    How to survive solo!

    My first zombie kill was with a hatchet. It was a desperate, ugly melee that nearly killed me. On the other hand the second time I tackled a zed with a hatchet it was a one hit kill, No fuss whatsoever. Melee dosen't seem to be the way to go for zombies.

    Hey there. Hows it going? i'm a new player to both Day Z and Arma, though no stranger to FPS. I found Arma to be rewarding but..daunting in scale. Day Z is incredible but...It seems nice guys finish last. I've tried helping survivors, one killed me. The other merely demanded I hand over my gear, at which point I declined, and then I was brained with a hatchet and my gear was taken anyway. So...if you can't beat them, join them. I'm looking for a bandit group to help me rack up some kills, loot some gear and survive the island in that special bandit way. Any takers? I'm A Scot, so I'm on during British times and on Europe servers
