1. Make people wait a minimum 30min-1hour time limit before they can enter the server their character died in. 2. Make it so everybody can loot their body except for them Too many times have I pondered what I would do once I finally bit the dust, but then I just laugh and shrug the stupid thought off because I know that I can just jog back to my body and shaboom get everything back, and if I am in a group at the time it is even easier and safer, as they will guard/hold it for me. The only time you ever need to worry about dying is if it is right when the server restarts, or if whoever killed you did it at close range, therefore meaning they can loot you quickly than leave, most of the time I have to walk in to a popular area to even get noticed and even after I have died in said area my killer is probably too terrified to stick around or go near the corpse because of the multiple people that just heard our shootout/ snipers that can see him right now. And you do not need people for blood transfusions anymore because all you need to do is die in a discreet area and then run back to the body with full blood. I recommend this mainly because the game is supposed to be realistic and immersive but dying and killing is such a systamatic predictable process that it still feels like any other game where you has a shootgun dat shoots bullets.

So don't play it Ok. I think someone else also suggested this idea, the more I think about it the more I like it.But as was the problem with my original suggestions teams would still be at a huge advantage. So I'm going to let other people keep building on to their ideas within the thread, since my original ideas weren't that well thought, plus i can't make 1 of my own posts without being horded by angry children. I am still completely interested in the idea however. -
So right now i think DayZ just looks and acts too silly, will it be any scarier and bloodier in SA? The zombies are just gray-skinned people in perfectly intact farmers clothing rather than being more believable zombies, having giant chunks of meat missing from their bodies with clothes that have rip marks and stains all over them. And the sounds are just cartoony, the zombies sound constipated and high-pitched, and because of that they are also annoying to listen to rather than scary, and when they hit you it sounds like someone smacking a beanbag chair against a piece of wood, and they also shouldn't be smacking you at all, they should be clawing and biting, and when your character breaks their leg they sound like they only stubbed their toe. Lastly is obviously the environment, the most decrepit and degraded thing about the area around you are exploded cars (Zombies have explosives?) and small piles of rubble and rebar.

I guess that pretty much answers my original post, thanks Waldo, +1

It is a realism based survival simulator. QEF Actually that would make death rock, you get a memory video without having to worry about having a recorder up all the time and ass raping your FPS Is it really that hard to play another game or get off your ass for a half and hour? Sheesh. k Steak, halp, derail the thread with something people can at least laugh at instead of get butthurt over. So doing something systematic like jogging back to the exact position of a corpse because of some sort of past life telepathy is more immersing? -

If you think this is an unpopular type of suggestion then you are in the group of people that are too afraid to have it happen, by "it" I mean dying actually meaning something other than a 30 minute jog in the woods, go back to playing and being afraid of it. -

So I was getting bored basically having a mass of everything except for a car/heli so I carefully headed to NWAF to see if the choppers spawned, and while I was in one of the barracks I of course got sniped, but it isn't this that bothered me, it's the fact that neither me or the shooter had bandit skins, that he was about 20m in front of me with a SNIPER RIFLE, and that he literally had to use 2 whole clips to take me down from that distance, I recognised the weapon and counted his shots down to exactly 2 clips, the last one being obvious because he probably put most of it into me when I was already long past dead, I was thinking of doing the 8000m sprint to get my stuff back because from how retarded that was I was thinking he would find a way to trip over himself and just explode upon impact with the floor, but realistically I knew better. So I just thought I would share this experience here, because I have really never seen anything like it, how he managed to survive to the point of getting a sniper with that much ammo to burn and also surviving the short death run to the second barracks baffles me because of how that situation was handled. TLDR: I'm bored cause I'm dead so I wrote stuff.

When you play a game on a console you do exactly that, you play the game, you often play a simple game because the console does not have the power or enough buttons to operate a more complicated game like Stalker or other such games like it, with a PC, you mod it, or make something completely new out of an existing product such as DayZ itself.I am not basing this on an opinion, systematically the PC is what a console game is CREATED on, and the console plays it in its most sized-down form, it is fact. This discussion has not runs its course just because you and Bean fill the need to create a shit-bowl of derailed topics. QED, Leave. The. Thread. If. You. Don't. Like. Progress. -

In what way do I imply i want every single suggestion to be the absolute answer? I often get upset in every thread because they get derailed from the subject matter and go on to things that have nothing to do with what I want discussed, and then when things get back on the rails there has been so much talk about the other shit that it interferes with suggestions for the right shit. It's what I like to call a shit bowl, and most of my threads end up in one, so I hope you can see why exactly I'm upset and stop putting words in my text like 90% of the people I have met on these god foresaken forums so far. -

Ok for bean what the hell is "stile"? and for Chabow I make the correct assumption because in too many instances is it often true, there exists a large portion that are not as i catagorize them to be, but MOST of the ENTIRE PLAYERBASE are that way, if you are going to start riding the console/PC argument train, leave, this is about further developing the game, and a lot of people are too damn scared to have that happen, and it annoys the holy fuck out of me. -

You think ideas are going to be brushed aside because being a new player is hard? Go play your console. -
If I check run with steam and also check the steam beta fix thing, then it will launch, and some file missing errors will come up but I guess those don't matter because it continues to launch, then when the game comes up I get a bad version and it disconnects me. If i try to launch without the Run with Steam setting, then it will act like i do not have any of the games installed and will not launch whatsoever. What do. Edit: The file errors went away but, i still have a bad version message, and i DO have the wrong version however i have discovered that I can not update it with DayZ commander because it is acting like the games don't exist even though it gets as far as the connection screen.

This is hardcore survival, there should be a lot of things that set you back, even artificially, if you can't handle extreme conditions, you shouldn't have bought both ARMA2 games just to play DayZ, or you should have waited for the SA, the the situation you described in the last paragraph is a rare occurence unless you are sprinting through the middle of Cherno/Elektro/Bere -

Good point, I suppose it wouldn't make any sense at all if a normal person found a light machine gun and didn't know how to fire it whatsoever just because it looked big and complicated. -
So as I understand it is impossible for loggers to quit out in the middle of a fight without dying instantly when they log back in, however they may still do it because of two reasons: satisfaction and retrieval. You can just not log back in for awhile, therefore your attacker is gone, and then go loot your body (I have a separate thread on that already so I won't get much into it.), They get nothing, and you might just get everything. So I don't know if it would be possible but, if someone combat logs in the middle of a fight, they would still be dead upon log-in like now, but when they log out their corpse would be left there, so the killer can get his rightfully earned gear, because as I said above, some may still do it for the thought of knowing that the attacker gets nothing, and by chance they could get everything back.

Well I have heard a number of people say it does what I said earlier and I tested it myself and it worked then too, so I guess i was glitched
