I had thid issue the other day and beta patch and daycommnder had nothing to do with it! Is there an update for arma on steam by any chance? If so let it update and then try again.

I agree that the entrenching tool is useless, but it would need a lot of work to include hole digging into the mod maybe in the SA.

Yeah, I love the idea especialy the tide thing but there could only be a few caves so there would be no point in using them to hide gear in. Unless they are made to a massive scale and you could easily get lost etc, but again it would be pitch black in there and people that play this game cant stand the dark soooo... yeah maybe it would be a good place to hide gear!
