I was rolling along the coast today, handing out food/water/meds to new survivors. Doing my charity bit for the day before logging off. After meeting with a group of two, I ran away a bit to notice that they had taken EVERYTHING out of my backpack. This forced me to turn around and shoot both of them dead. If you give an inch, they take a yard. Which brings me to the question, why aren't you able to prevent anyone from accessing your backpack? Or just have a notification that pops up when someone DOES access your backpack. Unless these two were expert pickpockets, I highly doubt they could have emptied the content of my backpack into their pockets without me noticing.

Yes I think the notification would be an excellent option. Its also tricky because you can access someone's backpack even if you are facing them, which is wierd.

Yes. It's a mini-mod for DayZ requiring nothing but a steely resolve to murder people.

I used to feel the same way you did, but found a new element in my gameplay. Yesterday I was a protector for a bunch of bagpipe-playing scotsmen, was taken hostage, used a bus to pick up noobs on the coast, and have recently been going up and down the coast making new players answer trivia questions in exchange for prizes. It's all in how you play the game.

Just thought I would let the community know theres a group of hackers who enjoy frequenting Dallas 69. I stole their Ural which was parked outside of the apartments in Elektro as they were looting the building. I took copious amounts of fully automatic machine gun fire in the process. After driving away for a solid 10 minutes, I finally parked the truck in a discrete position and began rummaging through the inventory. This thing had every gun/item in the game. No sooner did I do so than several players spawned in close proximity to me and killed me with fully automatic m249 machine gun fire. Cool story isn't it, bros?

Grab DayZ Commander. It allows you to search for night servers. Most people don't like to play at night so servers reset when the time gets too late.

Join a very high population server and run along the west edge of the map. You will eventually find someone's vehicle.

Was looting the grocery store in cherno with my newly acquired AK74. A Mike Tyson zombie breaks through the nearest wall and slaps me on top of the head, knocking me unconscious. As I come to I notice a player run into the store with a makarov and attempt to loot my unconscious body. As I start to wake up he screams "THANKS FOR THE AK BRO" and pumps 6 shots into my prone body. Thanks Mike Tyson.

I don't think they spawn anymore since the new patch, I have yet to find one.

Don't mind the jerks on the forum. There are too many to keep track of nowadays. I also feel as if some guys are much quieter than they should be, but things are constantly changing and i'm sure we'll se some alterations concerning weapon noise.

Help me understand the butthurt over PK'ing, Bandits, PvP, killers, etc.

I don't get butthurt by people killing me. I just tried to start a new character today and was killed either on the coast or in a costal town by players carrying mil-spec gear. I must have died 10 times in 4 different servers before I just gave up. The problem people have is that since the game has no significant end-game content there is nothing left to do but shoot other people along the coastline. Once you've mastered the art of scavenging, avoiding zombies, building camps, and repairing vehicles, there's not much left.
