable as normal; however, there were a few entries associated with two players that seemed out of place. I've removed the name/ID info, but here's the rest of the text that came up (different instances): #36 CfgWeapons" >> _x); if (_isOK) then { player addWeapon _x; }; } forEach _wpns; player addBackpack _ #30 if (isnil 'BIS_GITA_fnc_createMarkers' || false) then { BIS_GITA_fnc_createMarkers #36 select 1; }; _countr = 0; { dayz_myBackpack addWeaponCargoGlobal [_x,(_backpackWpnQtys select _coun #36 azine _x; } forEach _magazines; { _newUnit addWeapon _x; } forEach _weapons; if(str(_magazines) #36 CfgWeapons" >> _x); if (_isOK) then { player addWeapon _x; }; } forEach _wpns; }; #36 y + _tQty; }; if (_iItem != "") then { _item addWeaponCargoGlobal [_iItem,1]; }; }; case "weapon": { #36 raddWeapon = 'addWeapon' #36 raddWeaponcode = compile PreprocessFile (BIS_PathMPscriptCommands + 'addWeapon.sqf') #36 raddWeaponCargo = 'addWeaponCargo' #36 raddWeaponCargocode = compile PreprocessFile (BIS_PathMPscriptCommands + 'addWeaponCargo.sqf') #30 rcreateMarkerLocal = 'createMarkerLocal' #30 rcreateMarkerLocalcode = compile PreprocessFile (BIS_PathMPscriptCommands + 'createMarkerLocal.sqf') #31 rsetMarkerPosLocal = 'setMarkerPosLocal' #31 rsetMarkerPosLocalcode = compile PreprocessFile (BIS_PathMPscriptCommands + 'setMarkerPosLocal.sqf') *These were all in the log together, I only removed the player name/ID, which was the same on all of them* This was in the first 19 pages of a 1,588 page Word doc that I'd dumped the log into. It'd take WAY too long to scroll through it, so I'm trying to get an idea of what's legit and what isn't, that way I can use the find feature to search quicker. Basically, I'm trying to see if there are certain patterns that are easy to see when people are using hacks before taking any type of action. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Need Help Interpreting Our BE Scripts Log

Appreciate the feedback guys. I'm going to do some 'find' searches for the script you mentioned, see if anything turns up. -

-E-Claymore replied to -E-Claymore's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Followup to my previous post: It may be possible to create a list of confirmed cheats (commands, weapon hacks, etc.) that would be available to server admins, though who would do the compiling is beyond me. As far as going through hundreds, if not thousands, of pages of script entries, I'm considering the 'replace' feature to get rid of most of the repetitive text, that way it leaves only the anomalies. Should be much easier to scan through. -

-E-Claymore replied to -E-Claymore's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
One of our group was killed with a fully automatic crossbow today, which is almost funny, but only because it didn't happen to me. About 10 minutes later he says that he found a box just off the shore near the Balota airfield. In this box were 10 of every weapon in the game, not DayZ, in ARMA II. We told him to get some screen shots, hopefully will have those available later. So I started streaming the BE script on our server for a few hours while playing, put them in a Word doc (all 1,588 pages of it at 8 font size). Problem is, I'm not 100% sure what to look for, though I do see a few anomalies with a couple of players that I believe may be hack script. This is where Fraggle's idea about having a place where we can pool our resources would come in handy. The only down side to having it on the forum is, well, it might give some other people ideas. It'd be really nice if there were some way to have a dev, or any expert on it that wants to make cheating in the game a VERY risky thing to do, be able to take a look at the suspect bits of log. I'm just afraid that this could get to be a huge chore for someone, so maybe crowdsourcing may be the way to go. Ideas welcome here. -

The following is from the 'latest news' section on one of the sites that sells cheats: July 13, 2012, 15:27 CEST by netvortex: Arma2 *** / Dayz Aimbot online again! Hi everyone, we have updated our Dayz ARMA2 hack and it's undetected again. As announced we have digged deeply into Battleye and this update should last a little bit longer... July 11, 2012, 16:40 CEST by 1984: ARMA 2 hack down Even though I disabled every single check that BE runs, people are still getting banned. Hence the only thing I can think of is to disable the hack until figure out what is going on. I hope that the people who can run the hack without an issue understand why I have to do this. I will keep you posted. July 6, 2012, 00:06 CEST by netvortex: Arma2 *** / Dayz Aimbot released! Hi everyone, this announcement is coming a little bit late but we have released our *** & Aimbot for ARMA2. As some of you noticed we had a problem with Battleeye but since the developer forced us to look deeper into his software we can assure you that we soon will have a permanent solution for this anti-cheat software (similar to Punkbuster). So...how is this not something a developer should be aware of? -

Perhaps I'm barking up the wrong tree. With the boost that DayZ has given to ARMA II sales, maybe they can be convinced to implement a fix. Doubtful, especially since they have ARMA III in dev, but I may just give it a shot.
